Hi! I've been playing HS for 2 years and finally decided to complete heroic Naxxramas. Grobbulus is the one boss that I struggled to get though. He is definitely one of the toughest Naxx bosses. So after not having much success with other decks including the top ones on Hearthpwn and feeling worthless for around 2 hours stuck on this boss, I got really pissed and decided to just play Control Warrior. It worked wonders and I destroyed him on my first try, so I decided to share.

The main idea is dealing with all of his threats and starving him out of cards. You should not play greedy against him as your face is in constant danger. This deck has enough card draw to get you through his aggro assault, and he also plays the 3 mana 4-4 that gives you even more card draw. Hold on to your removal in the mid game if you have a brawl and if you can afford to, try to bait out his turn 8 combo of double 9-10 taunt and brawl right after that, but you also have executes and shield slams for his huge threats if something goes wrong. Bloodhoof brave and acolyte synergise well with his hero power, so look to just drop them on board if you have an oppurtunity. ALWAYS trade, as your late game plan is Alex, so the face damage is irrelevant. Whenever you have >2 HP minions, always trade them in to deny him the 2-2s and to simply damage his minions. Deal with spectral knights with brawls, death's bite and your minions. By around turn 10 Grobbulus will run out of cards in hand, so if you're alive by then, you've basically won. Try to get Justicar out ASAP as you're going to need that 4 armor hero power very much and because it trades well with the 5-6 buffed slimes and spectral knights. Kill with Grom+death's bite if you get a chance, but usually the game is already over by that point. Revenge is also insanely good as you're probably going to be low on health the whole game and it usually clears the board, and is also a Grom activator. Doomsayers on turn 2-3 are insanely good, later on you can play them with taunts to clear the board. Using Alex on yourself is fine as long as that helps you stabilize. Best possible mulligan is double doomsayer and a ravaging ghoul.

Have fun. <3
