Hearthpwn

Did anyone manage this recently? I've tried everything i could find online and also my own strategies but nothing seems to work. He always coins 2 pawns first turn,  hero powers ( first thing in a turn ) starting with turn 2, and plays a rook on 3, which i usually can t deal with because of his already well established advantage. Even when i do, and gain  board control, i can't keep it too long no matter how i play because of his hero power and huge number of pawns he plays in a single turn. And the list can go on. If someone tried it recently and found a way to win, some help would be really appreciated. It's my last heroic boss to defeat :/

 Since the release of the ability to purchase past card backs, I decided to try and fill in the missing ones I was able to get. Was missing some cards that, to be honest, have no idea where they originated. Three random monthly backs and of course, all the adventure heroics. Blasted my way through them with some fun spirited effort. Making the deck for the harder bosses was even fun. Clicking that "covert to wild" button just opened up a plethera of fun ways for each one. But then this came up. So a day later and some yelling that may have put the fear of god into my neighbors, I decided to post this for anyone who may come across it in search of an answer. I am not sure if it was changed since these posts but here's an update.. This is not chess. It is a maze. To simplify... There is only one way.

If you don't have 3 pawns, a rook, and a knight by round 4, you lose. If you get the queen after round 7, you lose... If you lose any piece before round 6.. You lose... Now here's is the one that is gonna make you break something cause it took about 15 tries and just as many mulligans. IF he plays his coin in round 2...... YOU LOSE. that's 1 in 30 for me. I hope you get it sooner. I was just going through the motions and played 1 pawn in round 1. 1 pawn in round 2. Then he did it, he did the single most important thing needed to win. He used his hero power instead of playing a coin (which would be followed with a rook or bishop). I used the strategy everyone has been saying to use. That is the only way it  worked for me and even though there will be times you can't see how you can lose,. It will be the only way it will work for you to. Cause he has twice the cards and a "remove your left most piece" ability. Even when he's drawing/playing  1 card at a time and you have total control. You will run out of cards and/or you will run out of pieces before his health is gone. So to sum up: Your first 5 cards need to be, 3 Pawns / 1 Rook / 1 Knight  AND most importantly he can not use that coin on turn 2. Good luck .

I think Blizz may have fixed this method of missing your first turn as I always lost when I did, and I played with the above info perfectly and always lost. I started with a pawn on turn 1 and the first time I did I won.
Not saying this method is wrong, but it did not work for me after 10+ tries and starting with a pawn did.

This strategy seemed a bit outdated for me.

• I did start with 2 paws and 1 knight (or 3 paws and wait to draw 1 knight). The mulligan is still very important.
• However, by turn 2 he already had 4 paws laid out.
• Despite what it seemed a disadvantage, by turn 3, I laid down my other paws so we were "even" (I did draw 2 more paws).
• On his next turn, he always plays the bishop. 
• On your turn 4, play the knight and kill one of his paws with 4 health (should be the second from your left).
• On your turn 7 look to play the queen and pray he f*cks up and does not kill it. If you manage to kill his queen or a rook with your queen, then it is game set match! 
• After turn 7, try to get your queen to deal face damage as much as possible. Use the hero power to move it as much to the right as possible (because on the left side it will get destroyed)

This is how I won this shitty match. Had a couple of tries before it somehow worked for me. I hope this will help you in any way. Good luck!

For me it always seems he has 4 Pawns on turn 2 already, no way I am getting an advantage.. 

Excellent work with the guide my man. It does take some tries. You do have to get RNG on your side, but it is doable. Following your tips does help lock down the early game, and from there it's all about positioning. A tip to others struggling on this one: You have to kill the Black Queen with your White Queen + Rook combo. Then, slap a Bishop between them. If your Queen dies first or he drops his before you can react to it, just concede, there's no way to win if your queen is dead. Good luck to you guys!

Guys, in case someone is still hard trying this boss, just follow exactly this video play steps.

I mirrored this guy play and bypass this heroic boss first try. The boss played against me exactly as against this guy in the video.

Finally finished the whole heroic adventure with almost only standard decks, Cubelock, Theo recruit hunter and shudderwock with C'Thun to beat the last final boss.

This helped me win the fight. It diverged from the video at turn 5 for me but by properly outplaying the boss you can definitely secure a win. My tip would be to always make sure they play their queen first, then kill it with a rook/queen combo.

If you mean final boss Jarraxus, you can beat him with Sacrificial Pact, Warlock :p

I got it after half a dozen attempts with this strat. I think the thing is you really have to get a big advantage after a few turns. If you don't you are just wasting your time. 

Just like the OP says, you gotta find a place to really get an advantage with your knight right away. One trick I found helpful was using the knight as a sniper and keeping him on the right side. Then I'd put a bishop next to him and he could snipe then immediately get healed up after. 

Some luck is obviously involved. I had a couple games where I got out to a lead and then they got a clutch knight paired with killing off my leftmost piece. 

Oh and you HAVE to move your pieces around with the excess mana  you have. I think that's what really makes the difference, agonizing over the ways you can minimize your losses the next turn. Usually involved moving my weakest pawns off to the left side but not always. Sometimes I used it to make sure my queen was killing off as many pieces as possible AND getting a heal.

The run I (comfortably) beat him on, I had like 3 cards in my hand when I went into fatigue but I only took 1 point of damage because his board was non-existent. There were a few times where I could have played more cards but I pulled back because I wanted to do more damage with the positioning and to play more pieces would have reduced my overall damage output.

I think that's the way I thought of it: how do I maximize damage output every turn while minimizing my losses? 

Now that it's done, I actually really appreciate the challenge of this boss. It's probably the most unique experience I've every had playing HS.

nvr worked for me - tried this for a yr... logged in today decided was time to give it another shot...but was going to play first turn this time around....beat it in one shot *sigh* rng is different for everyone ;)
