Pirate Warrior is an aggro deck that uses pirate and weapon cards in order to kill the opponent as fast as possible, before they can initiate their own win condition. One of the most notable wild cards for a pirate deck is Ship's cannon, which can lead to some very powerful swing turns when summoning multiple pirates. It also gains staple warrior weapon Deaths Bite.

Recently some Pirate Warriors have been running Southsea Captain to have more pirate synergy, and to make their board more threatening and harder to deal with. Other players prefer to stick with Mortal Strike for bursting through taunts.

Pirate warrior is a very powerful deck in the current metagame, and is the most popular deck on the Wild ladder. Due to its popularity, many decks tech heavily against it, and Acidic Swamp Ooze and Golakka Crawler sees widespread play. This week's featured decklist is a Southsea Captain version with greater chance to snowball a lead.

Although Un'Goro brought more options to combat Pirate Warrior, the deck remains in the top tier of Wild decks.
