- Arathi Weaponsmith x2
+ Mortal Strike x2
Thanks for the great feedback! I finally subbed out Arathi Weaponsmith. This should give you a little more troughput lategame. You could still add some pesky Legendary like Leeroy or Grommash, but I wanted to keep it budget and it worked out quite fine for me this way.
This deck ranks very fast, I have played it from 20-13 without losing!
It is generally built around Raging Worgen and direct weapon damage.
Mulligan strategies:
Mulligan aggresively for Fiery War Axe. Keep 2 or 3-drops. An early Frothing Berserker can do wonders.
Against Zoo consider keeping a Whirlwind / Elven Archer / Cruel Taskmaster
Playstyle:
You should be able to represent at least 1 or 2 big threats every round, that your opponent has to deal with. Always try to go face. You have to finish the game before big taunts come into play! Try chipping away your opponent's taunts with your weapons to maintain board control.
Combos:
Raging Worgen + Cruel Taskmaster
Can always be paired with Acolyte of Pain or Frothing Berserker or Warsong Commander
Possible Changes:
I'm not to shure if Arathi Weaponsmith perfectly fits this deck. Sometimes it can feel like to many weapons. I was thinking about adding Grommash Hellscream and 1 Mortal Strike instead. Feel free to give some feedback!
Upvoted for the ultra nice pun in the title :D
I would suggest using a Injured Blademaster with the Frothing Berserker, Just for extra attack.
!!! DO NOT PLAY THIS DECK !!!
It is a POS. How is it voted so highly? I lost 9/10 games with this.
Congrats. You used a deck from before Naxx and lost to decks with Naxx & Blackrock. I congratulate you.
still using this deck to do daily quest. Change: -1 Frothing Berserker, Mortal Strike, +2 Execute
+1
Sorry I have to DownRate this deck :/ You can update this "On a budget" for Naxx as well, and without Execute, you can get overwhelmed by things "just outside of your hit radius" (I.E. Anything with 5 HP and you're waiting on Arcanite Reaper). Don't get me wrong, this has potential, it keeps old Meta going with Bloodsail/Warsong combo, but you need to know that the new cards Naxx threw out now need to be accounted for. Especially things like Sludge Belcher.
Me too.
i think this deck is nice for beginners, to learn some basic mechanics without investing that much dust. but this deck is facing a real hard time on higher ranks :p
I have no idea how this deck has such a high rating. I've lost so many games in a row, both casual and ladder. I've lost with this deck for about two hours straight, following directions I've read both in the guide itself and in comments. This deck is terrible, and I logged in just to post this comment and downvote it.
I just can't finish with this deck. I've gotten my opponents to very low health vs. mine and then watched helplessly as they caught up to me and beat me. I welcome tips .... but so far while there are plenty of fun combos they haven't panned out to victory.
Right, coming back to this. This deck sucks. No idea why it's so highly rated. Stay away.
I either have crazy good luck or everyone else has crazy bad luck, just played 3 games with this deck for my dailies.
I went from Rank 20, 2 stars to Rank 17, 1 star.
First game won on turn 5, second game doesn't really count, they conceded at start, third game they conceded turn 6.
Here's how this deck works:
You either get a perfect draw and absolutely crush your opponent (usually me), or you have no draw and are facing some type of taunt wall and you're just done (like me when I play this).
After 10 losses in a row I raged deleted this deck. I'm no pro, but I'm no slouch either. This deck seems like it should kick ass, but every game I found myself with a handful of cards that represented half a combo and no draw power. I really wanted this deck to do well for me, but either it's not built for the current meta or I need some coaching on it. Love to hear from anyone (other than the OP) doing well with this deck.
yeah i get rofl stomped with this deck, not good
Damn, this is fun deck! I love enrage decks, but wasn't that great at putting together one that was both feasible AND thematic.
Been using Grommash/1x Mortal Strike since I don't have a second MS, but I could see either way working well. I doubt I'll switch Grommash out if I open up a second MS even if the back of my mind says it fits the deck better... screaming into the hells is too fun
Utter garbage. Just went on a 10 loss streak against everything from control to aggro and rush. This has no draw but 1 minion, almost no control except for 2 weapons, and nothing to counter an early rush. -100 if I could
Great name for the deck lol
That's odd because I've beat Shaman consistantly with this deck so far in the Rank 3 meta.
I have to share a fun win I got with a modified version of this deck. My opening hand against a Shaman was slow, with two Whirlwinds clogging things up and no plays till a Frothing Berserker on turn 3. Most of my early plays got killed by a lucky Lightning Storm, and you do not want to play a long game against Shaman.
I started my turn 8 with a fresh Berserker and Raging Worgen, with Leeroy, Cruel Taskmaster, and 2 Whirlwinds in hand. My opponent had 2 Taunt Wolves with a Flametongue between them, making them 4/3s, plus a Stoneclaw Totem and two other small minions. And 26 life. I almost just gave up, but that's because I forgot how insane Whirlwind+Berserker is.
The lethal play was Taskmaster hitting one of the Wolves, then Whirlwind, boosting Berserker to 12/3. Then Leeroy, and another Whirlwind, bringing the Berserker to 23/2. The Wolf and the Stoneclaw died from the Whirlwinds, Leeroy took down the remaining Wolf, and the Worgen teamed up with the Berserker for 31 damage to the face.
Man, I love this deck.
I dont understand why people who have such cards as Leeroy Jenkins want to play this deck or even watch/comment this. This is clearly a budget deck for new people, beginners to help them out climb.
