Total Deck Rating

This has, by far, been the most fun deck I have ever played in Hearthstone. Its a Midrangy/Aggo deck. You're usually winning by turn 8-10.
With everyone trying out and refining their decks, it seems to be working particularly well.
Mulligan for Argent Squire, Smuggler's Run, and Loot Hoarder
Don't get too greedy with the hand buff cards. A 2/2 Argent Squire is great tempo for 1 mana. No need to wait till it's a 5/5.
This is a come back deck. You can have a strong early game, but if not you can have a really strong mid-game. Dropping 3x 5/5 Doppelgangster on turn 5 is huge, and not that hard to pull off. Get the board stable (you don't need total control of it) and push their hp into Leeroy Jenkins / Argent Horserider + Abusive Sergeant ranges. Nobody expects to go from 20+ hp to 0 in one turn from a paladin.
I've made a few tweaks to the deck.
-2 grimstreet marshals -> + 1 brann bronzbeared + 1 consecration.
-2 loot Hoarders -> +2 novice engineers.
-2 acolytes of pain -> +2 divine favors.
-2 Blessing of Might -> +2 Abusive Sergeant.
The added battlecrys of the engineers and abusives help give more value out out of brann. Plus an extra body to buff over using mights.
More reliable card draw. I kept getting tired of my acolyes getting removed without damage, priests stealing my loot hoarders, and having to play unbuffed marshals. If you don't draw any cards vs a control deck you lose.
These changes seem to make the deck a bit more consistent. Still not too fond of divine favor in the deck, especially 2x. But not sure what else to put there for card draw. Ideally everything will be dying during your opponents turn, so solemn vigil usually won't be discounted and its a horrible top deck.
i tryed Reckless Rocketeer sense its just 1 atk of for lerroy
I tossed in a Small-Time Recruits and I think it really helps with the draw and thinning out the deck.
think it needs more than 4 1-drops.
Oh right, I also included Meanstreet Marshal.
I made a more midrange version of this deck that's been working out pretty well for me as I climb the ladder (hit 11 last night).
- 2 Novice Engineer, -1 Consecration, -1 Defender of Argus, -1 Leeroy Jenkins, -1 Second Rate Bruiser, -2 Abusive Sergeant, -2 Divine Favor, -1 Truesilver Champion, -1 Don Han'Cho (only because I don't have it)
+2 Loot Hoarder, +2 Aldor Peacekeeper, +2 Meansteet Marshall, +2 Argent Protector, +1 Acolyte of Pain, +2 Grimestreet Protector, +1 Ragnaros the Lightlord
The basic idea is board control until you can pull a Grimestreet Protector and then it's generally game over. And buffed up Argent Protectors I have found to be insanely useful. Use them to protect Ragnaros, Brann and Grimestreet Protectors if you can.
And, if you're able, try and combo Brann with buffed Doplegangsters and it's instant win. The reason I say "try" is that I've lost a match or two holding onto Brann too long. So you kind of have to feel out from game to game how best to use him.
You'd be surprised. I've won more than a few matches with an 11-12 health Ragnaros.
Hey, I like your changes. If you had Don Han'Cho, would you use that instead of Ragnaros the Firelord, or what would you replace it with?
That's a really great question. I might pull Ragnaros except that pallies are in a tough spot this meta, like they have been the last couple of metas. I win a lot of really close games and the healing Ragnaros provides is a big reason why. So the question is what's the most expendable card? That may depend on your play style. Because my version of this deck, even though it is midrange, has so many 3 mana and under cards (19 of 30) I might pull the Acolyte of Pain or a Loot Hoarder. I've not really been having much of an issue with card draw. And 18 of 30 3 mana and under cards mean the deck would still be capable of getting off to a relatively quick start.
Ohhh, you were talking about Ragnaros the Lightlord! That makes more sense. I thought you meant Ragnaros the Firelord. I will put the Lightlord in. Also, what are your feelings on adding Sergeant Sally or a Consecration for a little AOE? I have run into some tough spots against Zoo Warlock and Shaman where I needed a board clear.
I was, yes. TOTALLY my fault. I typed the wrong Rag into my description.
As for some AOE ... yes, the deck is lacking that. I've thought about pulling three cards to add two Consecrations and an Eqaulity, but when you have a deck dependent on buffed minions, it's hard to take minions out for more spells.
lolz... I used Brann Bronzebeard + Doppelgangster to put five 6/6's on the board. Warlock then dropped Reno and said "well played". I tossed down Leatherclad Hogleader (my replacement for Leeroy Jenkins) just for fun to have 38 face damage on the board. That was after he already played his Twisting Nether, just to survive my first wave of gangsta's.
Fun deck.
At first I really like playing this deck. A lot of fun. Which rank have you reached with this deck? I'm struggling with it at rank 13 right now.
Unfortunately it really struggles with the huge wave of pirate warriors. Its probably the only deck that it doesn't have at least 50% or better to beat, (that I've ran into) and that deck is 1/4 my games at rank 10 (my current max with the deck)
I rarely lose to any control deck, including jade druid. Even priests have been fairly easy if they don't get the perfect draw (which is saying something as paladin usually auto loses to priest). It helps when they have to entomb a 7/7 1 mana argent squire instead of my Tirion.
If someone has some better tech choices to help the dragon warrior matchup, that would be great. Unfortunately, even if you put the right cards in your deck, you only got a 50/50 shot of drawing them before you die turn 5.
You die to dragon warriors turn 5? Damn... never saw any faster kills with this deck.
Brainfart. Meant to say Pirate warrior, now I can't figure out how to edit a post.
- [card]Second-Rate Bruiser [/card] + Sergeant Sally
That could be a good choice. I don't have sergeant sally unfortunately.
Though you also have to be careful, since it doesn't have taunt they can just go face or trade everything into your other minions. Works much better in warlock with PO.
I wish i could play this deck. Seems so much fun! But i'm missing Tirion, Wickerflame and Don Han'cho sadly.
Haha... This was on my first try with this deck, and I'm sure it will never happen again, but I had Brann down with only two buffed Dopplegangsters and Don Han'Cho in hand (and Divine Favor for instant reload). Good times ensued... Thanks for the deck!
Sorry, I took the photo a hair too late, but you get the idea...
