Hello it's my first deck here, i've reached rank 5 with this deck, without any problems.
All new shaman decks are based on jade golems or evolve, but i remember the midrange shaman before the Gadgetzan expansion and it was pretty strong, and it still is. General change is Jinyou Waterspeaker, which gives u a strong heal - very helpful against aggro-cancer decks.
For +20 likes i will do a guide for this deck (mulligan, strategy)
It isn't my own deck i was watching a lot of pro players who played with similar or same decks!
Ok deck has reached +20 likes so here is mulligan:
In every match-up you need to keep Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, Spirit Claws also in specific match-ups you can keep Feral Spirit or Lightning Bolt (very useful against other shaman decks to destroy fast their trogg)
This early combo Trogg -> Totem Golem gives you a strong early game, only Dragon Priest with his Twilight Whelp and Wyrmrest Agent can contend with you.
General strategy with this deck is to get early board control with cards like Totem Golem, Feral Spirit, Barnes and Thing from Below. Another key is to prepare combo with your Bloodlust. Try to keep Bloodmage Thalnos for boosting your spell damage card, it's very important to throw good Maelstrom Portal or Lightning Storm. Also Lightning Bolt with 4 damage can easily kill Azure Drake, Tomb Pillager or Blackwing Corruptor
Specific Matchups:
Renolock, Renomage - You need to win as fast as possible so good mulligan is very important, renolock has a lot of removals so you need a little bit of luck as well.
Dragon Priest - The worst match-up, it's very hard to battle with his taunts and of course Dragonfire Potion one of the most op cards from gadgetzan expansion, which can clear your board easily.
Miracle Rogue - Easy Match-up you need to always kill his Gadgetzan Auctioneer, be careful about his combo with Cold Blood, you can keep Lightning Storm to clear his stealth minions. Use Hex on his Tomb Pillager.
Jade Druid - Easy Match-up too, this deck has the strongest late game but very weak early game, so gain board control asap and dont trade too much with late golems, always kill his Azure Drake cause combo with Swipe is very good. Prepare a lot of minions for Bloodlust combo.
Pirate Warrior - Again easy match-up, keep your Feral Spirit and Maelstrom Portal to clear fast his board,Jinyu Waterspeaker is a key card in this match-up.
Replacements:
Al'Akir the Windlord - Ragnaros the Firelord or Leeroy Jenkins for finishing
Bloodmage Thalnos - Kobold Geomancer
Barnes - Hard for replace because of very special effect, buy Karazhan :D
If you are not afraid of aggro-cancer you can replace your Jinyu Waterspeaker for White Eyes(for better late game) or Ragnaros the Firelord or anotherBloodlust
(Sorry for my english :D)
pretty standard deck

Thanks for the deck. Worked my way up to rank 16 a half dozen times. Then deck would go cold and I dropped back down to 20.
Kept workiing the deck and just made it to rank 15 only one star to go for 14.
In all honesty, I think Jade variations on midrange shaman are better. Had much better luck fighting against pre-MSoG midrange shaman, than the Jade one.
Drop both Mana Tide Totem, both Jinyu Waterspeaker, one Flametongue Totem, and add Jade Claws, Jade Lightning and Aya Blackpaw.
Also, try to manage overload and work on your mulligans. I've mashed my way with Pirate Dragon Warr up to rank 8, dropped to 10, then back to 9, switched to a Jade Mid-Shaman and I'm currently on a win-streak (have beaten Jade Rogue, Shaman mirror and Pirate Warrior).
EDIT - oh, and also consider dropping Thunder Bluff Valiant. Why? If you run Bloodlust, Thunder Bluff Valiant might be a bit overkill. Choose what to swap it with (I use Rag).
Thanks for the suggestions.
Overload can be a problem gainst a number of the decks in the first couple turns. With a little luck on starting draw and mulligan deck holds its own. The problem i run into is getting the last point or two. I can trade cards but just cant get the last couple of points. They are able to chip away or play Reno and out last me. I figure working on trading card choices should help.
thanks again for the info and will give it a try
Hmmmm, I kinda hate Shaman decks, but got forced to play one (absolute shaman infestetion at rank 8-9 in ester EU atm). Sometimes trading isn't the best way to go :P these decks are kinda brainless, so face is the place. Use spells for removal and only trade, if they can have a lethal (always remember, that under 18 hp you are in lethal range vs most of the popular Tier 1 decks).
just for fun i removed al'akir and jinyu for ysera and chromaggus
had some crazy and funny games
Look like fun inclusions. How did you do?
Replace for [card]Spirit Claws [/card]?
Why not Rockbiter Weapon on Al'Akir the Windlord For that sweet dmg
[Nvm, Rockbiter + Al'Akir is 11 mana]
True, i feel you shouldn't swap it out for the Flametongue Totem
Personally i would get rid of the Mana Tide Totem and add another Feral Spirit / Lava Burst maybe.
Just started to play this season, was running the classic Face shaman, but a lot of reno's out there and dragon priests.. so i just saw this deck, started from rank 19 in 5 hours im rank 10, and i think i can go all the way to 5 with this deck, the only real opponent would be the dragon priest ! Thumbs UP !
I would only recommend using him if you've unpacked him at random. Definitely not worth crafting at the moment. Just acts as a weaker, though slightly more versatile Leeroy Jenkins.
seconded, craft leeroy first, i opened Ally K and didn't dust because he was in basic...my but still hurts from having to recraft my Questings for Rogue
I crafted him but then they nerfed rockbiter weapon :(
I think is a good option to prove when you are sick of aggro shaman and i liked
(this video is in spanish) the matches of this video are:
mid range hunter
pirate warrior
evolve shaman
Bloodlust is definitely a win condition in this deck. I've played 7 matches so far; 5 wins and 2 losses and 4 of the wins came from a burst Bloodlust. This is also at the beginning of a new season where you get a variety of skill levels at level 18 - 16.
Both losses were to a Dragon Priest. Be careful not to over commit as that Dragonfire Potion is devastating. The early taunts can be dealt with well if you have a decent opening hand but overall its a tough matchup for sure.
Any replacement for [card]Tunnel Trogg[/card] ??
Identical to Demigod's MidShaman that has been on Vs reports for almost 2 weeks
Argent squire .. :)
Playing vs beast master @ rank 18 isn't exactly a challenge..
