Total Deck Rating
4
I've had a 80% winrate from rank 11 to rank 5 with this deck.
The goal of the deck was to get rid of the basic pally weaknesses (bad early game and bad card draw)
and create a deck that has good pressure in every phase of the game. With a good focus on early/mid card draw the deck is VERY consistent. alway.s mulligan for a fast opener and you will almost always have a steady card draw you keep you going. unlike shockiden you wont need to pray for any divine favors
One of the strongest point of this decks is the fact that by turn 3 most opponents assume you are playing pally aggro and start blowing all of their good removals on basic creatures. By time you play rag most decks have already used most of their good removal because they assume the deck has no late game!
I've NEVER lost to shaman best match up by FAR likely for reason stated above!
Ramp druid is only bad match up at 40/60
only played 2 control warriors and have won 2 of 3 but it feels like a coin toss.
Aggro mage games always seem close but you have enough pressure all game to win just make sure you hold on to at least 1 consecrate!
Build it and Go!
Edit: -1 Acolyte of Pain + 1 Lay on Hands
Adds more draw consistency and a little extra healing for late game.
What do you think about removing one Knife Juggler for a Wild Pyromancer to add synergy with equality. It arguably the best board clear in the game.
I was considering swapping a Dire Wolf Alpha for Wild Pyromancer. /but really the only deck this helps vs is Zoo. Im not sold on it yet.
The Wild Pyromancer + Equality combo isnt just good against Zoo. It kills everything on the board. It works great against Token Druid, Mages that run Mirror Images, Tempo Decks that capitalize on board control. I feel as though a Knife Juggler would be more geared against dealing with Zoo.
Giving this deck a shot as I'm most comfortable with pally. Currently sitting around ranks 13-15. Just to give me a little direction, do we aim for smart trades most of the time?
This deck as all about board control. You don't need to rush face. Just keep the pressure on them until the Egg cracks
Wow, since posting that a couple of hours ago I've played a few games, currently 5-1. I know this is a small sample size but it's consistent and at least 3 of those games I finished with +25 health! You're definitely right, it's all about control. They just think you're another dumb shockadin though ;)
Yeap feels so good to watch them blow all the early removal only for it to be wasted when they realize your NOT a shockadin!
Currently knocking on the door of rank 7 :) Loving this deck!
nice start! im sure your stats will only get better as you get used to the deck!
I've lost every match with this and got bumped down from 5 to 7... fun times...
Also got wrecked by a shamen. the lightning storm wrecks this deck... dont see why people said it would b good vs them
....learn to not fill the entire board with minions. This isnt a rush deck you dont need to drop you hand asap.
i only put like 4 down on the board, the deck has no midgame only early and late, and shamen ussualy ramps up in mid then takes u over afterwards
It seems the intent is to play early game like Shockadin to draw out an early lightning storm. Then sit on an Equality + wipe. Tank some damage until you can get solid value in the mid-game from the wipe. Then start dropping late game sticky creatures.
With that in mind, I would replace Defender of Argus with Guardian of Kings for the heal and beefy creatures. I would also replace Harvest Golem with Wild Pyromancer for a back-up board wipe combo for mid-game.
Lastly, I would replace Acolyte of Pain with Lay on Hands for late-game draw + more heal. This would allow more consistency while maintaining the cool idea of "tricking" your opponent with the early game.
You may want to consider a Blood Knight in place of Dire Wolf Alpha as well just for that early game tempo surprise.
good to hear man! yeah shaman is almost a free win with this deck.
Le1: you dont need MORE card draw. the draw is enough as is. the protector gives you more board control. I fe like 1 more acolyte gives up to much early aggro. its up to your play style.
I'm here to answer any questions!
Gonna give this a go after this LoL match.
Let me know how it goes!
It's 6-2, both losses to Zoo decks that got perfect starts against my leper gnomes or argents quires.
It somehow miraculously beat a ramp deck against all odds. But barely, and it took almost all cards I had. Shaman was super easy.
