This season i've played only this deck and i've reached legend fast, this deck is the strongest on ladder to climb i think, it's not a joke, in past i've tried secret paladin, midrange hunter, all the strongest archetypes and this in my opinion is the best.
Why those cards?
Doomsayer is a great card, helps you a lot in many different situations, on turn 2 is great on turn 7 behind a Sludge Belcher is awesome, she buy the tempo and the board.
Piloted Shredder there are few 4 drops in this deck, this is better then Shifting Shade or Priest of the Feast
Justicar Trueheart without auchenai is still good? yes. Why? Hunters. There are a lot of Hunters in Wild, this beats their oppressive hero power.
Why no those cards?
Auchenai/circle/flash heals: because if you have other options to board clear is better doing that in one card instead in a combination of cards.
Cabal Shadow Priest with 6 six drops you can't put more of them.
Proof of legend
Hope you try this one, and let a comment and an upvote! cheers!
N'Zoth Priest is a Control deck that wins by outgrinding your opponent. You don't care whether he heals or not. Moreover, As you progress further into the game, your other deathrattles will be activated instead of Zombie Chow as you should play him early on turn 1 or 2. Remember, N'Zoth only summons the last 6 minions that have died amd have deathrattle in their text. Given that not even Warrior can outgrind you, you will win by clearing their minions, summoning your big ones and healing up. In the late game they will be topdecking while you'll have board control and many options with your bigger hand. Only Handlock can overcome this strategy as well as Murloc Paladin. Against the former, try to lock him into a big board that threatens his 15 HP following his first Shadowflame and Twisting Nether. Against the latter, try to entomb Warleader or Old Murk Eye and then build a taunt barrage of Deathlord into Belcher, saving your N'Zoth onky after both of his equalities are gone. They are still unfavored MUs but they have a tough time vs the rest of the ladder while you just rip through it. Good luck and never underestimate the Chow. He can win the early game by himself.
I just want to point out that while you're spot on about everything else, N'Zoth does not summon the last six deathrattle minions to die, but chooses them at random. Blizzard has confirmed this multiple times, including here: https://twitter.com/PlayHearthstone/status/713055841562206208
I also swapped in an Elise Starseeker which allows my zombie chows to become deathwings.
Played like 30 games with this deck, and it feels a bit inconsistent. Sometimes I draw all the answers I need and destroy my opponent, other times I don't draw anything useful and the games over by turn 4.
A lot of the time too, it feels like hunters just outvalue you and shamans just rush you down faster than you can recover.
Any tips?
I feel ya homie
I personally run a different N'zoth Priest, Shredders/Excavated/Doomsayer/Madness replaced by Elise/Pyro/Circle/Auch and depending on what I encounter Trueheart is also usually on the sideboard. Those are the main changes I have, there are some subtle ones too like Holy Smites, Shade, Feast... the downside is adding inconsistency by running Circle/Auch, the upside is a lot more powerful options for clearing the board, the Circle Cleric possibility (which generally wins the game when pulled off early), some added synergy (Auch + Chows, Auch + hero power is super handy) and a massive boost to fatigue matches.
I never liked Excavated Evil, low damage and the effect is too relevant sometimes, and I find Justicar to be often useless in a ton of matches that you can win much simpler by controlling the board with your added Pyro and powerful Auch Circle play.
edit : not to diss the author here, the deck obviously worked for him, I just cannot leave Soulpriest outta the deck with her beautiful artwork :p
Played against this deck a lot today.... So fucking Over Powered. Great job OP for making this deck. I raged every match
I have to agree with the majority here. Playing a deck with such few creatures and four buffs, this deck just isn't good at all. Maybe waiting to play piloted shredder then velen's chosen the next turn after 3turns of nothing is good for your matchups, but certainly not mine.
42 upvotes, 8 downvotes, yes for sure you're a majority!
I have only played standard since it came out, but now, im so sick of the meta i ended up just playing arena. saw this deck and decided to give wild a try. i am having so much fun, maybe its the weird decks i'm seeing (still mosty mid hunters and i think there's people just playing standard mid range shaman, kinda disgusting if you ask me) but still, beating this assh*les with priest feel so good, really recommend you to try this deck or at least wild if you are feeling similar to me. thank you so much for the deck Ehi_Coso!
I know it's just bad RNG, but here was my first experience using your deck. The only minion I could play before turn 6 was Doomsayer, lol.

Edit: Maybe I don't understand this deck or something, but I'm at 0 for 5. :/
Edit2: Played a few more rounds. I'd have a better win rate with an in-game deck.
Edit3: After 10 straight losses, I switched to pre-built C'thun's Clutch and won 2/3.
Not one win in 10 at rank 20. And I'm not a new player, or a poor player. Not enough synergy, depends very heavily on first draw and mulligan. too many top tier cards. Can't counter other player's top tier cards.
Bad mulligan/RNG. Concede and try again :D
But shouldn't a deck be playable from all angles, and not hinge entirely on the first 3 cards?
Funny how people here always think: Wild = Dr. Boom everywhere. But for us who watched the meta since WoG, we know that Dr. Boom is no longer as good as it seems. Yes, an insane 7 drop still, but with N'zoth decks he is really bad. Also many decks does not need him, he would not increase the winrate of these decks, maybe even lower it, since it's a 7 drop.
EDIT:
Also: +1 for realism saying Doomsayer is a "SHE". Remembers me of the Damsel in Distress-quest in Un'goro ^^
Hey ehi,
just used your deck for my new priest hero Tyrande! Great deck! Obviously pretty low rankish for the start of the season but I can see the potential and your results :)
If someone is interested in a few easy Tyrande wins: VOD N'Zoth Tyrande
YT-Player:
shredder in control deck LUL.
shifting shade always gives me gorehowl, execute vs. warrior or another nzoth vs. mirror
Best deck ever.
PS: I AM IN RANK 20 FFS! YOU DIDN'T GET LEGEND WITH THIS DECK.
Even thou this deck is total crap and keeps losing in rank 20, I will keep playing till I get a win and post the win percentage.
