Updated for new October 2016 Season!

Latest update: Aggressive changes to adjust to the absence of Zoo

-2 Flame Juggler, -1 Arathi Weaponsmith, -1 Ravaging Ghoul

+1 Acidic Swamp Ooze, +1 Faerie Dragon, +1 Dread Corsair, +1 Southsea Captain

---

Mulligan Advice

Always keep: Fiery War Axe, N'Zoth's First Mate, Sir Finley. Keep Dread Corsair if you have FWA, keep Southsea Deckhand if you have NFM and the coin.

Against aggro: Flame Juggler, Ravaging Ghoul

Against control: Frothing Berserker, Southsea Captain

Against Shaman: Heroic Strike for their Totem Golem

There's a lot of pirate synergies so keep things like Bloodsail Cultist and Bloodsail Raider when you see a good opportunity to curve into them, like turn 1 NFM -> turn 2 coin Cultist.

Why is this deck so good?

There's a ton of warrior variants out there, which makes it very hard to mulligan against. Are you playing control? Dragon? OTK Worgen? They don't have a fucken clue. So they keep cards that end up suboptimal at defending against anal penetration.

Reason number 2, you push a shit ton of damage before they have a chance to draw into answers. This makes even the hardest matchups winnable when played correctly.

Tech Choices

Ravaging Ghoul is a tech choice against zoo, which was what I was mainly facing. Nowadays there is a lot of Druid, Hunter, and Shaman so I've switched it out for the underrated Southsea Captain.

Ooze is the tech choice against the horde of weapon heavy classes, Faerie Dragon is the tech choice against Druid and Mage but also works against Lightning Bolt and Quick Shot. You can choose to run 2 Ooze if you feel you're facing nothing but Shaman and Warrior though.

New Season Update:

So far I'm 17 wins 7 losses (70.8% WR) with this deck so far, 1 day into the new August season, streaking multiple ranks at a time. The ability to go on crazy win streaks further cements this deck in my mind as a solid choice for climbing. It's probably due to the fact that you can consistently mulligan into good early game cards that all synergize well with each other. I've only had 2 or 3 games where I felt I couldn't apply any pressure early.

Anyway, there's been a lot of druids in the climb, and they always seem to have turn 1 innervates into something ridiculous like Fandral. Heroic Strike is key in dealing with their minions, and critical to look for it in the mulligan. I'm also thinking about teching in an execute, as the now-popular token druid lists run Ancient of War and Druid of the Claw. However I'm still beating them in albeit close games so maybe it's not too crucial. The ones I lost were the ones where they had innervates into god draws.

Matchup Details (previous season's results)

In my run to Legend from Rank 4 onwards, these are the notable winrates I had against each class:

Warrior - 14/25 or 56%

Hunter - 9/9 or 100%

Shaman - 9/12 or 75%

Druid - 2/4 or 50%

Rogue - 2/2 or 100%

Warlock - 6/11 or 55%

Overall WR was around 69%.
