This season i've played only this deck and i've reached legend fast, this deck is the strongest on ladder to climb i think, it's not a joke, in past i've tried secret paladin, midrange hunter, all the strongest archetypes and this in my opinion is the best.
Why those cards?
Doomsayer is a great card, helps you a lot in many different situations, on turn 2 is great on turn 7 behind a Sludge Belcher is awesome, she buy the tempo and the board.
Piloted Shredder there are few 4 drops in this deck, this is better then Shifting Shade or Priest of the Feast
Justicar Trueheart without auchenai is still good? yes. Why? Hunters. There are a lot of Hunters in Wild, this beats their oppressive hero power.
Why no those cards?
Auchenai/circle/flash heals: because if you have other options to board clear is better doing that in one card instead in a combination of cards.
Cabal Shadow Priest with 6 six drops you can't put more of them.
Proof of legend
Hope you try this one, and let a comment and an upvote! cheers!
how to get shifting shades into here without cluttering death-rattles im not to convinced with the velens i am trying to tweak changes but i need help plz
I dusted Lightbomb, any replacements ? Also congratz on legend
why not though makes it easier for us to see changes if we have a deck we really like bookmarked :D
ok but i didnt ask you to change the deck i just asked why you didnt post updated ones if u did ty for reply and suggestions anyway :)
well you dont you just edit this one to the new cards thats all,, gl with them last 7 ranks :D
-1 curator -1chow +2 velen
Well this deck has only one weakness for call it "easy climb".
Average game duration - I play very quickly, and average cost of one game is 11 minutes :-(
In fact, to climb you need more quick deck :-(
First of all - I have had great success with this deck and have had fun playing it. The only changes I've made is -1 Shadow Word: Death for 1 Shadow Word: Pain (helps vs. Aggro and Hunters and with the next change) And -1 Excavated Evil for 1 Vol'jin (I have gone 11-3 so far).
that voljin works well
Really first deck, where I have really control about game and usually winnable game (18-4 went from 25 to 14 now)
Well, usually Cleric give me at least one card and its usually "invisible taunt" minion for enemy.
When I started removing Clerics of my other (standard) priest decks, I usually replaced with Resurrect, which really can works in some situations.
Maybe Cleric will works more fine, if one Excavated Evil will be replaced with Holy Nova, but in my 35 games I lost only againts enemies with a lot of luck (perfect hand/curve, great random results) so I don't know if is smart now try tweak this really good deck for more combo opportunities...
Truth is, 2 copies of Shadow Word: Death looks like not so needed, but same idea about tweaks above - 2 in deck means, twive more chance to get and have when very dangerous enemy minion appears.
Well, I don't change anything :-)
Hate to give this deck anymore attention because I think it is exceptionally good and definitely a viable legend candidate. I would offer the only unfavored matchups are hunter when you don't draw entomb for their highmane and a secret paladin playing perfectly on curve. I do not have double lightbomb so I run shifting shade and after playing the deck long enough I decided to drop shadow madness and add another shifting shade. I understand that shadow madness can be an amazing card in an ideal situation but I just wasn't finding myself in those situations. Also I have played enough priest to lament when lightbomb is in my hand as a dead card or when I can't draw it and it is necessary. I think the addition of more threats and a unique "draw" mechanic will help overall. If anyone is not confident about running double velen's chosen I would suggest running a dark cultist to add to the available three drops. Just a bit of advice about control matchups. Choose your entomb targets carefully. Preferably choose targets with effects like a Ragnaros or Medivh. Against a N'Zoth Paladin always target Tirion. Thank ehi_coso for the work you put into this deck. I have gotten plenty of turn 3-4 concedes from my opponents when getting a velen's deathlord on the board.
I'm assuming that N'Zoth is the only late game win condition in this deck, and don't get me wrong, it's been working great for me. (3-1 to an aggro shaman with shit hand)
But if you meet up with a paladin, what can I do to bait out the equality consecrate combo before N'Zoth is played?
Wow 0-4 with this deck getting killed by hunter priest and Mage twice had no chance help
Holy crap dude. This deck is insane!!
That's the best comment I've ever read.
Holy Nova is the closest thing, also it can heal you and your minions a bit, which is not bad.
But still, is not the same without Lightbomb, you should craft at least one
solid deck :D
