So here it is, my somewhat tested Highlander Dragon Priest. I originally had tried using Pint-Size Potion and Shadow Word: Horror, but combos like that simply are too hard to pull off in a deck without duplicates.

I also cut Harrison Jones, as I was coming across nothing but Druid. The version you are seeing here, however, has only faced Hunter and Paladin. But since it did fine against them, I don't think you need him.

So how about I go over some of the choices I made for this deck.

Mana Geode - Decried as great, then rejudged as rarely useful, it does have a place in this deck. Yes, you probably won't get the effect off. But the threat alone does force the enemy to adjust their play. Like not hitting your face. A replacement can be Doomsayer, though later in the game that one might be useless as you will often find yourself with a presence on the board.

Kabal Courier - An understatted body, and how good is getting Mage or Warlock cards anyway? Pretty good, as it turns out. And in a singleton deck like this, even the access to Priest cards can be a great help. Didn't get that second Drakonid Operative from Netherspite Historian? The Courier gives you a second shot at it.

Kabal Chemist - Not all the potions are great, but just about all of them can be useful. Yes, you don't have a demon, but you do have several minions with low attack and high health, making that Bloodfury Potion just the thing for some unexpected burst.

EDIT: In my original write up, I'd forgotten that Kazakus' potion will quite often give you demons. Either in hand or on the board. And Blastcrystal Potion gives you unconditional removal, something Priest really needs. So yes, play the chemist. You won't regret it.

Kazakus - Don't have to explain the why, but I do caution against going for the 10-mana potion. Often times, the 5-mana potion is more useful as you can play it earlier and in combination with other stuff.

Priest of the Feast - There's not a lot of low cost spells in this deck, but the feasting priest is a solid body on 4 and you have several cards that can get you more spells. Even the chemist's freezing potion has a use with this card.

Excavated Evil - As I said above, originally I had hoped to do away with this AOE and rely solely on Kazakus' potion, Dragonfire Potion, andShadow Word: Horror. Turns out, you need something that is just good on its own. Excavated Evil is it.

Kabal Songstealer - It is silence tied to a 5/5 body, perfect for when your opponent plays Savannah Highmane or Sylvanas Windrunner. He's not flashy, but people go quiet when he comes onto the board!

Drakonid Operative - Not here to defend the guy, just want to state that he is nuts. It tells you what your opponent is playing, what he doesn't have in his hand yet, and then gives you a copy of whatever card helps you the most.

The Curator - It's a taunt, he draws a card. Card draw isn't really a problem in this deck, because a lot of the cards effectively replace themselves. If you want to put another card into the deck, I recommend by starting to cut Curator. Me, I'm going to replace him with Nexus-Champion Saraad and see how that goes.

EDIT: Played a couple of games, played quite a few games with him now and Nexus-Champion is a very good replacement. You don't need the bigger body or the taunt, and those random spells often give you a bit of reach that Priest usually lacks. And drawing for zero mana is just great.

Reno Jackson - He isn't in the deck, this isn't a Reno deck! You are right, that's why I filed it under the Dragon Priest archetype. Priest just doesn't need the healing Reno Jackson provides, unless you go Shadow Priest. Between Raza the Chained, Priest of the Feast, and Justicar Trueheart, you have your healing covered and there's always that healing potion that Kabal Chemist provides.

Mulligan: Get your early game. Things might change later, but right now everything is pretty aggressive. Even Jade Druid plays Living Roots. Don't keep a dragon just to be sure you can activate your early synergy cards like Wyrmrest Agent. Chances are, you will draw a dragon before then and even at 1/4 the Agent is still fine.

Cards I've considered and that you can or want to put in.

Acidic Swamp Ooze - Very useful against the dreaded Pirate Warrior, but games against them are decided within the first 4 to 6 turns and just Ooze won't win you those games. Still, can switch it in for Mana Geode.

Bran Bronzebeard - Still considering this one. There is a lot of synergy within the deck, but what card to cut. Most would say Kabal Chemist, but I stand by my decision on the card. Just about every potion is useful and all too often she'll win you a game.

Instead, consider cutting either Blackwing Technician, Ysera, or Twilight Drake. Ysera if you face a lot of fast decks or Druids, as this deck is fairly weighted on the high end of the mana curve. This deck has 15 cards that cost 5 or more mana, yes, half the deck.
