The main goal of Dragon Priest is simple: maintain board control with your overstatted/powerful minions and AoE.

The Meta Movement has been pretty good for Dragon Priest. When Wild originally came out it was very rarely seen, as N'Zoth Priest was thought to just be better, but with the release of MSoG Priest got a ton of insane cards, one of which was Drakonid Operative. Dragon Priest can pretty much beat everything; it's favored against aggro decks because of the overstatted taunts and powerful AoE, and against control because of powerful value swings like Netherspite Historian and Drakonid Operative.
