Warning: Very draw dependent. You can win some games very easily, while others you get screwed by RNG and end up feeling bummed out.
I am very thankful for all of the feedback and support!
update: Replaced 1 Ethereal Conjurer with 1Spellbender as it seems there needs to be a bit more consistency with secret draws and 2 Ethereal Conjurers seem a bit too slow

Shoutout to kiwiinbacon for this showcase!
Overview: This deck is all about using your secrets to fake out your opponents . If you are able to use your secrets in the correct way, you will be able to force your opponent into playing into them, allowing you gain a huge advantage.
Mulligan
Try to mulligan for Kabal Lackey, Babbling Book, or any secret.
Cards
Babbling Book: good one drop, can give you useful spells as well as secrets
Kabal Lackey: great card to play along with secrets, also turn one playable with a secret in hand
Mana Wyrm: great turn one card. Very powerful when combined with secrets or other early spells
Frostbolt: Versatile card, can use for early removal, or save for face
Medivh's Valet: Solid two drop, even without a secret in play, can be saved for midgame with a secret in play, for removal or face damage
Arcane Intellect: This deck runs out of cards in hand fast, so this is one of the only ways to replenish your hand, only use on turns 5+, as you cannot afford to play this and skip turn 3
Counterspell: Great secret, try to put pressure on the board to force your opponent to play a removal spell, only for them to realize that you have this in play
Mirror Entity: Probably the best secret to play in conjunction with Kabal Lackey, or Kirin Tor Mage. Pretty simple, just hope that your opponent doesn't play around it
Potion of Polymorph: Similar to Mirror Entity, this card can be very drastic to your opponent if they play into it. Only play on turn 3+, as you do not normally want to polymorph 1 or 2 drops
Ethereal Arcanist: If you have a secret in play when you play this card, it becomes a "must kill" for your opponent, or it forces them to play into your secret in order to halt this card's ability
Fireball: Solid removal, or face damage. Preferably face, as you normally kill your opponent with burst damage from your spells
Ethereal Conjurer: Solid 5 drop. Has a decent body and you can get a variety of useful spells from it for many different situations
Kabal Crystal Runner: One of the biggest minions on the deck, is very good even if you have played only 1 secret so far, as it would be a 5/5 that costs 4
Pyroblast: Great finisher. Normally you will not be able to kill your opponent without the aid of spells, and this is the most powerful in the deck. Make sure you use it when you have minions on the board as well
Azure Drake: Solid 5 drop, gives spell damage which is very helpful for your spells, as well as card draw, which is needed in this type of aggressive deck.
Ice Block: Decent by itself, can get great value when used with Medivh's Valet, Ethereal Arcanist, or Kabal Crystal Runner
Spellbender: Protects your minions who are on the board. Also can't be baited with The Coin
Possible Replacements
It depends on the draws, more than usual...
I love how the author claims rank 5 on the first day of the new season within hours and doesn't post a pic.
I like the deck, but is it optimized regardless of dust cost? I guess what I mean by that (we should really create a community term for this), are there more expensive card choices that could make the deck perform even better? Were you limited at all by your own collection, or do you think this version of the deck is about as ideal as it gets?
Thanks! And as for that term I mentioned, what do you guys think would be a better way of expressing that question? Maybe something like "wallet-optimized" or "rarity-optimized?" Or asking people if their decks were "collection-limited?" Is the deck "ideally-slotted?" Something that easily conveys the question of whether or not a deck could be better, if crafting costs/collection status wasn't an issue...
There is already a term called budget if that is what you are looking for. That mostly means max rares and no adventures
I think he's looking for a term for the opposite of budget. Like decks for people with every card ( wallet )
This deck is balls fun! I replace the secrets every few games just to f*** around. Can't read the meta if you don't know the meta
wooooowoooo
wooooowowowoowooooooooooooo
+1
Well the difficult part about aggro is when do you smorc and when do you trade... but this deck has been fun
Fun deck, The only issue I have is bad RNG. I never seam to draw my secrets.
That is truly a seceret
This deck is nice.
Secret mage LUL
well the deck is funny and creative for sure but im not sure about the win rate :V maybe i just had a few bad games, i will give it some more try
This deck takes a bit to get used too, also, what rank are you currently at?
F*** this deck needs more up votes... People don't really wanna play against this... They are pushing concede before we even begins :)
I had no Pyroblast so i switched with an [card]Cabalist's Tome[/card]
I would include a spellbender as nobody expects it and it can't be baited with coin. I've also found water elemental to be invaluable vs pirates
Good idea. What card did you remove when you included Spellbender?
I didn't play this exact deck but mine was similar. I don't think I ran drakes as they don't have a ton of spells to buff
It's possible... I just don't know what you would take out, as the only other 3 drop minion is Kirin Tor Mage, which is a very valuable card in conjunction with secrets
You don't have enough small spells to make use of it. You're aiming to kill your opponent by turn 10 at the latest. All of mine have been from 6-11.
Since I've played Mage a lot in the past, playing Rogue now makes me extra sneaky in this MU. I've faced this deck yesterday (I went with N'Zoth Jade Rogue with a small pirate package to counter aggro) and it was an easy win. Thing is, you really need to now what secrets Mage can pop, so you play around them - in one turn I've played Coin and STB, wasted both of my opponent's active secrets.
In general, this is gonna be a decent deck for a while, before Aggro Cancer remission. Also, as soon as people remember Mage secrets again, it might get worse - it's easier to play around Mage secrets, than it is with Hunter ones.
