Check out my profile where I'll try to list some of the best wild decks for each archetype. I always appreciate suggestions to improve my decks.
Mech mage: Use strong mech synergy to defeat your opponent, with Archmage Antonidas as a secondary finisher.
Also there is literally no point playing Spider Tank instead of Nightmare Amalgam. It's just a strictly better version.
Hi, thanks for checking out the deck. Nightmare Amalgam's other tribes have no synergy with the deck so it's more or less the same card except for the fact that more destroy mechanics can target the amalgam. Either way I don't think it'd make a huge difference but feel free to use either one. Thanks for the comment!
You are actually right, it's all tribes mechanic is a pain more than it is a bless. But when you have a board wih Amalgam in it and it survives Dragonfire Potion, FeelsGoodMan :)
I didn't even think about Dragonfire Potion! If you're seeing a lot of priest decks running it in ladder then it'd definitely be a good card swap.
As a mech rogue, mech paladin, and mech mage player for 2 years and counting, I personally find that a lower curved deck plays out better for the higher ranks. As I am currently rank 11, I would like to offer some insight for those looking to start with mechs. I dont like Dr. Boom or loatheb as they have little to no synergy with the overall deck. While Dr. Boom does act as a good win condition, your burn spells should do a good enough job that you wont need such a high cost card in the deck. If you run book of specters i would try to go for less spells and more minions. I would like to point out your deck lacks early presence. And the higher curve puts you at risk of bricking vs control where you want to be the aggressor and force aoe early.
For those who want a faster variant, here is my current list and an explanation of choices
clockwork gnome x2
cogmaster x2
mana wyrm x2
annoy-o-tron x2
frostbolt x2
mechwarper x2
explosive runes x2
primordial glyph x2
snowchugger x2
arcane intellect x2
spider tank x2
tinkertown technician x2
fireball x2
goblin blastmage x2
piloted shredder x2
My idea with this build is to be more board oriented and use the burn not to go face but to defend the board. Glyph is your randomizer to search whatever you need for that situation. Explosive runes for aggressive matchups and extra reach when there are lots of taunts. No loatheb, dr. boom or antonidas as I do not believe these cards really impact the next turn much. While loatheb is a great option, many decks play a good number of minions that the only matchup you want it in is big priest and sometimes cubelock. Otherwise antonidas and boom are too slow compared to the rest of the deck. Its up to you how you want to orient your deck but as I mentioned I feel mechs are more aggressive and should be more focused on the first few turns. I hope you enjoy my list and please feel free to let me know your thoughts and comments.
Edit: If you would like more options you can substitute explosive runes for unstable portal and 1 snowchugger and piloted shredder for 2 gorilla bot a-3.
Most fun deck I've played in a long time. My elemental and archmage standard decks have been trash this meta but this deck is great in wild. I actually got to summon V-07-TR-0N using Mimiron's Head.
Lot of fun, thanks for sharing. a quick 6-1 even without drawing Archmage Antonidas yet
Is it playable without archmage, dr. balanced and lotheb? I am thining bout tryin it but I dont have these legendaries
