I had a difficult time finding a standard deck to defeat the heroic characters in LoE.  Through trial and error, I finally defeated Heroic Slitherspear with this deck.

 

The key to success for me was to build up a Lightwell as large as I could with Divine Spirit and Inner Fire while using Silence to keep his minions at bay.  Saboteur was also useful in the early game to slow down his hero power.
