DJINNI DIVINE BUFFS

Djinni

Hi everybody! It's Guto here :)

I'm a veteran player HS player (since beta), and I was trying something diferente on meta and I improved my ANTI-META deck DIVINE BUFF PALADIN with DJINNIS. Even if this deck can't get enough power to be a SUPER laddering deck I guarantee that its a cool one (rank 16-5 in december-16).

Sorry for the english I will improve soon as possbile.

HISTORY

Once a good friend of mine get a really impressive LEGEND (83% winrate) with a divine shield paladins, and OH MAN it was a very agressive, goes most of the time in the face and I was trying to learn play with agro decks (I Always prefer midrange or control). Since that I get improve my paladins abilities playing with murlocs and n’zoth decks, so finally I fell confortable to make a new divine shield paladino but using buffs to get some valor. NOW I just need 40 wins to get my Golden PALADIN =D

THE PLAN OF THE GAME

Put pressure on the board at the first turn, the agressor must be YOU ever (well how coud this be possible with the pirates around every corner ?!). But Jokes aside, you need to put pressure and make favorable trades ever its possible, you don’t have AOE so use you divine shield wisely and your buffs must be use with equal importance (some are the key for a the winning). It’s a agreesive deck but it’s NOT A FACE DECK, (even with Leeeeeeroy) and you need take control of the board and only after that you take some damage of oponent. Don’t be greedy to put a lof of buffs in just one minion, it will be a lightning rod =(

AND DON’T FORGET your main advantage is that your oponente does know what’s playing against.djinnis power

CARD CHOICES AND EXPLANATION (some replacements and mulligans)

PALADINS

  • Blessing of Might: A good buff card, use preferably with card like Dragon Egg, Eydis Darkbane or some shielded minions to remove a threat, of corse use without moderation to finish the game comboing with djinnis of Zephyrs,Leeroy Jenkins  or Wickerflame Burnbristle to save you life =D.
  • Leeroy Jenkins  or Wickerflame Burnbristle to save you life =D.
  • Blessing of Wisdom: This card it’s hard to make work out some kinds of decks. But in divine shield draw potential can be very awesome and you can do a very good combos with it, Eydis Darkbane and other minions to pass to Djinni of Zephyrs are a GREAT choices. Keep in your hand if not against a agro deck, ONLY if you got Argent Squire too (coin).
  • Divine Strength: Our first buff card, its very good to combo with divine shield minions and most of the time with Dragon Egg. It’s very importante for the inicials turns, but keep this in your hand only if you get others 1-cost minions too.
  • Selfless Hero: I’ts becoming a questionable choice. Even with the very good benefit of give a divine shield, with the torrential rain of pirates, she become a fragile turn one minion even for classes without ping (THOSE piratess). If you have some ideas for replace, please send a message =D.
  • Argent Protector: One time I was using Flame Jugglers, but divine Shields in this deck its a very very good thing and they are the key to beat the slow decks, and once your minions gets a shield he can receive some buffs and make some trades with safety.
  • Divine Favor: Besides the usual draw, even with the help of Blessing of Wisdom (which make you draw 2 mostly) this card can help you to refil your hand, there’s no need much explanation except to inform you this card its a good muligan if you have a drop 1 or 2 against Renolocks.
  • Rallying Blade: Very very good weapon, use with wisely to buff your minions in the right time and save for trades not to go in the face, except if have another in the hand or the weapon from Tirion Fordring, or to give the final blow. Turn 6 can be good with Wickerflame Burnbristle
  • Wickerflame Burnbristle: THIS is the piratewarrior bogeyman. I can say if I get him, in the game against a pirate warrior, its a 90% win rate guaranteed. But you need to use him wisely and preferably with a board under your control. Combo with Blessing of Might, Divine Strength and othe buffs to make a healing wall =D. Against pirate rogues can force they to use Sap. So take care to not use buffs (more safe if they already use one in the match).
  • Blessing of Kings: Your BIG BUFF, very good to enhace you Draggon egg keeping they out of the range of Priest Spells. But like other buff caution to use this in a minion with some other buff. INCREDIBLE POWERFULL with a Djinni of Zephyrs in the board.
  • Keeper of Uldaman: A very good card to help you to reduce the power of a minions that is threatening you (even better if are equiped with the Rallying Blade). They are incredible good to buff Dragon Egg or some others shielded minions. Keep her if you have coin and Dragon Egg and another cost 2 minion (almost perfect hand =p)
  • Silvermoon Portal: A underrated card. Once I used 2 and maybe in the future it comes back. Man I like this card so much and with Djinnis of Zephyrs its really awesome. Let see a short analisys of mine: In the current meta there’s 75 2-cost minions, that mean you have a 1,3% of get a specif one. 1 minion will ruin your game forever and ever (kidding =p) Doomsayer!!!! 10,7% to get a minion that will not help you too much with 1/1 stats or some with potential to complicate you match. 28% minion with 2/1 stat and some with 1/1 but with good effects for you and look at this 60% with GOOD minions with 2/3 or 3/2 stats or with a very good effect. Dont forget Golem Totem and Dire Rat =D.
  • Tirion Fordring: Well well this card dispense comments.

NEUTRALS

  • Argent Squire: A solid drop-1 card, and shielded lol. She Always ready to get your early buff card, very good with divine strenght, Blessing of Wisdom and other buffs.
  • Dragon Egg: Ohh my, I really need to thanks this card. I can say this because it's one of core cards of the deck. Works very good with buff and its a very resilient minion against those tier one warlocks. KEEP in the hand aways and don’t be afraid to put divine shiel from Argent Protector if you don’t have choice (you will buff him mostly).
  • Acidic Swamp Ooze: For this weapon based meta. It’s a good card for muligan (of corse against a weapon class hero).
  • Flame Juggler: A good card to help control the warly aggression of pirates, has a good hp. This slot it’s not completely infelxible.
  • Eydis Darkbane: I though in this card because I need a 3-drop minion in the curve, we already have the Wickerflame Burnbristle and she complete the slot very well, many opponents see her with a threat to be deal, soo many of them spend removals. If she stays on the board you can take a very good valor. But beeing a legenday, can be replaced by another Flame Juggler or othe creative cards as some buddies have suggested.
  • Djinni of Zephyrs: It’s my favorite card of the deck, and first before anyone ask me why i have just one... because this very agressive meta. This card is responsible for epic moments and epic finishes like the one in the image (BURSTING a 39 damage in the face oO lol =D ;). If you really want place him, put over the Ragnaros the Firelord.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: A finisher, sometimes you will dont have enough power to lethal (reno decks at mostly), and its a very good card to combo if you opponent leaves the djinni of the zephyrs in the board.
  • Ragnaros the Firelord: Maybe a misunderstood card in this deck, but some times it’s hard to give a comeback for the control decks, and rag fit very well for this purpose. It can be replaced for another Djinni of Zephyrs or something to help against those pirates =(. If anyone has some ideas, this is a flexible slot.

Maybe I will write a more refined mulligan guide, (vídeos will come soon) and some possible replacements and possible cards to improve the list.

Feed backs are welcomed =D thanx for all support and keep help to improve the deck.

Some winrates:

  1. RenoLock: 70% (they have some trouble to clear the board with divine shield).
  2. Mages (all): 70% (like renolock).
  3. Dragon Priest: 65% (4 attack Djinnis ever its COOL).
  4. Jade Druid: 55%. (the burst damage and the board are very tough for druids).
  5. Pirate Warrior: 60%. ( When the new legendary comes its a GG)
  6. Pirate Rogue: 45%. (im need to learn some moves of pirates rogues)
  7. Pirate Shaman: 40% (yesss I need to improve my skill against this damm pesk).
  8. Jade Shaman: 55%. (divine shield = lot of pressure :p).
