Hi there,
Heroic Silverware Golem can be finished off easily by turning his strength into his weakness, the fact he always summons 2 plates. The strategy is letting him fill his board with plates - which he does right away at the beginning of his turns - then keep those plates alive at 1 attack to deny further minions to be played by him and heal ourselves through the whole of the game mainly with Lightwells.
Mulligan for Lightwell and Power Word: Shield. Shieldbearer helps slow down the beginning of the game without killing the plates, while Shadow Word: Death helps getting rid of early knifes that threaten your Lightwells.
By turn 3 he should have 6 plates and something else down. Kill whatever the 7th minion is ASAP and focus on buffing up your Lightwells HP with Power Word: Shield and Divine Spirit and create copies of them with Faceless Manipulator. Don't use Inner Fire because plates might suicide into your Lightwells, we want the plates alive, Inner Fire is for finishing Silverware Golem off only.
Once his board is filled with plates and you have Lightwells up, all you need to do is silence the plates when they get buffed by the only 2 buffing spells Silverware golem has - use Mass Dispel preferably.
From this on you just watch him burn through his deck while you are at full health all the time. Use Mind Blast and Embrace the Shadow to help burn his health and use Inner Fire on your buffed Lightwells ONLY when you can kill him with them.
Update for Un'goro: Removed wild cards and added Binding Heal, Shadow Visions and Holy Fire. Shadow Visions provides excellent value and will help you to get a copy of a spell required to build up your healing machine, silence enemy minions or kill those pesky cutleries.
Wild cards to swap in if you have them:
+2 Power Word: Glory (cast always on a plate)
+2 Resurrect (more Lightwells)
+2 Flash Heal
-1 Mind Blast (spell damage is not really needed in this deck)
-2 Embrace the Shadow
-2 Holy Fire
-1 Shieldbearer
If this helped to defeat Heroic Silverware Golem please give a +1, cheers.
Just won with a variation on this deck. Thanks op for explaining the reasoning behind it so I could effectively replace the cards I don't have with ones I do. Other decks like this on this site just have it posted with Power Word: Glory as a core card without your switches. The post as well as the comments helped me beat it. Here were my substitutions, though I didn't actually end up using many of these cards lol.
-2 Binding Heal
-2 Embrace the Shadow
-2 Shadow Visions
-2 Greater Healing Potion
-1 Mass Dispel (would have been screwed had I not drawn this tbh, having one less meant I needed the luck with rng that I got)
-1 Faceless Manipulator
+2 Holy Smite
+2 Radiance
+1 Mind Blast
+2 Resurrect
+1 Shadow Word: Pain
+1 Eternal Servitude
+1 Power Infusion
I ended up basically getting lucky with one lightwell, two divine spirits, an inner fire, a handful of healing spells, and enough removal. Had a 26 attack and health lightwell and killed the enemy in two turns, the second of which had me start at 1hp lol. Point being, this guide tells you the info you need to beat this boss, thanks op.
A TRUE FATIGUE DECK...at no point should your minions have any attack value, until the last turn when you go face for the kill. Get him to 7 Plates on his side, if he buffs them use mass dispel, but at least one plate should always have power word: glory cast on it if at all possible.
I swapped some cards but kept the basic structure of the original deck, and had a 30/30 Lightwell (after some fatigue, damage) for the finish.
One card I absolutely needed was POWER WORD: GLORY, mulligan for this card and cast it on a plate.
I added:
Wax Elemental
Renew
If you are not listening to Disturbed Droppin Plates while fighting this boss, you're not taking the game serious enough
He will always kill 5 health lightspawns. the trick is to drop a lightspawn and Divine Spirit it straight away.
I had to restart multiple times to mulligan Lightwell, and Divine Spirit. PW Glory helps a lot when you target the plates.
Always attacks my lightwells even though they're not buffed.
Took a few tries to get the right starting cards, but once I had them this deck worked flawlessly. Thank you!
The Lightwell is killed, no matter if it’s buffed.
One shot it, thanks :v
Took me about 20 tries until I had the perfect starting hand (Power Word: Glory, Lightwell, Divine Spirit, Silence). Unless you land that opening combo and luck out to survive the +1/+1, this match is pretty much impossible to win. The rest of the deck doesn't even matter all that much -- the Faceless was superfluous by the time I got it out. Won after doubling Lightwell health twice and eventually landing Inner Fire for an OTK.
TL;DR -- Power Word: Glory is a must include to survive the first few rounds!
1st try, great deck.
2nd try
At last my first HEROIC win. You have to use Lightwell x2 and I used a Faceless Manipulator on a Lightwell with 14 health.. I had only 3 lightwells on the board and the enemy didn't attack them. The 3 lightwells healed me for 9 health each round.
After that I waited for the Inner Fire and got the lightwell 28/28.
In order for that to work you have to leave all 1/1 plates on board and kill the other plates that give bonuses (+3 attack, taunt etc) with Shadow Word: Pain or leave them on board with Silence.
PS. I didn't have Lightwell but I crafted 2 just for this fight. I hope I won't need to craft in every battle...
Thanks man! [card]Power Word: Glory[/card] saved me here ;)
tried many times but it doesnt work, my lightwell is dead by turn 3
THANK YOU !!!
Win at First try :)
Still works, 2nd attempt with light well.
Great deck. Got past it on the 2nd try!
Worked for me! I didn't have all the cards so I subbed in resurrect and onyx bishop to revive the shieldbearers. Took me two real tries (not counting the restarts when I didn't have lightweight in opening hand.
This deck was great. Got in on the second try. Had a lightwell at 42.
I didn't have a bunch of these cards, so I created a variation on this deck. Doesn't win every time, but it's fun to buff the Holy Champion into a OTK.
