choose to pay 2 overload for any minion (any turn you want) instead of the negative effect associated with it (purify) . Worked for shaman but shitty for priest? Alternatively skip the overload and discard 1 card like warlock (silence). Worst case scenario we can always taunt up and just aoe draw with northshire like we always do. 

Some considerations: Silence is better on Ancient watcher than Purify early game, because otherwise it's just like a shitty totem gollum (but in an emergency it's still better than priest early game). Purify is nicer later game on a big minion where the 2 mana isnt missed as much and the card is welcome. Eerie statue is flamewreathed faceless with purify.
