Proof of Legend Here
Aggro Shaman is with out a doubt one of the strongest decks in the game but many people play it wrong. I think I can offer what I have learned from my climb to #1 and of course do a little bragging :).
Many people see a 1 drop and keep it because it's cheap. But it's important to mulligan for specific one drops that are good in your match-up and don't forget that other cards like totem golem, jade claws, and flame wreathed faceless are easily game winning and should be kept in some match-ups.
Southsea Deckhand is a one drop that does summon Patches the Pirate so you would think it would be great, but If you summon it on turn 1 against another pirate deck then all they have to do is play a pirate and trade in their Patches the Pirate and you're left with a mere 1/1 on the board and your opponent has the tempo.
Southsea can be kept in combination with Spirit Claws and Jade Claws to take advantage of the charge and it can be kept against reno decks if you have Flametongue Totem for the purpose of countering Doomsayer.. If you play Southsea Deckhand on turn 1 and then they play Doomsayer, Flametongue Totem enables you to kill it.
A 4 mana 7/7 turns out is pretty good. Especially against the classes that hae a hard time dealing with it. Renolock has only Blastcrystal Potion, druid has only Mulch and the occassional Naturalize, renopriest only has Shadow Word: Death, renomage has only Polymorph.
However doing nothing until turn 4 is not going to be good enough to win most games so it's important to realize when the perfect dream curve isn't going to work out and you need to try for 1 drops.
It's also important to realize that this card can completely lose you the game in some matchups. for example versus rogue they can play a minion and Preparation Sap and now they have the board and you're overloaded for 2 mana.
I'll go more in depth If the deck gets enough attention :)
Please elaborate my friend.
What do you replace for your wild list ?
Ok ^^ thx!
Play a midrange shaman
very very tough. You're not alone I have a difficult time with reno mages myself. The important thing is that you make sure you're playing minions with good health totals such as totem golem and flamewreathed faceless so that their many many removals are less effective. other than that keep rushing them down and hope they don't have reno. Mage is the worst matchup.
I play Bloodlust in my deck, so i dropped Sir Finley Mrrgglton. I also play Aya and a second Portal.. i dont understand the love for Drakes.
Is there a replacement for Bloodmage Thalnos?
What about patches?
remove pirate package for patches, if you don't have Bloodmage Thalnos, don't play shaman.
Another standart shaman...
Lul, much hate in comments. Don't hate the player, hate Ben. Good deck mate, thanks! Give 'em guide already =D
You have got the attention, more please!
Seriously though great write-up I think I have been playing Aggro Shaman wrong as you suggest. I'd love to read more!
People will complain about losing with this deck but are the people who use their minions to trade. Lul
those are the ones who are too smart to be playing brainless face decks.
Deck is also massively relient on +spell damage totems. Completely a toss up.
Bloodmage Thalnos
Azure Drake

Update. I feel like I am playing this deck to it's maximum potential. Currently Stuck at Rank 12. Honestly not impressed so far. Finley seems absolutely useless unless I get lucky and can get warlocks hero power. This deck struggles tough against Dragon Priest, and against ANY deck with reno. I win less then half of my Reno games, and overall am barely under .500 at rank 12. Ragnaros late game slaughters this deck as does any very early taunt. Most dragon combos shut it down hard too. I'm regretful I spent my entire library on this deck. I'm sure there's room for improvement, but if you don't seem to land an early game claw + spell damage you are pretty much stuck. Could you please IN DEPTH talk about the mulligans and what is absolutely the best scenarios possible. At this point I'm calling complete bullshit on you hitting Legend 1 with it.
Well I can tell you some problems immediately of what you are doing wrong. Finley is awesome against almost any deck. Best 3 powers it can hit are hunter, warlock, and mage. If you dont get those, rogue is another good one too since it enables STB. Ragnaros shouldnt be a problem since this is a face deck. If they play ragnaros, you shouldnt be trading into it, you should be racing it. Dragon Priest is likely an auto lose due to early taunts and lifegain, only hope is flametongue or faceless if they dont have the proper removal. Against Reno its actually a pretty fair match, even if they have reno, (a 1-30 chance) you can still beat them down past it as well. This deck has a surprising amount of longevity to it, another reason why its the best deck statistically. Just because you dont know how to play a deck you just picked up online and cant win doesnt mean the deck sucks, it just means you do.
I wouldn't say Dragon Priest is auto lose... It all depends on how both people curve out... If Dragon priest curves out perfectly they will usually win unless you can curve out perfectly too than it can be fairly even... I have probably about a 50%+ winrate against Priest with this deck... Dragon and Dragon Reno... In my experience Midrange Shaman is one of the most annoying matchups for this deck...
Brainless aggro deck that you can literally put into Hearthbuddy and get legend while you do other things.
