Any tips against shamans? they keep rolling taunt totems and getting feral spirits so early that i cannot connect any damage
How pathetic is this? Playing as warrior and you are playing face decks... Warrior was always been the one "control king" and now with this its ruined because people dont like to play slow decks. This game was originally based on the control gameplay and this should continue, but blizzard always fucks it up. They always add some smorc kind cards... fuck... this game is designed now for nobrain kids who cant understand the simple mechanics. They just face and ruin a great game.
The salt is real
There are only like 3 cards from gadgetzan. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of these cards nerfed soon though, mainly heroic strike. They nerfed rockbiter to 2 mana, they will probably double the mana cost on heroic strike too. Just like another user said. Many of these cards don't rotate out, Blizzard doesn't like it when a deck remains on top for a long time. At most it will see freeze mage status eventually, sometimes viable, at worst it will end up on the molten giant handlock bench.
No one is forcing you to play
Blizzard fucked up? If anyone fucked up it would be the players of the pirate warrior if you think they are so anoying. But blizzard definatly made great control cards, like the jade golem mechanic which is controlish and the reno cards like kazakus. And I honestly think it is good to have some SMOrc on the ladder to make it more interesting. Only playing against aggro is boring, but only playing against control will also be.
YAAAAAAARRR! Walk the plank matey!
The best part of this deck?
Pretty much nothing rotates out.
The worst part of this deck?
The spread of this cancer for the next year.
Either some key component of it gets nerfed a few months from now... Or players will stumble across a deck type that's even more brokenly powerful.
I wouldn't count the second possibility out at all, given how creative this community's been in the past.
Blizzard won't let one deck dominate for too long. If nothing shakes up the meta and knocks pirate warrior from tier 1 when the set rotates out, they will just nerf the basic cards. Honestly, with the way they nerfed face shaman, I wouldn't be surpirsed if it was nerfed before the next rotation.
Nah, i'm already running across a lot of counters to this deck already. It won't be played very much in another month probably.
Yeah you're probably right. Which cards do you think they would nerf if they did? Because in a vacuum I really don't see a huge outlier for OPness besides maybe Patches.
I use argent commander as a replacement for leeroy.
Use Reckless Rocketeer instead +1 dmg .
Believe it or not, jade shaman is favored due to early game removal and early game taunt.
Has anyone tried using Genzo The Shark in here? I've been playing pirate warrior and feel like by turn 5 I'm out of cards, like one proc from Genzo would just be perfect.
I've been running genzo in a lot of decks for science and I'm pretty sure it's just not good enough right now. The few times it drew me cards it was only because I was already winning hard, whenever I was even or behind on board it just gets removed and you just spent 4 mana for a 4/5 with no real benefit to your gameplan.
This deck is pure cancer. I replaced Frothing with Corsair for pirate synergy and tempo. It could use some tweaking to optimize it, but it's already stupid easy to play and basically unbeatable with good draws.
I think its possible to make this deck even more cancerous by taking out Sir Finley and Hobart and adding 2x Southsea Captains in their place.
1: You will basically not use your hero power ever so sir finley seems like a moot point. Hero powering means youve run out of steam which means you lose. Finley also doesnt provide pirate synergy.
2: Hobart's extra attack for weapons is nice but rarely makes or breaks games, plus again no pirate synergy. Not much immediate board presence for a deck that wants to win by turn 5.
3: The southsea captains have the potential to give you 3 or 4 extra damage on turn 3, which very much could win a game. It also puts your fragile little 1 health pirates out of swipe and maelstrom range.
Now all people who were whining about shamans will see what true cancer means.
