Hi guys, i've been playing Heartstone since GvG was released. I've always been a card hoarder, and i love collecting card backs. Some time ago i had trouble with the 2nd boss in the Blackrock Mountain Heroic adventure. I tried alot of different decks for High Justice Grimstone, but all of them were just to risky. But then i discovered this strategy, that will give you a 100% winrate if you do it right, and if you have good RNG. Also... oddly enough, the boss doesn't know how to combo Frostnova with Icelance :)
The boss uses Lorewalker Cho, which is one of the mayor key elements to succed here. Make him have 7 adds out on the board. Stall the game as much as possible untill you have a frostnova and a small add in hand, pref Mana wyrm. He must also have Cho out. Then just use Frostnova every round. For best results combo Frostnova on board, with icelance face, and a banana on one of ur own minions. the one from King Mukla. Do this untill fatigue, and always have 7 minions on his side. So he can't Deathwing late game. After reading all this, you might be thinking, what if i die from fatigue? Well that's where Violet Illusionist comes in. If you do it right, the fight will take about 30 to 35 minutes. It's a long shortcut i know, but if you really have a problem with this boss, then try this strategy and see if it works out as good for you as it did for me. Mulligan early for Nova, and freeze spells. If his Cho ain't out after round 6-7 then you're probably fucked. Just reset and try again.
Nice deck! First try, ty!) It seems like RNG helped me, so I won without fatigue. Muligan Frost nova. On the turn 4 I played Water elemental. On the turn 5 I played Frost nova while Cho is on board. Job done! I didn't kill his minions at all, just ping to the face.
Small tip: always check how much free slots he has. In my case he always has 7 cards in hand and he got additional 3 cards each time from Cho (Frost nova, Banana x2). This will help you to not overdraw your cards because you always have Frost nova and can use other cards like Fireball, Frostball, Forgotten torch in cases when boss didn't have free slots in hand to got this cards from Cho. And be carefull and play first card Frost nova, so Cho can back it to you.
