Hobart Grapplehammer is really good
I have to admit that this is probably one of the best decks I have made!
As a F2P player I often don't have the cards to make a lot of the decks posted here. I made this one without Patches at first, and didn't find it to be great. I decided to go all in, dusting some older cards that have rotated out, in order to make Patches. Best move ever.
I am typically happy to make rank 15, currently up to 9 and still climbing.
I feel you! i am the same, i generally push to 10 top! Now i have made it for the first time to 5 and i still have 10 days to push so.. that is that. I run a slight different version, one Ooze instead of one upgrade, Reckless instead of Leeroy and a Bloodhoof instead of Captain. Works well for me.
not top 10 but rank 10 :D
I believe this is the most cancer deck that this game ever seen. Millions of people interacting with the creator's mother and sister everyday even if they are not exist or alive.
I am not sorry about that though.
It is fairly deserved.
got up to rank 13 with this deck witch is good for me as im an average rank 15 player after hovering there for a while i have been dropping ranks like crazy with this deck
I don't agree with any of the statements you made. Apart from maybe Reno turn 6 = loss, but then you should be able to kill them before turn 6 relatively consistently. Apart from that all the situations you describe are still very much winnable games.
I think the misunderstanding comes from people expecting the deck to be easy to play, or even for it to play itself. Don't get me wrong, it's true you can cheese wins playing it like an idiot and no it's certainly not the most difficult deck in the game to play. However playing aggro well takes much more skill than a lot of people seem to think.
The order in which you play out your early game cards is critical, not only to maximise damage but to play around the early game strategy of your opponent (such as the examples you gave). Mulligan is also critical as are decisions whether to trade or go face. Your early game decisions as an aggro player are in fact much harder and carry much more importance than that of your control opponent who probably only has 1 card they can play. Yet you still see bad aggro players shit out their cards in 5 seconds flat, without thinking of the many nuanced decisions that should be considered.
The margin for error can be quite small to win for aggro, many times you can lose because you are missing just 1 damage. Each turn you should be carefully assessing the situation, thinking about potential AOE/taunt/heals from your opponent, counting burn, considering what your topdeck outs might be and whether its right to push face or be conservative. Are you sure you squeezed every last damage out of your cards and played them in exact optimal order? Probably not is my guess.
Wrong @wetguy
I count not agree more with your comment! People have the false impression that aggro is so easy to play and everybody is blaming the people who play it that are mindless apes, but that is not true.
There is a difference of play style while playing a control game (where you usually have more ways to deal with the board, so it hard to take the most effective one) and an aggro game (where, as you said, you need to maximize your mulligan, carefully consider your opening play and the follow up turns as well as considering, from the pool of cards that remained in your deck, to draw a perfect answer), but for sure both take thinking ahead.
Plays like going with Mortal strike instead of Kor'kron can mean the difference between a lose or a win, as both have 4 Mana, and without the activator both do 4 dmg.
I changed Frothing Berserker with Bloodhoof Brave because When you play berserker they can cut it easily if you against warrior they are using Kor'kron Elite or Mortal Strike either druids are playing Swipe etc. but if you summon Bloodhoof Brave you can save your other minions and it do not die easily
how can I replace leeroy in this deck?
I play Captain Greenskin instead, just because I love the card.
Amazing Deck
Its really useful and can safe the game but since he will rotate out in april, Id not recommend getting him.
You should simply put more dmg in. Abusive Seargent for example. Ive even seen Elven Archer. Currently I play a lot of Shaman, so play with an ooze and get Hobart Grapplehammer maybe :)
Pirate deck's are dead now, with everyone playing control. With this deck if you don't have the perfect draw your done. I went from 12 back down to 16 with this deck.
+1 Inner rage
+1 Execute
+1 Hobart
I am playing well, yeah its like a 69% WR but still.... Dont think its dead at all
I like this deck but I don't have Patches. I know it's a main card, but can I substitute it? I don't have dust to craft it :(
No
There are plenty of replacements for patches, because there are plenty un-utilized cards people dont run for this deck. Commanding Shout for one is a card that has much more value than Patches, because for 1 more (technically 2 more) mana you can have a huge tempo swing, kill a taunt, keep your minions, and get a card.
but smorcs are gonna smorc and tell you it's irreplaceable
When this deck works it's pretty amazing. Problem is when it doesn't work it gets really ugly.
