Fractured in Alterac Valley Cards List & Guide
As seen from stream on 6.11.2016
This is a little out of date I think. He is running Sir Finley Mrrgglton instead of Deadly Poison now.
What's the point in Sir Finley? This deck seems like a tempo/board control deck rather than a control deck.
I can think of a few reasons. I don't know exactly what Lifecoach's reasoning is, though. Check out some of his later streams with this deck to see how he actually uses it.
1. Not having enough health is a consistent problem with this deck. 2 Farseers helps, but in aggro matchups just having a hero power that can do work for you without requiring facetank could be huge.
2. Dagger is pretty bad against control
3. 1/3 body can be really good on turn 1, especially in a deck that otherwise does basically nothing on turn 1 usually
Lots of non-control decks run Finley (I'd say mostly non-control, really), so I don't understand your point about this deck's playstyle.
The point I was trying to make about the playstyle is that I've found this deck to be very tempo based, efficiently removing opponent threats and trying to keep a board as long as possible. I've wrestled control from zoo and other aggro decks with some of the strong plays this deck has. The rogue hero power is the best for this playstyle because it lets you deal 2 damage spread over two turns for just 2 mana. You can reduce the amount of face damage you take each turn by having control of the board so I feel like warrior or priest hero power are just counterproductive because your goal is not to survive for one big play, it's to constantly contest the board. Druid and mage hero powers are (generally) weaker versions of rogues in terms of tempo. I could see arguments made for warlock, shaman, paladin, and hunter but I feel that Deadly Poison does more for my game than Finley would especially with Troggs, Northshires and Flame Imps in the meta.
Maybe it's due to my matchups but I find I have no issues with control but I need all the help I can get against aggro (which I face more commonly). The 1/3 body on T1 is nice but I would rather have my dagger early game. Also my point wasn't to say that control decks run Finley, it was to say that I don't think the hero power for this deck should be changed to a heal/armor one which a control rogue would want.
Loving this deck. I always was stuck in the mentality that a N'Zoth rogue needed heavy hitters. You can get these from Journey Below instead, allowing you to play a faster playstyle. My only worry is that you would lose the control games since the opponent can just AoE down your N'Zoth board after you drop him. What's your opinion on that?
This deck is funny, but I am really bad with it. Is there any guide how to play? And I replace Violet Teacher by Sylvanas, it seems better to me.
what's the reason behind not running sylvanas? is it because you get her from journey belows? lol
I saw the stream with lifecoach when he build and played this deck. Last month i got rank 4 with my own Nzoth roque, which had Raptors and twilight summoners. Winrate was around 54% at that rank.At the 10'th in this month after 120 games, I still couldnt get past rank 14.Then i switched to midrange hunter and hit rank 6 with 57% in the end. Because of a roque quest i tried out this version of Nzoth roque. Instant win streaks. 10-1 to rank 4. Now im currently at rank 3, with 36-22 W/L.And no, hunters and warriors arent the problem. Im 10-5 vs hunter and 8-2 vs warrior.Only bad matchup is shaman with 5-6.On his stream he said this is an extremely strong deck, but in his opinion, the most complex deck he has played to date and it will not be your typical 'netdeck' deck. You cant simply copy this and expect good results. That is why i think others have bad experience with this deck.If it wasn't because i played Nzoth roque for hundreds of games last season and saw hours of lifecoach stream and play this deck, i probably wouldnt have performed as well either. To make a long story short. This is a strong deck without a doubt, it all depends on whether you can play it or not.Are you up to the challenge?
i played like 50 games with this deck and lost almost to all shamans hunters zoo locks and face/tempo warriors ....
i guess it was so apparently, got this to work vs aggro as well, but still very very tricky in the first 3-4 turns if i can get 2-3 units in this turns to live its very fun to play ;)
Where are the Snapjaw's?
Swap an Auctioneer for Harrison Jones. Needed vs shaman and warrior in this meta.
fun to play.... but every aggro deck hunt/shaman/lock destroys it... 0 taunts and almost 0 survivability
