Hey guys!
Zananananan here, I'm a german Hearthstone player and I'm currently playing for http://www.sfd-gaming.com/. I just wanted to share my Discardlock with you. I played Patron Warrior on the first day to hit rank 4. On the 2nd day the last Karazhan wing came out. I built this deck and hit Legend with it.

Guide:
This deck is usually favored against other Aggro decks, you want to trade as much as possible. Go face against Midrange or Control decks. The key is to realize when you have to go all in and when you can afford to play around AOE.
Let's talk about the placement first. Most of the time it doesn't matter, but it can still win or lose you some games. You always want to maximize the efficiency of Dire Wolf Alpha.
- In general you want big minions, minions with deathrattle or taunt on the side and small minions in the middle.
- Knife Juggler has to be on the side (Taunt or deathrattle doesn't matter). You don't want to trade with him.
- Imp Gang Boss on the left. The Imp's will spawn in the middle.
Mulligan:
I'll talk about the cards you always want to keep first. No matter what you are playing against. After that I'll take a look at specific matchups.
Flame Imp > Voidwalker, Possessed Villager, Malchezaar's Imp > Abusive Sergeant
If you have Silverware Golem and Soulfire or Darkshire Librarian you can consider keeping both. You have a 33% Chance to discard the Silverware Golem on turn 2. If you don't have the coin and you don't have a 1 drop throw everything away. It's okay to play Abusive Sergeant on turn 1 if you don't have something else. I usually don't like keeping Dark Peddler, only keep it if you already have a good hand. Keep Dire Wolf Alpha if you have the coin and 2 1 drops.
Druid:
favored - Darkshire Councilman is fine if you have a 1 drop.
Hunter:
favored - Keep Imp Gang Boss if you a 1 drop. I don't like playing Voidwalker on turn 1 if they have the coin. You still have to play it if you don't have something else. They can coin out Huge Toad. Keep Dire Wolf Alpha if you have Possessed Villager. Keep Houndmaster and Unleash the Hounds in mind.
Tempo Mage:
favored - Keep Imp Gang Boss with a 1 drop, it's good against the Flamewaker. You don't have to play around Flamestrike, most lists aren't running it.
Freeze Mage:
heavily unfavored - Darkshire Councilman if you have a 1 drop. You have to go all in on him having no AOE.
N'Zoth Paladin:
even - Play a bit about Consecration. Darkshire Councilman again if you have 1 drop. Be careful about Doomsayer.
Aggro Paladin:
favored - Keep Imp Gang Boss with a 1 drop.
Priest:
even - Darkshire Councilman is good but it's better to bait for Shadow Word: Pain before playing it. Keep Excavated Evil in mind.
Rogue:
even - Keep Darkshire Councilman or Imp Gang Boss if you have a 1 drop. Avoid playing a 2 health minion on turn 2 if he has the coin (SI:7 Agent).
Aggro/Midrange Shaman:
heavily favored - Imp Gang Boss if you have a 1 drop. Beware Lightning Storm. Soulfire is strong against his Totem Golem.
Control Shaman:
heavily unfavored - Try to find an explosive start, keep Darkshire Councilman with a 1 drop. Kill Wrath of Air Totem.
Zoo:
even - Imp Gang Boss is insane in this matchup. Keep Dire Wolf Alpha if you have Possessed Villager, you can kill Flame Imp or Dark Peddler. You always want to clear his board, he can't use Abusive Sergeant, Power Overwhelming or Defender of Argus this way.
Renolock:
favored - Keep Darkshire Councilman. Don't play around AOE, they only have 1 Demonwrath and 1 Hellfire for early game.
Dragon Warrior:
even - I don't like Voidwalker because of Alexstrasza's Champion. Soulfire is good against Frothing Berserker, Fierce Monkey and Blackwing Corruptor.
Control Warrior:
unfavored - Keep Darkshire Councilman if you have a 1 drop. I like Possessed Villager on turn 1 and coin Darkshire Councilman or Imp Gang Boss turn 2. It plays around Fiery War Axe. Be aware of Brawl, Revenge and Ravaging Ghoul.
Questions
Why aren't you running other discard cards like Succubus or Tiny Knight of Evil?
I wanted to make the deck as consistent as possible.
No Power Overwhelming?
I don't think you need it. Soulfire is good enough.
You are awesome. Thank you for your support!
Thank you for this deck, my favourite warlock deck since Bueno deck.

20... to 11 rank - (2-3)Hours game
Rank what? 11? Its a scrub rank. Is that some kind of achievement for you?
Is it any good? I cant go past rank 6 after yogg nerf, its already been a week. Simply stuck at 50% winrate with no winstreaks. Malygos Druids and Controle Warriors destroy me, and I get matchmaked against them every time I win some hunter or rogue, and midrange shaman is sometimes hard to deal with, even when I read all of his cards, I just get a bad draw or something... My ass is on fire right now, its like I bought Karazhan for nothing. I even replaced 1 Abusive sergeant with Crazed alchemist to counter shaman totems and Malygos, but its not enough.
Is it just me, or the deck is no longer viable? With that aggro shaman-sergeant-yogg nerf, meta slowed down and now there is just too many zoo counters out there.
Like, come on, all I want is a sea giant treasure chest... Maybe its time to give up on ranked and play arena only. Or give up on Hearthstone. I dont know. Fuck you, Blizzard.
I think it's still decent. Just climbed to top 100 today. Abusive is still good enough I think.
I think its pretty bad, both Abusive and the deck itself. Zoo is dead. I've been laddering every single season up to rank 5 using zoo, and this month I am just unable to do that, getting a 50% or less winrate with zoo no matter what. Stuck on 6-9 ranks, getting lots of losestreaks and no winstreaks. 15+ hours worth of play in total, no results.
Want to ladder fast - better go Tempo Mage. Playing Zoo in the current meta is masochism. Guess I'll rank up with Mage this season.
Warlock is one of the 2 classes that I've never played much but I kept seeing this deck pop up so much I had to try it out. Turns out it's pretty fun! Won 6 games in a row despite not really knowing what I was doing. Getting the hang of it now. Thanks for the guide! :)
Awesome deck - it is still relatively early in the season and I am rank 9. The win streaks are far and few between. This is obviously not a cancer deck and requires some smarts to run effectively - so if you are looking for easy wins this deck is not for you. If you want a deck that will consistently win in the long run and grind down to a low level, this will certainly get you there. LEGEND OR BUST!
To be honest, there don't seem to be many challenging decks out there if you have played this game long enough. This is more challenging than the mindless face hunters and the zoolocks I see out there.
Hanging out at rank 6 now. Was a win away from rank 5, then had a couple losses. Rank 5 will happen soon enough!
Update - currently rank 4, and close to rank 3 with this. I am not even playing much, I think I won my last 7 in a row over a period of like 3 days. Going all in this weekend for legend.
BTW - I made a change around level 12, I traded out a Darkshire Librarian for Demonfire since I feel the deck is slightly too "disco happy."
Update again - Rank 3
Im using slightly modified version of this deck. I dont have BRM yet so I managed to swap Imp Gang Boss with Imp Master. It worked perfectly fine from 20 to 15 until I encountered lack of burst damage/damage through taunt. So I changed Imp Master with Fist of Jaraxxus, and went straight almost to the 13. Right now I have a BIG problems with secret hunters and small problems with tempo mage. While fist works fine vs tempo, removing wyrms and/or flamewalkers, its no use vs secret. Im just losing my pace, dancing around 3 secrets at turn 3. And Im not really sure that gang boss will fix it, so im thinking to take 1 Defender of Argus away and swap it with Eater of Secrets. Why argus? Because I noticed that at least 1 argus is discarded away in 2/3 games, so if I discard eater in no-secret game, there will be no actual change. How's that?
Since Abusive Sergeant was nerfed I swapped it for Young Priestess
It kinda helps you trade as your Knife Jugglers and Dire Wolf Alphas will stick more and it works as a standalone 1 drop too, which abusive doesn't anymore. I've been having decent success with it!
I've written a Miracle Rogue Guide. Check it out: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/648291-legend-10-miracle-rogue-guide-s31 ;)
you can't tbh, although you might be able to use harvest golem for gang boss?
Use gold, They're both really good adventures and u should get them
Dark Peddler ==> Wrathguard since it costs 2 for a 3 or 4 worth card.
Imp Gang Boss ==> Imp Master quite similar card except the imp spawn is guarantee (and yes it will trigger Darkshire Councilman and Knife Juggler)
This decks works pretty well for me, but I changed it a bit since I wanted to try Fist of Jaraxxus. I removed 1xDire Wolf Alpha and 1xDarkshire Councilman, but still not sure if this is final version now that Abusive Sergeant is nerfed.
Any comments on this? Maybe this deck need to be updated to reflect recent patch.
The discard mechanic just turns Warlock into Priest-Light. Just a little shit RNG and some poor draws and you can kiss your own ass goodbye.
I got rank 4 with it yesterday on the first day of the season on EU. Not sure if you are playing it correctly. Ok it's a bit worse against Midrange Shaman for sure because of Spirit Claws and Maelstrom Portal. But I think Zoo is still in a decent spot atm.
