Not first time legend, but first time legend with Priest.
After a period of trial and error I came to this version of Resurrect Priest. It seemed superior to any other Priest deck I had ever played, so I played it straight from rank 7 to legend with a 69% win rate.
Mulligan Guide
Always keep Injured Blademaster, Auchenai Soulpriest and Priest of the Feast.
If you have any of the above, also keep Resurrect.
If you have Auchenai, also keep Circle of Healing.
If you have Circle, also keep Embrace the Shadow.
Keep Excavated Evil against Shaman, Mage and Warlock.
Shadow Word: Pain:
Always keep it against Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Hunter and Warrior.
Against Druid and Priest keep it only if you already have a good hand.
Never keep it against Rogue and Paladin.

So why not another taunt? What about Sunwalker? He can be a pain for warriors to deal with (not easily executed), and (wait for it) can't be targeted by Priest removal (pun intended).
How do you feel about Sogg over a Bog Creeper? Personally I'm a huge fan of the card but is it too slow here? I haven't had much of a chance to practice it in non-wild pyro priest thus far.
As a Priest I like to have minions that I can heal.
i did that and it works, instead of 2 bog creepers, i added 1 bog creeper and a yogg sauron!
can i ask why u didnt put in barnes?
This deck doesn't have enough Barnes-worthy minions, considering the risk of Barnes summoning Onyx and Onyx resurrecting Barnes.
Really fun, went 4-1. -1 Circle +1 Shadow Madness. Shadow madness gets crazy good value and if you have 2 circles, you end up holding one for a while.
Wouldn't recommend Shadow Madness. Gives you a chance to resurrect the (usually) shitty minion that dies when you take control and trade it.
While I agree that is a possibility, it's saved me a few times (btw, I'm 11-5 with this deck now). I don't always use it on turn 4. But if you don't draw your blademaster and/or PotF, then sometimes you get too far behind. It can save you.
Very solid deck. Two 7 game win streaks so far.
First of all i don't want to be an asshole. I think that i'm a good priest player(i'm in HS since beta and priest are one of my favorite classes) but this deck dosn't work, AGANIST ANY DECK. It's fun but not competitive

Really enjoyed this deck for standard. Was fun as I typically don't play priest.
I too hate Auchenai and Circle of Healing combo, so I don't run them in my resurrect priest. Instead, I use Priest's card stealing abilities along with Yogg and Arcane giants. I can't say that I've made legend with it, but it is competitive at ranks 10 down to 5 (where I am right now)

Most difficult matchups are agro, since you might not get to play any decent cards until turn 4. But if you mulligan and think through your plays, you can still win (generally through Priest of the Feast and all the low cost spells in the deck).
What I dislike about your deck choice:
Stealing via mindvision and thoughsteal produces minion class cards from your opponents class that aren't "resurrect" worthy options in alot of cases. I hate that. Same goes for shifting shade - not only do i not want to resurrect this weak 4-3 body...but I also gain stolen cards that likely aren't spells and thus not something I want to play.
I also don't like auchenai because I don't want to resurrect her or have non-synergy with priest of the feast... so i run two embrace the shadows instead as my opportunities to deal damage via flash heals and circle of healing.
I'll agree that you have to be careful when you thoughsteal and use mindvision, because you are right that you might not get "resurrect-worthy" minions. But I rarely have a game where I have to thrown down a thoughsteal minion early on. And by late game, it's not a big deal because you've already burned through 2 or 3 of your resurrects.
Also, I've stolen Flamewakers, Savannah Highmanes, Doomhammers, Call of the Wilds, and even Antonidas who I resurrected later. Most games, I'm not losing because I've stolen incorrect cards. You lose because you might not have the right combo of cards to survive the first 3 turns. Or you lose because you play Yogg and his spells go horribly against you.
Also, depending on the deck you are playing against, you can easily get spells (any yogg deck, tempo mage, etc....but most decks run at least 10 spells/weapons so you have a chance of getting non-minion cards).
It's really not as bad as you think...

Saddest statistic is that he met 2 Paladins in 90 games.
