I've written an in depth guide about this deck: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/669820-legend-2-discardlock-in-depth-guide
just played a few games with the deck yet but... i love it :D
Well this is an awesome deck to play! it's fun, good on ladder and games are pretty fast. I think its pretty damn good to climb ladder with :D
unless you face an opponent who is incredibly lucky.... ***Cough topdeck ragnaros into face snipe with 5 creatures on boardcough cough***
Here is a deck showcase vid I made for the player I am rooting for! GO Thijs!!!
stop deleting and reposting the same video over and over and over. I know you want to stay on top of the page, you are desperately trying to draw traffic to your own youtube channel with another person's (Thijs) fame.
When it's the best 4 out of 7 with four packs against someone who has a control warrior, Thijs really should have played warlock right off the bat, because this warlock deck has maybe 1% chance of winning against a control warrior, his best chance would be against rogue or hunter or druid, he needs to convert at least 1 of those 3 matchups with warlock in order to win the match. now they are at 3-3 and Thijs has the warlock deck left and handsomeguy has control warrior left, that's a pretty bad spot to be in for an elimination stage game.
Do u guys have any tips on how to deal with Freeze Mages? I am currently on Rank 7 and deck is going extremely fine, but whenever I meet a Freeze Mage I have literally no chance.
Mine - little bit refined - Discard Lock:
Thanks!
I got to rank 5 with this version before I stopped grinding it out. here are my 2 cents: don't run Crazed Alchemist or Sea Giant, those likely won't help you win the freeze mage or the shaman battles you would have lost anyway, so you are better off running a more consistent deck (without cutting corners trying to fit in those tech / one-off cards) and focusing on winning the OTHER match-ups. don't look at your win ratio (my win ratio sucks) or anything like that, just focus on your star / hour.
Apparently some pros (3 out of 6) run Young Priestess and those same three also run Power Overwhelming and only 1 Abusive Sergeant.
the odd cards are highlighted: Demonfire, Forbidden Ritual and Acidic Swamp Ooze
Edit, here is a quick summary I made:
red: all 6 use, Purple: 4 out of 6 use, blue: 3 out of 6.
here are 6 versions of the discard warlock, i would assume that all of these pros have a pretty deep understanding of this deck:

very well comparison. thx
It is amazing how efficient this warlock deck is, a little over 1k dust and people use it in the biggest tournament of the year!
yeah, only to lose horribly and lose people their potential free packs :( Warlock is not efficient in the current meta, any warlock deck is tier 4 with winrate below 50%.
Thijs would be better off playing control warrior, warlock in 2016 is a joke, given there are only 2 favorable matchups for it (hunter and rogue).
The salt is real.
Hard to replace such a phenomenal card, but Imp Master works.
Imp master is not a good replacement as the stats are significantly worse and it has anither effect which makes it easier to remove, however harvest golem is a good replacement.
Why 2 Abusive Sergeant? Its not so usefull, since its 1/1 now.
Of course it's still usefull... Now you don't play those turn one but it's still really good. More than 200 games with the deck and trust me they are usefull.
u are not playing it for the body but for the battlecry effect
it's very useful
You should really think of it as a spell: "Give a minion +2 attack this turn. Summon a 1/1 Sergeant". Not bad for 1 mana in a minion-heavy deck. The 'nerf' only affected the summoned minion, oh well.
VALUE :D !
