Welcome to the Redemption Pally!

Do you like tough matches and want to kick some meta ass? Play on! This deck works pretty good vs the current meta, but most importantly is fun to play with! I hit rank 5 pretty easy this season. And it is my highest rank yet, sooo, thank you Gadzetan :)

History

This deck started way back in the days of... beta, with the idea to make redemption work. It didn't work that smooth to be honest, but that was because there was some crazy meta going on. The last two years this deck is the only deck I play in one form or the other. It was pretty tough at start, but since N'zoth came along, the deathrattle value has increased immensely. And with the Forbidden Healing and the Lightlord a way back to the light opened up. With the newest expansion we finally have a worthy 3 drop: Mr. Burnbristle. Also de bruiser is a nice taunt and 5-drop. And with Don Han'Cho we have some funky 7-drop that can give you much value.

So here we are, at the high time of this deck, ready to take over.

The basis

Redemption is the core of this deck. Divine shield, taunt and deathrattle are the dream to combo with redemption. Tirion, infested taurens and sunwalkers hold the line

How to play in a nutshell

With many taunts and redemption value, life is a resource you have to abuse till you can stabilize. At the start, turn 1 redemption, turn 2 Loot Hoarder is a classic move to get some easy value.

You have some nasty clear at your disposal with equality, consecration and pyromancer.

Aldor peacekeeper to make that 7/7 4-drop into a overloaded sucker.

Truesilvers for sniping totem golems, frothing beserkers. Or go face to heal up and get some pressure going

Infested Taurens can grow into a menace. They slice of health of bigger minions for that easy consecration. And when not dealt with, stack your board protected by taunts

Bad match ups:

Double Entomb priest can be a nightmare. They suck you dry untill you have nothing left.

Rogue I have some trouble with too. They seem to get this pressure going and a righly timed sap can leave you open for that finishing blow.

Some control decks outvalue u on the long run, but I dont see them around any more. And even then, This deck goes the wire.

How to play aggro warriors/shamans/ etc

It is vital to try and keep some part of the removal mechanic in your hand. Cheap taunts do well. Remember that going low on health is the way to go. Then you taunt up, heal up and well, an empty handed warrior cant do really much, but to concede

Tech choices/ mix it up

I think there is room for some alternate ways to fill in this deck. Like Don Han'CHo, or some other 5-drop. The ooze can be switched i guess. Also I play this deck with Holy Wrath lately, to bring in some more fun, and it works well to remove 4- health minions... mostly

The Dirty rat is still under review. It can be very powerfull, but lately it gave my opponent more power so I put in the Misstress of Mixtures recently.

Just whatever you do, don't touch the redemptions!

Conclusion

If you like playing Paladin and want to face the current meta, I recommend you this deck. It's fun, it's tough, it's out of the meta and when you N'zoth 3 Tirions, you'll know what i mean :)

If you have any suggestions or ideas or comments, I would appreciate it greatly since this is my first post too :)

Put your faith in the light. Truth is your shield and justice shall prevail. Light em up! For justice!
