Hello! My name is KevinStar, I'm a experienced hearthstone player. This is my first uploaded deck that did get so much support so thank you ! With the new cards from One Night in Karazhan (exept Purify) we resurrected Priest to a certain degree. So let's get right into the news...I mean deck
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
You can use Barnes to ressurect Auchenai Soupriest to use it with circle combo or even with the Flash Heal.
Be careful with Auchenai Soulpriest and Priest of the Fiest. Some people would say why run both of them but the Priest of the Feast can boost you life very high and the Auchenai Soulpriest is very important for clearing the board with your heals.
Your Nțzoth, The Corruptor will spawn more deathrattles when you resurrect your deathrattle minions. So you get more value for that
STRATEGY
- Early game: You really need to draw Injured Blademaster or Barnes. If you are playing against a zoo or an aggro deck you should considering Keeping circle of Healing and Auchenai Soulpriest.
Circle of Healing is a good card to keep becouse it has combos both with Auchenai Soulpriest and Injured Blademaster - Mid / End Game: After your minions died (ex Injured Blademster Priest of the Feast,Auchenai Soulpriest and the minion spawned from Barnes)you can start to get value from your resurrect cards.Keep in mind the board clears! You have the end game power Nțzoth, The Corruptor
MATCHUPS & MULLIGANS
-
WARRIOR - Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing,Barnes. Versus Control it is important that you dont play into his Brawl. You should get some pressure early on with some tempo Resurrection.Versus Dragon you need your board clears Excavated Evil being very good against your opponent's minions
-
MAGE - Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing,Barnes. Versustempo mage it is important to get the Pain early to kill the minions to not get beat downIt is a hard matchup but you need tomake some tempo turns.
-
Paladin -Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing,Barnes
-
Shaman -Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing, Auchenai Soulpriest
-
Rogue: -Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing, Auchenai Soulpriest
-
Priest: - Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing, Auchenai Soulpriest, Barnes
-
Hunter --Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing, Auchenai Soulpriest
-
Druid --Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing,, Barnes
- Warlock--Shadow Word: Pain, Injured Blademaster, Priest of the Fiest, Circle of Healing, Auchenai Soulpriest
You can replace 2xEntomb with 2xWild Pyromancer if you want more power vs aggro. But I think maybe 1 Pyromancer it is ok
This is a video from someone that asked me if I can post his video,so you can watch some games here:
I have modified this deck a little bit and get 74% win rate with this deck:
You can check out the sample gameplay here:
The changes I have made:
-2 Flash Heal -2 Circle of Healing -2 Auchenai Soulpriest -1 Entomb
+2 Forbidden Shaping +2 Loot Hoarder +1 Thoughtsteal +1 Onyx Bishop +1 Ysera
-flash heal = +rag ,,barnes, res ,bishop target to good to leave out yes yes!
It's really sad where priest is at this stage, everyone is playing Nzoth priest Tyrande with resurrect... It makes you, as a priest player, not want to play priest anymore. I prefer losing trying out mind control decks and Shadowform along with the the combo otk decks with Lightwell than having to wait for turn 10 N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
can we swap barnes with elise ?
Any idea versus OTK warrior? I faced 2 of them and was unable to protect myself from it (any taunt included instead of Barnes?).
Hunters are also quite hard to deal with.
Just played this deck for the first time against a Control Warrior (CW) who was constantly bm'ing. At one point of the game, he was at 25 Armor and full life.
My two Shifting Shades go down, and with their dying breaths they gift me with copies of his Elise Starseeker and Malygos (!!!). Luckily, the turn before I played Auchenai Soulpriest, and with Maly + Flash Heal I hit him for 10. :-) My next turn Barnes gives me a 1/1 Sylvanas Windrunner and Elise comes into play. The game continues back and forth.
I shuffle Map to the Golden Monkey, he's still bm'ing. I play cool - talking smack at Level 17 is for little babies. I play N'zoth, and I get two Sylvanas (plural: Sylvani?), two Shifting Shades, and my Cairne. CW plays his last brawl, which was part of my Machiavellian plan - I have an Map to the Golden Monkey in my hand, sucka! One of my Sylvanas stays on the board with Baine Bloodhoof.
I'm playing like a boss, and soon bring him down to 6 life. CW Reno's. No worries, I just laugh with carefree confidence. My Golden Monkey comes out. With plenty of cards in my hand, Golden Monkey gives me Xaril, Poisoned Mind, Malkorok, Lord Jaraxxus, King Krush, Neptulon and The Black Knight! Excelsior!
Malkorok plays, I get a Gorehowl. He hits Malkorok, but Mal doesn't go down. Next turn, I play Xaril, who gives me a Bloodthistle Toxin. Malkorok and Gorehowl hits him for 14, and with Bloodthisle I bring back Malkorok Jr. with his Charged Hammer.
Xaril dies, and deathrattles ANOTHER Bloodthistle. Malkorok, Jr. takes a hit just like his Daddy. I draw Nat, the Darkfisher and immediately put him into play, Bloodthistle brings back Malkorok for a third time. He gives me a Poisoned Blade (hey, they can't all be winners), and I dub him "Thurston Malkorok the Third". Thurston is with me until the end of the game. Control Warrior panics and takes him out Nat with a Shield Slam. With all the excitement, I don't remember what turn I played Neptulon, but he's in the mix.
At this point, we're both out of cards. I hit him with King Krush in Kold blood. He plays Malygos + Shield Slam against Krush. Silently, I pray to RNGesus"Do not let Krush die in vain." I hit CW to his face with Thurston Malkorok and Neptulon, and ignore CW's Malygos. CW is losing life every turn, although his previously played Justicar Trueheart has him grasping for straws.
Still, after all this, CW's still bm'ing. No problem - my man Jaraxxus comes out. "You face Jaraxxus, Eredar Lord of the Burning Legion!" x-D
Oh, Control Warrior plays a Golden Monkey? That's cute, you smack-talking warrior, you. But beware! The Black Knight is riding on his dark steed, and "none shall pass." Golden Monkey gets gobbled up, and Infernals start lining up like vultures at a gut truck.
At this point, the bm'ing has stopped. Oh, you're gonna crush me? I'm gonna CRUSH YOU!!!
Control Warrior is panicking. He's got five cards in his hand, fatiguing every turn. I see the cards in his had shuffling up and down, desperately looking for a solution. What's he gonna do?!
"I choose DEATH!"
For all that smack-talking, he goes down like the punk he is.
I right-click on Jarraxus: "OBLIVION!"
TL;DR Fun deck, best game I have ever played!
I just read it like a cool story and get excited :D Well Played.I dont get why people bms control players. They should bm brainless midrange and aggro decks.
shitty deck
Dude.. it's priest OFC
This is most fun i have had playing this game in a while, the deck is so fun.
I stopped putting Barnes in my resurrect decks because too often I'd get HIM back from my resurrects and the value was skewed negatively more often than not. Just something to think about.
Easy fix is not to resurrect when the % chance to resurrect him is high. Other than pray to RNGesus
Delaying the res effects is really bad. This deck is powerful when it can use the resurrects early, and dropping Barnes into the pool definitely weakens it.
i play him in my hunter deck, and allways get houndmaster
Wins against other control decks. Loses to aggro every time. This means you can expect roughly 10-20% winrate.
Have you tried The Black Knight? Same 6 Mana and Deathrattle effect. Needs luck in jousting though. I tried it once and I flooded the board with The Black Knight, winning jousts and reviving.
Ya I don't like Justicar here either. Can't figure out what to run.
Replacement for Cairne Bloodhoof?
you really want another deathrattle minion but maybe you can try Harrison Jones since you will be running into warriors and it allows some card draw.
You can also try out Justicar Trueheart
