Legend Dragon Warrior

Started at rank 4 on the last day of the season, didn't track stats because on mobile.

Played a modified dragon warrior deck that was farming pirates.

It was an enjoyable climb for the most part. Final boss was a control warrior and it was a very close match that could have gone either way.

Mulligan Choices

Anything that costs 1 or 2 manna - I didn't give much more thought than that.  You want to always apply pressure with this deck.

Matchups

Aggro - From my experience this deck farms pirate and other aggressive decks.  The reason is we have great early game followed by the mid game dragons.

Control - You will probably lose but depends on their card draws of course...

Combo - Keep pushing face and applying pressure.  Usually you can kill them early so they don't have time to setup the combo.

Midrange - This matchup is 50/50 and heavily depends on the early draws.

Card Choices & Explanation

N'Zoth's First Mate - This is a tempo deck so it's important to get on board early.  It summons Patches the Pirate and the weapon helps clear early minions.

Patches the Pirate - Great for getting on board early and trading against other pirates.

Southsea Deckhand - Depending on your opening hand, I usually dropped this guy on turn 1 to help establish a board.  You have enough weapons that if you draw this mid game it's still good to trade or push face damage.

Alexstrasza's Champion - This is one of the main reasons to play Dragon Warrior.  2 manna 3-3 with charge?  Nuf said.

Faerie Dragon - Good early game dragon for other dragon synergies.

Fiery War Axe - Use this to trade into other minions.  It's usually not correct to go face unless you plan to equip another weapon.

Fierce Monkey - While it may not appear like a strong minion, the taunt is nice vs other pirates/aggro decks.  For 3 manna it helps with playing on curve.

Frothing Berserker - If they don't deal with this immediately, it can go nucular and win games on it's own.  I originally had Grommash Hellscream and another copy of Drakonid Crusher but these were dead cards in my hand in the early game.  Dropping these 2 cards allowed me to push more damage with the Berserkers.

Ravaging Ghoul - Good vs Egg Druid and other pirate decks.  Sometimes can be used with a weapon to remove a midrange minion.

Death's Bite - Just a great weapon.  Another reason to play this deck in Wild.

Kor'kron Elite - CHARGE!!  Keeps the pressure on and forces them to deal with your board.

Twilight Guardian - Another reason to play dragons.  Great taunt and helps vs aggro or egg Druids.

Azure Drake - Card draw and dragon are too good to pass up.  This is the only source of card draw so it's a necessary card.

Blackwing Corruptor - Great tempo card that helps clear off minions while putting a decent threat on board.

Drakonid Crusher - Only run one of these as a finisher.  I tried running two copies but it was a dead card for most of the game and I'd rather have early game pressure...

Dr. Boom - Great way to refill the board and apply pressure.  There are other options for this deck that could work such as [card]The Curator[/carad] but it just didn't apply enough pressure for my liking.

Deathwing - This card has won me several games on his own.  You can replace with another big dragon but this is useful as a last ditch effort if you have lost board in the late game.
