Hey guys, i'd like to share with you my variant of wild renomage, with that deck i climbed from top 200 to top 4 legend this season.

Mulligans
Always keep vs anything: Mad Scientist
- Vs aggro decks (pirates, token druids, etc.): Frostbolt, Arcane Blast, Mistress of Mixtures, Deathlord, Volcanic Potion, Doomsayer, Reno Jackson, sometimes Kazakus really helps too
- Vs control and midrange decks (reno decks, jade decks, mid shamans): Doomsayer, Kazakus, Frostbolt, Bloodmage Thalnos+Arcane Blast, Piloted Shredder, vs renolock you probably keep Polymorph or Fireball for giant/drake.
Plays
- Vs aggro decks your only point is to be alive until you stabilize on board/hp. Early game must be active, like low manacost creatures, trade with them and early removals. If you have reno in hand and coin sometimes you must keep them both till 5th turn if you faced hyperaggro, or sometimes worth spent coin on something like coin-volcanic on second turn. When you stabilize your board and have enough hp you probably always win.
- Vs control decks you need to have as much value as possible, of course it depends on situation, but more than 50% games vs hard controls like renodecks or control/combo paladins lasts until fatigue, and here will win one who has more value over the game. You probably should play brann+kazakus/courier, arcane blast with drake/thalnos for remove big creatures. Vs renolocks always nice to play doomsayer before his 4th turn to prevent playing drake/giant (and often he can't even tap more because of hand size). Also don't forget about your duplicate, really nice cards to duplicate are kazakus/courier/belcher, sometimes even deathlord to mill opponents deck. And when game lasts long enough you must never play draw cards like AI or even thalnos sometimes.
- Vs midrange decks you must keep tempo as much as you can, on the other side don't lose much value too, it's not important as vs controls, but much more important as vs aggro, cause midrange decks often can comeback. Play doomsayer early to prevent snowballing opponent's tempo, from kazakus you often should pick AoE and resurrect/demon.
Tips
- Never forget about Firelands Portal because it can summon Naga Sea Witch, so if you want to play portal AND another card, always play portal AFTER.
- Also don't forget about Beneath the ground, RENO and KAZAKUS will don't work as long as 2 or more spiders are in you deck.
- In rarely situations you must survive just one more turn, but you didn't know how? you can play and kill mas scientist on that turn to bring Ice Block into play (or sometimes Duplicate :))
- Kazakus spells' effects always resolves in your favor, like if you create spell with resurrect and AoE, AoE always resolves first and resurrect after.

Changes:
1. -Dirty Rat +Manic Soulcaster
So i tested Manic Soulcaster instead of Dirty Rat and it works well. Main reason to include soulcaster is her flexibility. Yeah, vs many decks you can just drop her as 3-drop and it's pretty solid 3/4 body for that cost already. If game lasts long enough you can copy some value creatures, or even with brann you can put 2 copies in you deck. But don't forget: neither Reno nor Kazakus will not work if you brann+soulcaster, cause of 2 copies in your deck.
2. -Mistress of Mixtures -Arcane Intellect +Shimmering Tempest +Babbling Book
This change is only my guess about upcoming Un'Goro expansion. I add tempest here because of his value and n'zoth synergy, that's why i also cut mistress, but if meta will be on the same level or even more aggressive i'll make another update.
-intellect +book just because of grinding playstyle of that deck, thanks to Raketenudo!
3. -Shimmering Tempest -Babbling Book +Zombie Chow +Arcane Intellect
After some playtests w/ Un'Goro i should said that nothing special changes are in meta now, may be only some elemental shamans and quest decks (not even sure that they will be on higher ranks). At this point i cut shimmering tempest and babbling book cause of random and they are too slow for pirate warriors and other aggro decks that are in ladder now. And i added AI again just because we need to draw, without it i really felt uncomfortable. Zombie also added instead of mistress cause of better trades, BUT you can put mistress instead of zombie for sure, if you like her more, in my opinion they are the same for mage, but for example mistress is way better for warlocks.
4. Big update to Rise of Shadows
yeah, that deck don't need cards from un'goro, ofc you can try some if you want, like Shimmering Tempest and other cards that have synergy with deck
I swapped out Stonehill Defender for the Deathlord, still seems plenty viable after JoU. It can be Duped or combo'ed with Brann.
Mage quest in reno deck? Nope, ofc. Only added shimmering tempest, and it's probably good choice cause of deathrattle effect and n'zoth synergy. Other mage cards...don't think so, leastwise in reno

Dropping in my 2 cents for this deck, made it from rank 5 to Legend, made some changes thou.
Mandatory changes due to not having the cards(and im not crafting them) -1 manic soulcaster , -1 Doomsayer
Own changes to best fit the meta in my experience: -1 Emperor Thaurissan (too slow)
Replacements: +1 Babbling book, +1 Frost nova, +1 explosive sheep.
You can use duplicate with babbling book by turn 3-4 and still get a lot of value out of it, duplicate a exploding sheep against aggro, you got aoe clears for a while til you get board control, can't count how many times frost nova saved my ass from opponents lethal just the right turn to clear the board or reno myself.
I rarely win the value game against slow decks. And at my current rank there are a lot of slow decks.
People play around duplicate too well and it's rare to get value out of it.
I too often end up with a hand full of answers and nothing to play, meanwhile renolock cycle for free and beat me everytime.
Jade deck are really annoying too, no such thing as a twisting nether or lightbomb in the mage arsenal to deal with huge boards, the only thing that can save you is kazakus 10 mana potion, but it's not reliable enough... and other reno decks have that too.
But mage HP is great against aggro.
Very polarized deck, probably the best counter for aggro, but weak against everything else.
I should disagree with your statement :) Mage good against aggro, right, and against OTK decks too, at high legend there was some OTK shamans and even some freeze mages. But i don't think that mage is bad vs renolock or renopriest, i played A LOT vs reno matchups and i must say that winrate vs them equal or even higher 50%. Just do things right and it will pay off. GL!
But vs jade, especially jade druid it's a hell, you're terribly right :) But even vs them you have a chance to win, sometimes you should push as hard as you can early and after you can rely on a burn plan
I scored a 14-5 till now (rank 10) but Jade druid is a negative match,i agree.
I play a lot of arena so I like playing the value game, but this is one of my preferred decks for Wild because of the ridiculous value I can crank out of these cards. So many of these cards will either replace themselves in your hand, create new cards, or resurrect minions, maybe you just need to trade differently? Be more thoughtful about what minions to play when you have Duplicate up? Maybe pay less attention to the opponent's life total and instead focus on making sure your opponent has to expend at least 1 card for every card you play. Once you've got more cards than your opponent, the life total will not matter.
Interesting thoughts about book, i'll probably try it! But Duplicate... It's sooo powerful in many matchups, from pirate warrior to any control matchups.
Is Dr. Boom that good? I´ve played some N´Zoth Renolock this season, and most people tend to state that the Boom Bots are bad revives from the N'zoth play.
It is a legendary I do not own and I don´t think I will craft right now, with a new expansion comming and Finja still missing (wich seems more relevant/central in a growing number of decks).
I´ve seen a guy suggesting Medivh, the Guardian, and I might try that. Any other suggestions of cards, from people playing this deck? I think a Loathweb might be good against other spell-heavy decks, including Kazakus Potions when you are ahead on board and maybe Cairn Bloodhoof can help on midrange battles as well as come back after N´Zoth.
Cairne will be really greedy, but ofc you can try it if you want. Boom - is most powerful 7-drop in game, that's why i include him into list. Yeah, N'Zoth will resurrect boombots too, that's may be the only bad thing about him. But if you imagine how much tempo he gives...
I will try it tonight around rank 5 and let you know how it goes, just go a 5 mage win quest.
I can see how Cairne is greedy, but if you think about it, it can get to the board 2 turns earlier, and makes your N'Zoth board more resilient to AoE, which the bots don´t. I think for someone with both cards, the choice comes down to what makes more difference, the strong turn 7 play on HS or a 4/5 board earlier and a strong card reviving from N´Zoth latter.

What purpose does Emperor have in this deck?
The decks seems really solid aside from that card.
He has only one purpose, right? To downcost your hand. And he works really well.
Didn't have Boom so,-Dr. boom +Medivh and you got another powerful late game card. I always prefer medivh over something like antonidas too
medivh is not as good as dr. 7 i think, for standart lists he is great, but in wild don't think he is good enough. Strongly recommend to craft boom :) Antonidas is good, but for him we need to slightly change our list.
