This is the latest update to my Battlecry Shaman. I've been getting some good likes on this deck and I am continuing to refine it for the Wild meta.
Mulligan hard for Gadgetzan, Flame Juggler, Jeweled Scarab, and Acidic Swamp Ooze (for weapon classes) or Lightning storm (for Agro). When this deck loses, it is usually due to a bad early game.
Your wins will generally be after turn 10 and you will have a strong board presence with Rumbling Elementals. Faceless Manipulators are best used for copying high cost enemy minion (and hexing on the same turn), or copying your Rumbling since 4 damage will be dealt when that occurs. Try to use Evolves and Master of Evolution on your Azure Drakes, Defender of Argus, or Totems.
Most importantly, have fun and don't get too tilted when you lose. It happens to all of us.
Looks fun, but far from optimized. Jouster is a bad card, Healing Wave doesn't belong in a deck like this, Faceless is just sitting there looking stupid without enough decent minions to copy (aside from evolve rng)...
You're in wild, take the chance to run some battlecry prime minions. Where's Loatheb?!
Healing Wave has been removed (there is less Agro in wild then when I first started testing this deck).
I like jouster a lot. He is very cheap so he can often be played turn six with a Faceless copying a rumbling to get a whopping 8 points of damage. He can be buffed up to a 3/4 with Brann, and if buffed on turn 1, he is a zombie chow with no downside. Since you run a lot of high cost minions, I have pretty good success with him.
See my updated comments in the deck write-up for Faceless. He is often times my win condition (by giving me another Rumbling).
I've never had much success with Loetheb (as stalling for one turn with this deck won't usually end the game), but if I am encountering too many spell deaths, I might consider adding it. I think a second Thing from Below would be better than a Loetheb.
Very fun deck, even if I can't beat mage with it. In an early game I used Dr. Boom to remove a minion, then used Master of Evolution to turn him into a full health golden Ragnaros. Next turn I played Faceless Manipulator on my golden Ragnaros and said "Well played".
Thanks for sharing your creation, I had a fun deck versus a Reno DemonLock with it (20 minutes^^) where I snatch some good stuff with the Faceless Manipulator (I don`t want to spoil it): Gameplay
The deck should also work on standard but I fear the aggro decks will kill it sadly.
the manipulators have a few different uses. They can copy your Rumbling elemental which then deals 2 damage twice. If you can get this on turn six and put down a 1-cost battlecry minion after it (unlikely as Rumbling is a high priority target for opponents), then that goes up to 8 damage. I've also used them to copy Alexstraza or Thing from Below.
they can also be used on turn 8 with a hex to copy a big minion on your opponents side and then hex it so that you have the advantage.
Finally, they are another high-cost minion that helps gadgetzan get pumped up, and can evolve into some crazy minions.
They can sometimes be a liability, but most games I'm not stuck with them in my hand. They've copied Sylvanas, Grommash,
HungryTubby - I'm having difficulty making it work in Standard as well. I can only get up to rank 10 before falling back a bit, so you did better than me. Ultimately, the early game is a little too slow and Shaman just doesn't have a very good board clear (as lightening storm will almost never hit all opponents how you need it to to clear a board).
I am gonna try one faceless, but will also try to make mistcaller work here :)
Thats true, but he works well with battlecry minions in general (has even a battlecry himself, my idea is to play him after u played the evolve cards...)
On the other hand bomb lobber might work?
How did Mistcaller work out (I don't have him so I can't test how strong he would be)?
Not Bad not especially well either :)
Maybe i might look retarded, but what do you exactly use your manipulators for?
I recently tried working on a deck like this and after a bunch of tinkering, my deck ended up looking exactly like yours except for the faceless manipulators! Instead of those, i put in jeweled scarab and gormok the impaler. I couldn't get higher than rank 8 though. I look forward to seeing you make it higher than me!
