Hey guys!
Zananananan here, I'm a german Hearthstone player and I'm currently playing for http://www.sfd-gaming.com/. I just wanted to share my Discardlock with you. I played Patron Warrior on the first day to hit rank 4. On the 2nd day the last Karazhan wing came out. I built this deck and hit Legend with it.

Guide:
This deck is usually favored against other Aggro decks, you want to trade as much as possible. Go face against Midrange or Control decks. The key is to realize when you have to go all in and when you can afford to play around AOE.
Let's talk about the placement first. Most of the time it doesn't matter, but it can still win or lose you some games. You always want to maximize the efficiency of Dire Wolf Alpha.
- In general you want big minions, minions with deathrattle or taunt on the side and small minions in the middle.
- Knife Juggler has to be on the side (Taunt or deathrattle doesn't matter). You don't want to trade with him.
- Imp Gang Boss on the left. The Imp's will spawn in the middle.
Mulligan:
I'll talk about the cards you always want to keep first. No matter what you are playing against. After that I'll take a look at specific matchups.
Flame Imp > Voidwalker, Possessed Villager, Malchezaar's Imp > Abusive Sergeant
If you have Silverware Golem and Soulfire or Darkshire Librarian you can consider keeping both. You have a 33% Chance to discard the Silverware Golem on turn 2. If you don't have the coin and you don't have a 1 drop throw everything away. It's okay to play Abusive Sergeant on turn 1 if you don't have something else. I usually don't like keeping Dark Peddler, only keep it if you already have a good hand. Keep Dire Wolf Alpha if you have the coin and 2 1 drops.
Druid:
favored - Darkshire Councilman is fine if you have a 1 drop.
Hunter:
favored - Keep Imp Gang Boss if you a 1 drop. I don't like playing Voidwalker on turn 1 if they have the coin. You still have to play it if you don't have something else. They can coin out Huge Toad. Keep Dire Wolf Alpha if you have Possessed Villager. Keep Houndmaster and Unleash the Hounds in mind.
Tempo Mage:
favored - Keep Imp Gang Boss with a 1 drop, it's good against the Flamewaker. You don't have to play around Flamestrike, most lists aren't running it.
Freeze Mage:
heavily unfavored - Darkshire Councilman if you have a 1 drop. You have to go all in on him having no AOE.
N'Zoth Paladin:
even - Play a bit about Consecration. Darkshire Councilman again if you have 1 drop. Be careful about Doomsayer.
Aggro Paladin:
favored - Keep Imp Gang Boss with a 1 drop.
Priest:
even - Darkshire Councilman is good but it's better to bait for Shadow Word: Pain before playing it. Keep Excavated Evil in mind.
Rogue:
even - Keep Darkshire Councilman or Imp Gang Boss if you have a 1 drop. Avoid playing a 2 health minion on turn 2 if he has the coin (SI:7 Agent).
Aggro/Midrange Shaman:
heavily favored - Imp Gang Boss if you have a 1 drop. Beware Lightning Storm. Soulfire is strong against his Totem Golem.
Control Shaman:
heavily unfavored - Try to find an explosive start, keep Darkshire Councilman with a 1 drop. Kill Wrath of Air Totem.
Zoo:
even - Imp Gang Boss is insane in this matchup. Keep Dire Wolf Alpha if you have Possessed Villager, you can kill Flame Imp or Dark Peddler. You always want to clear his board, he can't use Abusive Sergeant, Power Overwhelming or Defender of Argus this way.
Renolock:
favored - Keep Darkshire Councilman. Don't play around AOE, they only have 1 Demonwrath and 1 Hellfire for early game.
Dragon Warrior:
even - I don't like Voidwalker because of Alexstrasza's Champion. Soulfire is good against Frothing Berserker, Fierce Monkey and Blackwing Corruptor.
Control Warrior:
unfavored - Keep Darkshire Councilman if you have a 1 drop. I like Possessed Villager on turn 1 and coin Darkshire Councilman or Imp Gang Boss turn 2. It plays around Fiery War Axe. Be aware of Brawl, Revenge and Ravaging Ghoul.
Questions
Why aren't you running other discard cards like Succubus or Tiny Knight of Evil?
I wanted to make the deck as consistent as possible.
No Power Overwhelming?
I don't think you need it. Soulfire is good enough.
You are awesome. Thank you for your support!
All these 1 drops, and I still can't get an early game hand
Rank 12 to rank 15 in just 2 hours!
Actually.... think I figured out what I'm doing wrong....
up to rank 11 now >.>

Rank20 to Rank7 in 30wins in America server. (I don't know my win rate). Simple but effective guide. Awesome deck.
EDIT: Rank7 to Rank5 in 5 straight wins before the season ends later :)
deck got me easily from rank 19 to rank 7 (so far). Very consistent and also isnt as brainless as other aggressive decks! Often good decisions making needed to have a decent winrate with this!
ALTHOUGH I do not quite agree with some of the "keep [card]Darkshire Councilman[/card]" mulligans guided here...asides that the guide is very detailed and correct. :)
Why is there no Fist Of Jaraxxus ??? It has the synergy with our deck.
because as the OP said, the goal is to take Discolock to consistency, which naturally means altering it to be closer to a "normal zoo" deck. The discard mechanic here is used to create power spikes due to tempo plays with smart&well timed dicards.
Aside that, have u tried a full discard deck with all the cards like Tiny Knight of Evil, Succubus, Fist of Jaraxxus etc.? I found even in that deck, that Fist of Jaraxxus is still kinda the least effective one (i know theres the Doomguard double Fist of Jaraxxus Dream).
Long story short: it doesnt have synergy in this deck due to lack of consistency and even in full disco decks its kinda weak.
Just a insane deck dude, went from rank 16 to 4 in 2 days.
I agree, you really need to have luck drawing and discarding the right cards, way too much RNG required. It's a fun deck, but I just don't seem to have the righ amount of luck for it, but when I read the comments it seems like there are a lot of lucky people out there ;)
The deck isn't bad. It can certainly carry some of the newer players to legend if played correctly. Mulliganing right is just a skill problem, and it actually is very very easy, if you don't have one drops you should hard mulligan for it, imp gang is a fine keep and dark peddler too. Furthermore, the discarding is not really a problem, you usually don't want discards in the early game unless you can ensure yourself of a silverware golem, but you will never keep discards so this is unlikely, but in the late game when you are on topdecking mode already it is not really hard to get silverware golem discarded, and sometimes you will need to keep your card because discarding is just to big of a risk. So to sum up, do not discard if it is at great risk, mulligan is easy, late game discarding will not have a really big effect since you are on topdecking mode already.
I understand some people not liking the deck but getting destroyed in a game might also depend on the matchup, matchups like rogue, dragon warrior, control warrior, control shaman, midrange shaman are just bad matchups.
This deck is awesome, went from rank 10 to 5 in 3 hours. Thanks mate!
Used this deck and got from rank 14 to rank 7! Thanks mate!
Edit: To rank 3!
Easily one of the worst decks I have ever seen, the discard effects undermine the deck itself
This deck is actually quite good. The discard effect is the whole reason for the deckand it doesn't undermine it. This deck is consistend because you need to, as a player, dicide when to discard and when not to. When this is done right you can win a lot of games.
I'm working towards Malchezaar's Imp right now. Any replacement for that?
Not really. This is one of the cornerstones of this deck and turns the discard effect into value gaining effect. Consider the following mulligan: Malchezaar's Imp, Darkshire Librarian and Silverware Golem, going first. Turn one, you play the imp, turn two you play the librarian and have 50% chance of sumonning a 3/3, and in any case you draw a card. If you happen to discard the Golem, you actually summon a minion and draw a card instead of discarding. This can win a game in itself.
Well. I've tried standard zoo with giants - works well. I've tried zoo with cult masters, worked also well. I've tried this deck then and ended R5 for now. I can say that in this deck you don't want to change any card, because all them together provide quite versatility and event if you have a bad hand - you can still win "value game" then, you throw out everything but golem and time comes eventually.
For those who aim R5 I can say: just don't play risky, eventually you are going to have your high discard value with golem or at least discard zero and this will make the game for you. Only take risks when you are in severe disadvantage on board, don't discard useful cards. I saved a lot of soulfires not using them on totem golem early and still won when I actually discarded the only card Silverware Golem in my hand.
For those who recently managed to take Legend with this deck I have a question: how many Shamans on your way and how impactful is that ?
Can I replace 2 Imp Gang Boss with 2 Succubus? I really want more discard mechanics and I do not have BRM.
Probably not, those are one of the best cards you have in this deck. They're completely vital in some matchips.
I had my doubts at first since you only have 6 discard mechanics and 4 cards that benefit from discards but this deck is fun!
I like betting on the RNG chances of discarding that silverware golem when having more than 1 card or refilling your hand with the imp.
