All you have to do is follow this tips:
*Mulligan: 2 White Pawn + White Knight OR 3 White Pawns. Otherwise - restart or concede.
*1st round : SKIP !!!!! (Why? Because enemy plays 1st round 2 pawn's. Your pawn will have 1/4. It's weak minion, in this heroic you must beat him fast).
*2nd round : Play ONE White Pawn. (Why? Read 3rd round).
*3rd round : Play THREE White Pawns. (You will have right now 4 pawns, one from previous round versus 3 enemy pawns. It's first advantage in this match).
*4rd round : Use your White Knight to make some advantage. Deal with his Black Pawns or Black Rook (only if your pawns can destroy him). It will be HUUUUGE advantage.
*Always try to get double damage by keeping your board uneven (for example - 5 yours and 4 enemy).
*LEFT SIDE IS ONLY FOR MOST USELESS MINIONS (like White Pawn's) due to enemy's hero power.
*Keep your White Queen or White Rook between White Bishop to minimize the risk of their death.
*Combo White Queen + White Rook is amazing against Black Queen or Black Rook. This combo will give you amazing board clear from his big minions.
*Think TWICE or more about every plays. Think about:
-Destroying his minion and don't expose your most valueable minions to death.
-Dealing his hero damage.
*USE HERO POWER!!!
Remember that you have only 15 cards instead of 30 enemy's. Trying to control him like in normal mode is equal to death by fatigue. You have to take board presence 4rd turn. After 4rd round will be probably too late. If your enemy get's advantage after 5 round, press restart button.
If enemy will use his hero power 2nd turn - literally nothing to do here.
I beat him in my 1st try using this tips.
That's all. If you are lucky you can get lethal in 7-8 rounds. Enjoy!
Holy shit, same! So many tries
Must not work anymore because on his turn 2, he just uses hero power and then I have 0 minions going into turn 3.
"Have this starting hand exactly or concede" = the hallmark of a badly designed match.
Thanks!!! It took 10 attempts but finally the cards worked out.
Thanks for the cause of thought!
tried 10 more times just to be sure, this guide is not helping at all
doesnt work
amazing, before seeing this i tried several times and lost every time, with your system i won in the first time! thanks man!
You would have to be a complete moron to think that this is one of the best and most "challenging" encounters of this expansion. With this particular encounter you have to get lucky and the Black King has to get unlucky draws, it's that simple. There's nothing clever or fun about that, if you were to play every hand instead of restarting you would lose the majority of time, even while playing your hand optimally, simply because you didn't have the correct opener, or drew too many bishops too early, or (my favorite) the Black King drew (key words here) just okay . This was not challenging, the only "Challenge" is how soon will you be lucky.
Ex. One of my closest games, before I finally won, involved a nice curve on my part but I lost simply because he played two knights and his queen on curve. There's quite literally no skill involved here, it takes one game to understand the mechanics as well as learning to play every piece optimally and then you just continue to play until you get lucky. That's not great design at all, nor is it "challenging".
Here's how to win:
Notice the large amount of Hope involved?
Your reply is very opinionated "If this doesn't work for you, you are doing something wrong, or heroic just isn't for you". BS comment from you. This is all a luck of the draw. I have played 7 games so far and only got a pawn each card. Ni knight, no bishop, no queen or king, ONLY pawns, so of course I lose. I have beat every other heroic adventure out there so I don['t think your comment about not being for me is just.
I have found in the past, that when cards do not play right for me, I log off, wait about an hour, and then sign back in. I tend to get better luck with cards that way.
Good luck to all
Any chance someone can add me and walk me through this? I've been trying for the past 7 hours non stop and I'm tearing my hair out, I've read all the guides and watched all the videos, and I still can't do it, I either run out of cards too quick, or when I have board control he adds a tough card in the middle kills off one with his hero power and uneven the board and wipes mine out. This seems virtually impossible for me.
I think I was lucky, managed to beat him first time.
It does, I remember playing a killing as many Murlocs as possible, using Tirion before the change of hero, then playing 2 Anyfins in a row. He couldn't do anything.
C'thun Priest based around the healing C'thun buffers works. I used the 1/8 with inspire that heals you - tournament medic, as well as power wor dglory on the enemy minions, was able to bring out a 52/52 C'thun against malchezar, which killed him in one blow... one run through only with that deck. (I couldn't get anyfin to work)
There must be something I am missing here, because the every time I got to that scenario, enemy always plays two pawns in turn 1 and two more in turn 2, making a total of 4 black pawns.
EDIT: I've just seen him play only one pawn in turn 2. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough pawns to play three of them in turn 3 ;_;
Ah, ok, I was taking into account the state of the board just after my turn.
Btw, I already got it one time I got super lucky and he did hero power in turn 2, so I played 3 Pawns vs the 2 he had.
THANK YOU MAN 1ST TRY AFTER READING UR GUIDE!!! THANK YOU
it cant be true!!! :(
I still cannot believe this is possible.. I have been at it since release at least several hours a day and still cannot get close. he just clears my board no matter what i do. he ALWAYS coins 2 pawns his first turn as well. this is the only heroic boss i can't beat and it's really tilting me.
