WARNING BEFORE YOU READ THIS DECK!!! This deck wont get you to legend in 2 days (at least for now). This is a deck which is very good and competitive but it has a lot of room to be still perfected. We as a community are exploring an unknown archetype of priest on this page and every single opinion on this deck matters! What I got so far is an unusual priest list which works unusually well on ladder. With the help of the community we are improving this in order to achieve perfection. If you are here for some ez pz ladder climb then its a wrong page for you (at least for now once again). This a brainstorm of the Hearthstone community in order to create something new, something that can make priest great again. So please don't bitch in a comment section that this is incomplete or that it isn't 100% good because in reality it really is no perfect right now BUT with your help and contribution we will make it perfect.
Now please enjoy your read, guide is coming soon
Well here we go guys. After Ben said that there is a type of priest deck that is not explored yet I, as a massive fan of priests, decided to find it! After a whole day of figuring out I finally found it (i think). So what is OP nowerdays ? Tempo and aggro. Regular tempo priest is quite well known as dragon dragon priest and aggro element of priest is present with mind blasts and damage versions of flash heals. So i decided to combine these 2 together and create this masterpiece. I did not expect much from it but i played a few games and i won 37 and lost 9 for now! Most of games that i lost were entirely because of my missplays so i am sure this deck has a lot of potential. You fight of the aggro decks with your tempo dragons and you push damage on control decks with your tempo dragons! You finish them off with an easy combo and you have many of them! Win conditions are countless and no1 ever expects insane one turn bursts you can make (e.g. Velen + embrace + mind vlast + mind blast + flash heal = 30 dmg but its not the only combo! there are many more of them!) Video of me playing this deck will be up soon! Please give it a try! Its new, its fun and its potentially new meta!
Sorry of my bad english but it isn't my first language!
Nox is currently playing similar type of deck : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiavnpqnVr8
Criticism is always welcomed and I really appreciate it! This has a lot of potential and you can help us perfect this deck and create new priest archetype.
I am working on more videos and a new one will come out soon (as soon as i reach a good wifi spot, I'm on a holiday right now)
Upvotes are highly appreciated ! I will write a guide on it if i see that you guys enjoy it!
P.S. please alwas keep flash heals and mind blasts for a combo with auchnai/embrace the shadow + 1 flash heals or Velen + mindblasts

quick update! Guide is almost done, I've been experemnting a lot with shadowform and it is working great so far as well as injured + circle (which are not working that well so far tbh) so expect addition of shadowform soon.
This deck has a serious lack of something and that's card draw and removal. Priest has always been the one to dominate the cards and keep control of the board.
What are you expecting with Sir Finley? I've never even considered using it for priest. Same goes for Abusive Sergeant. If you want a strong Turn 1 play, then go for either Argent Squire or Injured Kvaldir. The Kvaldir we can heal up then on Turn 2.
In addition, the amount of removals pains me hard. So here's my changes with some explanation.
-2 Abusive Sergeant This just doesn't belong in this deck. You want to keep the tempo, but that doesn't mean trade efficiently. This ain't zoo.
-1 Sir Finley Mrrgglton I cannot see this card work, what hero power you think is better than healing with Auchenai Soulpriest?
-1 Blackwing Technician While the 3 drop is important, I had to make room for a card draw.
-1 Dragonkin Sorcerer The only buff cards you have is 2x Power Word: Shield. Very little value.
-2 Twilight Drake While this is certainly a decent card, I made room for something else.
+2 Circle of Healing, the ultimate counter for other aggro and tempo decks. If you are behind, slap that Auchenai and bam, board cleared (usually). Combos also with your hero power and 1x Flash Heal.
+2 Wyrmrest Agent. It's the best 2 drop you can get. Nearly always a 2/4 with Taunt.
+1 Shadow Word: Death, to deal with hard to remove minions or an early Flamewreathed Faceless
+1 Acolyte of Pain, simply for more card draw. This can get 2 cards and possibly kill off a minion. Value.
+1 Nefarian Alright, so, before you shoot me with this one, here's why. I removed 3 dragons from this deck. Obviously, this means that the deck became weaker with regards to dragon presence. Nefarian allows you also to gain a bit more tempo if you need that extra push. He has a huge board presence too, so your opponent will try to waste his resources in killing it. You already got 2 cards, so it's okay if he kills it, you don't care about it, cz you have Velen and double Mind Blast waiting for you.
However, your idea is amazing. It's certainly worth a try.
Wouldn't a dragonbased burst priest make more sense with Malygos instead of Velen?
The reason I have Finley is because I just really like his versitality. Warlock hero power basically wins you the game since card draw you get is very valuable and picking hunters hero power is very useful when you see you have enoug damage from spells and you are ready to go for a kill. I do agree though on removing abusents and drakonids for aoe. 2 sircles and holy nova can replace them perfectly. Now since we are running circles we need to find a way to fit injured blademaster since it's an insane tempo gain if you play it with circle. I can see removing one technician for acolyte, this makes us loose on tempo a bit but overall this is very helpful! Thank you for your suggestions I will make changes to my deck this evening when I come back home! Also I read all other comments and I definitely will respond to all of them tonight ! It's just very hard to do it from my phone
I thought of Malygos as well, but why would you have two win combo conditions that to the same thing? There is no world where you can have both Velen and Malygos up in the same turn (unless Golden Monkey > Aviana > Velen > Malygos).
Malygos will sit in your hand doing nothing. Nefarian will see play.
While the warlock hero power is a good card draw engine, you will hurt yourself in control match ups more. Let the shields, the azure drakes and the acolyte draw for you. Also, Auchenai will still give +2 dmg with hero power, which often can make a difference.
I agree with Nova for tempo, it's better than Excavated Evil for the purpose of this deck. However, here is the thing. You are already struggling fitting all these cards in that help the tempo. I would even think about cutting out the Mind Blast and Velen. You don't need them for a Dragon Tempo deck if that's your idea. Cutting those out will open more options.
You do not need to have much of a card draw engine in a tempo based deck, since you are aiming to play cards on curve and end the game at a quicker pace than usually you are used to in priest. The deck, besides the burst potential, seems rather midrangy, and Ive been playing a lot of midrange decks and none of them really had THAT much card draw potential.
You are trying to get the upper hand by tradind more efficiently than your opponent and then, when keeping the pace for a certain amount of time, you burst them down. No card draw needed, really.
deck looks super fun even though nox ditched the dragon idea of this deck and made his very own attempt at tempo priest again in his recent videos. go check'em out if you are interested in his ideas :)
Malygos also adds 5 damage if you are embraced or have auchenai
i have replaced dragonkin sorcerer and one abusive
for excavated Evil and Circle of healing.
i feel i need at least a little bit of boardclear with auchenai.
dragon priest with a spell combo burst on the back end.... if I could vote more then once you would get 20 + from me...Nice design. Pls add a mulligan guide.
As for suggestions. remove Dragonkin sorcerer, Sir finley, and both twilight drakes. Add in 2x circle 1x entomb 1x justicar trueheart Will give you much needed board clears, and consistent damage of 4 from hero power. Sir finley for justicar may need some testing just because you can get a damage hero power like steady shot and just burn them down quicker, but still needs some testing.
Wowowo seriously what a nice deck!!! These are the types of decks I want for my videos haha! Original and strong thanks love bursting people for 20 thinking i'm a passive dragon priest ;P ! Plus the Abusive's are hilarious adds I can just imagine people's faces LUL !
Haha Idk they seemed fine to me D: !
Jep, on EU it would have been Shaman -> Shaman -> Mid Hunter -> Shaman!
Maybe a Shaman instead of the Hunter...
Also I think -2x Faerie Dragon +2x Wyrmrest Agent
And I suggest -1x Sir Finley Mrrgglton +1x Holy Nova
Hope to start a diskussion
I wouldnt cut Faerie Dragons, because when you think about tempo, you also think of strong early game.
I agree on Dargonkin, but PV is one of the combo cards! I'd rather tech out Sir Finley or Twilight Drake ?
Hello Hanterbat!
I really think this deck needs the standard AOE (AS/EtS + CoH) so my suggestion is +2x Circle of Healing - 1x Dragonkin Sorcerer -1x Twilight Drake because Chillmaw is not just enough and is to expencive / late AOE.
Um, dragon priest is not a new archetype.
Learn how to read ty. You can find that this isn't dragon priest and is nowhere close to it
Also I like how you use fake identity (in this case being radio celebrity) as your profile name and you picture. It shows how sad you are :( no wonder you try to annoy someone else
It is kind of a Dragon priest...regardless of what you'd like to call it. 15 cards, or half the deck, are standard dragon/dragon synergy cards...
I don't understand how you consider this "tempo" priest. You advise keeping around 5 cards for an OTK combo (clearly not a tempo plan) and the majority of the rest of the deck is literally just a standard dragon priest; sorry it just is. It seems to me like the deck is weaker than both standard dragon or OTK priest because it's been diluted like this, especially when you consider there's no AoE at all and the meta right now is heavy on zoo and aggro.
Also Finley seems very out of place given the anti-synergy it has with auchenai, velen, and embrace.
