The game plan here revolves about trading efficiently with the White Knight: the ability to pick your target and the fact that it has 4 attack must be used to its fullest along with the White Bishop.
Always mulligan for 2-3 White Pawns and hope that you'll draw into the Knight and Bishop. Once that happens, it's a matter of positioning.
Make sure that you always place or switch the Knight to the rightmost slot, and the White Rook (more often that not) on the middle, to tank damage, use the Pawns to modify the number of minions to an odd/even one or to an even/odd one, since you'll have the upper hand at the end of the turn.
Regarding the Bishop, placing it between Pawns is a good strategy, because it simply tanks damage while it heals your other minions. Use the hero power to switch its place from either the Knight's vicinity or the Pawn's to the injured minions, or, if need be, move it to the left-most place to sacrifice it for the attack power; in the end you need to attack, not to defend, since your resources are limited, his aren't. The ideal use of this minion is to trade and heal the Knight. Healing the Queen is a good option as well, but since it has 6 health, healing the Knight after hitting a Rook/Pawn is more important imo.
In the end, the Queen isn't used as a finisher, but as a board clear, having a Bishop between the Queen and the Knight being the target that you should go for.

After getting 3 Pawns and helping with the Bishop first because I've got that before the Rook, here's the status:
Finally, both of you run out of steam.. literally.. but.. but! You win!
I hope this could be of help, even if just a bit!
EDIT: Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! The turn one pass tactic works as well, however, think of the real chess game: Pawns are pieces that are sacrificed, in the end, even if you lose your Queen, as long as the King is alive, you can still win. Having a board is detrimetal, so I prefer to have board advantage over small damage ticks to my face, since you'll never know if he'll play a Knight/Bishop, the Bishop is the most favorable case since you can play your Knight to counter his Pawns and then go for double hits if possible. That's just my opinion though, both options work, though I prefer the one that implies board control
Positioning is the key to winning, I've used the hero power A LOT to keep my knights up before they died. You will need some good RNG draws to win this, because the first 5 turns is IMPORTANT. I was lucky to finish this guy after 3 tries because of lucky draws...
- Yes, keep the knights up with the bishop and always have the knights right-most. Make sure the knight stays alive as long as possible.
So after running out of steam and losing my matches where I played 3 pawns in the first 2 turns, I decided to try Trump's theory that passing turn 1 ends up being good:
After that it was just using a lot of the tips found in this thread. He ended up getting me down to around 12 health before I took over the board, and after that I dominated him. I didn't even have to go through my whole deck.
Of course this could have just been the luck of the draw, but having him waste 4 damage on my face while I concentrated all my damage into his pieces seems good.
This is a great tip. Got me it in two tries. Doing more damage is not always what you want, if the sides are equal you get less damage as well, allowing you to tank for longer.
Trump is a genius. Worked like a charm on the first time. Lost 5 times already without using this tacitcs, and then you came with this information. Thanks! :)
wtf man... I have been trying for like 3 hours and couldn't do it.
tried your advice, not attacking on turn 1 - WON ON FIRST TRY WTFFF
TNX
damn, took me around 6 tries :)
This is outright impossible on heroic. Basically you play and hope UI will fuck up. If human would play this Black would win 100/100 times. This is even worse than unnerfed Gothik.
did they nerfed it ? tryed it about 50 times last night, sometime getting very close but kept losing and this morning i got it first try.
I got it first try last night, but I kept losing this morning......
the bishop heal bishop move is also pretty nice. thats how i won mine. had two rooks which i switched on the healing position (left side of bishops) and a then on the right i had my knight. That way my bishops didnt die and i had infinite healing :)
Very good strat, you just have to get the top deck.
It's totally unfair, but you have to remember it is not just luck that you need to win. I got it on the 5th attempt
I have to disagree, this is prob my fav battle to date...have played it 10 times and won 8 of the 10.....yes it is RNG based but also takes a lot of planning and understanding what you have in your deck, the odds of the draws, and future positioning.
Oh, of course you did, fucking liar
What is with the hate.....I really did enjoy it and will gladly stream myself playing it again....Have now played it a total of 14 times (played for 2 of my co-workers and am now 10-4.
Got it on the first try. Just kill his pieces with double attacks for first 8-9 turns, dont let him kill your queen. Then go face.
Stupid match up. This is totally unfair the black night has double cards, the moment I gain board control I am fatiguing and he keeps killing my minions. This is a very unfair match-up.
After 30+ tries still couldn't beat him, this adventure was supposed to be fun but I am frustrated right now.
played it 10 times and won 8..... :( you can def win it just give it a break and come back
Already played 50 times and no luck I think I am a very bad player wish you could clear it for me. I think I have to forget about Card back. I also believe it's frustrating for me and there must be many people like me. They should have designed a bit fair for people like me.
Got that finally after 50+ attempts, with last card, exact lethal. Thanks for the motivation dude but I am not gonna play that again.
