Question about Wild Growth vs Darnassus Aspirant. Aspirant seems better because although its effect can be negated, it costs the same and gives you board presence, and requires your opponent to take it out immediately if they want to slow you down, losing stuff they could use against stronger minions later.
Same reason Savij and other pros dont use it. I don't either, and in my small sample size, I'm 9-0 including facing aggro shaman, tempo warrior, cthun druid, tempo mage, midrange hunter, and more, albeit at crappy ranks just messing around. It's a great card if you're going to run soul of the forest and other more token focused cards, but I prefer more of a ramp deck. Power of the wild is good because it synergizes with your violet teachers, and is another fandral target. spending seven mana for a board of 1/1's is quite an investment and can be punished pretty easily, although of course getting it fandral-ed is quite nice. It's totally viable and jackiechan uses it in his deck, and surely many other good players as well. just a choice of which way you want to go with the deck. i prefer cutting those wisps for ragnaros and mire keeper and things of that nature. i prefer more of a value/midrange game to combo-token focus.
out of curiosity which ranks did you advance? just trying to see if it's viable for me
