Hey guys Mr. Savage with another super cool deck that is killer on ladder right now(7-0 on rank 2-1)
I have been super excited to play Dragon paladin since Nightbane templar was announced.
This card is absolutely insane!
The basic idea of the deck is similar to that of Tempo warrior. Remove your opponent's minions efficiently and develop a board at the same time.
Full video guide (decided to try it out vs writing down all the information let me know what you think down below)

Gameplay
oh you actually believed that PogChamp?
Wouldn't chillmaw be much better with the aggro meta and nzoth?
I agree the deck needs more healing but I'm not a huge fan of Forbidden Healing. It just feels like when I use it I lose too much board presence and end up playing catch up the rest of the game.
What I tried instead is:
- 1 Selfless Hero, -1 Dragon Constort, +2 Ivory Knights
While the drawback to the Ivory Knight is that about half of all Paladin spells are low cost cards, I still find that getting healing, a spell AND and 4/4 on the board to be pretty great value. Testing how this works right now.
+2 Ivory Knights makes the deck a little too top heavy. Pulled one and added a Selfless Hero back in. Seems to be working better.
because i dont have all the cards, i replaced some: -cairne, - rag lightlord, - onyxia, + chillmaw, + 6 mana horse thingy, + nefarian.
works like a charm. chillmaw has some negative synergy with nzoth, but that isnt too bad. 90% of the time u either never get nzoth, or ur never get chillmaw, or u win before u want to play any of them. cairne isnt needed to win in control matches, and doesnt help much against aggro, but chillmaw does help against aggro and isnt bad at all against control, so even if i had cairne i would keep chillmaw in the deck. about onyxia.... well i just prefer 2 spells over a few 1/1. she is better when ur board just got whiped, but if u play around stuff correctly ur board getting whiped wont hurt, and u wont need onyxia to take it back. by the time i get to play nefarian i either am winning, so i hardly have space for the 1/1's and dont need them, or im losing so horribly that 1/1's wont cut it and u need some miracle spells to win. i finally got to rank 5 with this deck, because it rapes shamans so hard when u get a decent opener followed up by chillmaw/tirion. I even won against a priest, by just playing super aggresively, and in the end playing nzoth. against warrior just make a board he doenst quite want to brawl, but also cant leave it be and slowly kill him. against druid, well just play as much stuff on the board as u can, as long as u play around swipe. against hunter you need a lot of luck, this is the matchup where i really miss rag lightlord. and that's basicly all i was facing. with a rogue sometimes, which, as Always, recks paladin's. but they are pretty rare because of the shaman's.
thanks for the deck, first time i play competitive paladin, and it's good. 14-5 atm, 74% winrate, but now i tryharded my way to rank 5 i will start playing some decks that are a bit more fun (and probably a lot worse).
I don't have Onyxia so I've been doing the same.
Its not anti meta and needs work... but fun...
Excellent deck even in higher ranks. Went from rank 3 to rank 2 with it, going to try more later.
I made just a few adjustments:
Removed: -1 Drakonid Crusher, -1 Onyxia
Added: +1 Forbidden Healing, +1 Chillmaw
I don't actually have Onyxia but I think Chillmaw is better. Synergy with N'Zoth and an additional taunt/board clear is almost always useful. As for the Crusher I think the deck has enough dragons and high threat minions already, the healing is very important in many matchups.
having played the deck for ten matches, and winning none of them, i can safely say i love the concept but cannot get it to work. I want this to play well, but it seems extremely draw dependent and does not have enough tempo to hold board control steadily until its too late. Maybe its just rank 10 screwing me, but i have a feeling that the deck itself just doesn't have the tools to work. (rip wild cards)
Im definitely going to redesign this for wild though, love the idea.
as for people insisting I dont know how to play against aggro, i do, its just the deck doesnt handle very well against it. I got rekt by control decks and aggro decks alike. I ran out of fuel very quickly, and with so few options for comeback mechanics in paladin, the deck is a jack of all trades and a master of none.
Anyone else having an awful time as well? I want it to work, but it comes off as a bad gimmick despite the powerful cards
Can we get an insight from the creator of the deck on that? really like onyxia reasoning and feel my self like sylv was missing in the deck.
Excited to try this deck out when I get home. I'm gonna replace Ysera for Onyxia and need to replace Lightlord (don't have) and Dragon Consort (don't like).
I'm contemplating putting in either Lay on Hands and Equality or x2 Ivory Knight. What would be the best combination out of those 3 options?
I don't have Cairne Bloodhoof, Onyxia and also missing one Selfless Hero. I replaced Cairne Bloodhoof with Sylvanas Windrunner and Onyxia with Nefarian and the missing Selfless Hero with A Light in the Darkness.
Though Onyxia/Nefarian can be easily replaced with Chillmaw, for obvious reasons.
Thanks for sharing this deck! :)
Great deck man! against zoo I mulligan hard for removal and early drops.
I'm currently 7-3 and 3-0 vs midrange hunters, beaten a feast priest as well. Currently shaman is wrecking me by turn 6 since they can kill my early minions quickly while buffing theirs.
A couple changes I made were Ysera for Onyxia to give me more staying power late game (plus I dont have ony anyways) and I've added Ivory Knight in place of rag since I don't have him either (forbidden healing works too). Don't have N'zoth either so I added another dragon in the form of chromaggus (or Chillmaw works). Lastly I replaced Cairne with a steward of Darkshire since there is a lot of synergy there!
I've been winning most of my games before turn 8 simply because I usually always get to trade favorably and keep board. Like mentioned before I've barely had higher mana minons Tirion come out and I've yet to see my ysera and chromaggus haha (over 10 games).
Update: Currently 10-3! I've beaten zoolock and N'zoth warriors as well.
Deck is a lot of fun to play and the Nightbane Templar is really great early on (better than expected). Some rank 7 gameplay made today: VOD

Interesting deck. Just wrecked a purify priest but then a warlock wrecked me, completely by like turn 6.
btw nzoth is not good to this deck ? so heavy card
Cairne Bloodhoof is there because it's very sticky minion. You have to deal with it twice and it fits in the deck better.
Ragnaros, Lightlord is simply too good to replace. Maybe add Forbidden Healing or Lay on Hands.
Don't have Onyxia myself. Have replaced with Deathwing, Dragonlord and opponents concede as soon they see it. Also has synergy with N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
Chillmaw is very solid replacement as well. Downside, it'll wipe your board if you are holding a dragon.
She is way to slow and can't be played proactively
Sylvanas is better in a more control oriented deck. She's not as good in mid-range or aggro. Cairne just has more raw value and is more flexible than she is.
