Just know that this works.
Tempo always wins you the game, not some gimmicky moves. There are 8 draw mechanics + 1 sprint. When drawing Brann Bronzebeard play him, don't keep him thinking it'll get you some wombocombo. It's good if it does that but decent as a standalone card. If you think you can survive till turn 6-9, then keep him for combo.
Use Shadowstep to cycle through the deck if you are Desperate for that heal. Don't keep Earthen Ring Farseer in hand on turn 3 even if you're at full health unless you're 100% sure that this is a control match-up.
Against Aggro, mulligan everything except 3 drops and below + Reno Jackson (shadow strike included because as aggro, no minions are ever going to be at 5 hp, other than warlock)
For Tempo/Midrange/Control, do the same. You're going to get most of the swingy/tempo cards anyway.
This deck does consistently with the suggested amount of draw cards, replace those at your own risk. You can tech in Twin Emperor Vek'lor but i don;t suggest it. At turn 7 you could play Crazed Worshipper + Eviscerate as it's better to allow enough mana for other moves that have an immediate effect on the board.
On the 30 plus games played, i've rarely ever ran out of cards and usually could play 1 or 2 cards on a turn. Against tempo C'Thun usually buffs till 11/11 the least and 18/18 against Control. I'd say this is an above average deck.
Only card i suggest that it is possible to change is Shadowcaster for any other card that synergize better or tech cards like Acidic Swamp Ooze or any card to prevent weapon/aggro, but not Dark Iron Skulker since you'll have the board most of the time.
Most problematic match-up is CB or Maly Rogue, face shaman and hunter. But even then, it's 50-50 depending on whether you draw your reno as you'll last till at least turn 7 with your "tempo/swingy" cards and draw through an average of 15 cards.
Have fun with this till next year first expansion =]
How can I replace Edwin??? Pls only 1 card needed to make this deck, and this is Edwin.
Can I replace it with Xaril or Arcane Giant?
Play with Xaril 4or tempo, will say how it works. A4ter 20 games will report how it is going.
dark iron skulker/veklor
I'\/e played this deck a lot, my stats now is 19/20 so it is 49% WR. Still doing sometimes bad decisions or missplays, but this deck is so much 4un to play! Really interesting. So, thanks, 4or ur deck. Still playing with Xaril, will try \/eklor and Skulker. Maybe they will be better.
You can't, it is a must have in every tempo rogue deck.
Are u sure? Xaril has nice synergy. +2 cards with Brann, and +1 a4ter death, i4 u remember, she gi\/es u 2dmg(3with drake/BmT) or card draw or shadow step (which is nice with Reno/Bladeo4CT/etc) or stealth or +3dmg to ur card. So, she gi\/es u some board control, I can't say, that she is better than Edwin, but u know, there is a possibility.
My bad, was working. I actually meant that Edwin's a must because combo-ing him is easy and he helps to control your early game.
The reason why I don't use Xaril is because he is too gimmicky and loses to basically everything. Just consider and ask whether the 2 extra cards are worth the badly stat-ed card? I'd say no, since playing it gaurentees a loss against any tempo/flood decks and you'all have to play from behind from then on in which this deck doesn't do too well. Arcane giant is good, but this deck doesn't run too many spells.
I beileve Veklor is a good addition but you'all have to ask yourself which cards you are willing to cut to fit them in. Skulkor not so much, since this deck depends on proactive plays instead of reactive plays, also people do play around FOK + Bloodmage, why not skulkor. With the current meta of deathrattles, I'd suggest against that. Yup, if drawn and played well, the only decks you'll still lose to is Combo (which is dying out) or deathrattle zoo. Good luck yeah :] do comment on any other overhauls on this deck if it helps with the winrate but still keeps the essence of the deck.
Nice description. Thx for sharing your thoughts!
of course thumbs up! +
Hope you had fun playing this version of rogue :)
