UPDATE: Today on stream, I had an incredible winrate with the deck at legend. Starting at rank 1500 I climb almost back up to 200. Beginning the stream by going 7-0. Here is the link to the VOD if you would like to watch any of it. : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/117709072 (You may have to copy and past the link into your browser, I can't always get links to work properly on here).
I'll be honest, I'm releasing this deck guide almost a whole week later than I originally wanted to. For a variety of reasons I've been held back, but the video is finished and here is my deck guide.
I'll do the usual stuff, if you want stats like the guide, leave a friendly comment and assuming it gets attention I'll expand even further, mulligans; alternate versions etc etc
otherwise, this has taken a damn long time, I hope it's worth it- please enjoy my video guide for the deck.
First part of the video explains why wicked witchdoctor, then I go through card choices- explaining my reasoning for them. Finally I talk strategy while showing some gameplay I recorded at legend.
Comments/ likes on both hearthpwn and YouTube are GREATLY appreciated. I'd love to spend more time on deck guides like this, so so if you like it, let me know, and if there's anything you don't like about it- let me know!
NB: Shaman is a broken class right now. It is able to flourish as Aggro, midrange, control AND combo. Blizzard, please fix.
If you'd like to watch me play this deck live, come and check out my stream: http://Twitch.tv/falconepunch55
I'm playing the deck a lot right now on stream, and if you ever tune in and I'm not playing it but you want to see, just ask in chat :)
Also follow me on twitter for more decklists, content like this and general hearthstone fun. I'm a Hearthstone caster, so I keep up to date with the scene. Http://Twitter.com/falconepunch55
Lastly thanks for taking the time to read, and I really hope you found the video interesting. One final plea, I know how easy it is to look at guides and videos like this and click off without pressing the like button, but I can't stress enough how much they help. I want to make more stuff like this, but it's incredibly time consuming, and likes/ comments just go to prove it was time well spent!
1 hex is your meta choice?
how much is it burgly good? to prefer instead of azure drake.
i'm glad to see again witch shaman. good work! ;)
Replacement for Thalnos?
Kobold
Street Trickster
6 Games until now. 6 Wins (2 Constructed and 4 Ranked at rank 11). At first I was sceptical when I heard about this deck, but i'm a huge fan now. I'll keep playing this deck and i'll keep you posted!
Thanks for this deck and have a nice day!
I love it! Good to see the Wicked Witchdoctor and Burgly Bully see play in a Shaman deck! I have played these type of decks in the past, and the biggest issue I came across when I played the decks, were having too many dead cards in hand (too many spells).
I'm going to give this deck a try, and see how it goes on the ladder tonight :)
I think that Ragnaros the Firelord could fit in this deck : maybe removing a Bloodlust?
Can you explain your replacement? With 8 Mana Ragnaros the Firelord is way to late imo. Most of the matches end before i have the chance to play an 8 mana card.
Is the second Bloodlust there for consistency (being able to draw it most of the time) or do you normally use both in the same match?
What I mean is, am I ok running just one or will that lead to failing to push lethal damage in time?
I find it useful against reno decks that don't expect the double bloodlust
Post-Karazhan I was running a similar deck and similar to Anyfin combo, often the first Bloodlust is used to clear and the second is used for lethal.
thx
Another Azure Drake
Great guide, very insightful. Thank you.
Oh my lord this deck is sick. Ive only played 5 games and havent lost yet. Will keep you updated on how i do as i move up ranks
I have some experience with shaman which helps play this deck but i went from rank 19 to rank 15, with 0 loses before calling it for the night. playing more today
lost once to a control priest and thats about it
Nice deck, could I ask why you dont include the totemcarver that gains +1/+1 for each totem? Not enough room?
Hey Falcone! Nice stuff as always, I like it that you used a video to explain us how the deck works,
also liked watching the video a lot, good voice and everything seems clear. Keep it up!
