Hi, I'm Archie, currently Top 300 Legend. I want to introduce you my N'Zoth SecretPaladin list.

I: Introduction

After the release of WotOG, the only way to play Paladin has been by playing the Healpaladin and the (in my opinion weak) Divine Shield-Aggropaladin. Usually i play Hunter- and Roguedecks, but after 400 games this Season it became boring. After looking for interesting decklists on Hearthpwn (without success) Kripparian announced a kinda "fundeck" on his Youtube-Channel.
When i looked over the decklist, i thought about the idea of this deck and made some revisions. After 100 games i made the last revisions and i believe i got the "best" version of it (at least for me).

II: Strategy

The Idea of this deck is to put early boardpressure with Secretkeeper and the secrets and/or with your Deathrattle-Minions like Harvest Golem and Loot Hoarder. Also you want to make use of Redemption with any of your Deathrattle-Minions, because the used Minions have an direct impact on the game as soon as they die; Harvest Golem,Infested Tauren and Twilight Summoner summon another minions, which make (overall) 4 minions instead of 2 due to Redemption. Because of the lack of card draw, you also might want to use Redemption on Loot Hoarder for being able to draw 2 cards instead of just 1.

To secure the board control you also want to use your Weapons; with the synergy of Rallying Blade you can clear enemy minions and also buff your Argent Horserider or any other minion with Divine Shield (hello Argent Protector).

Against Control-Decks you can take advantage of their carddraw by using Divine Favor (that carddraw wins you the most games against Control-Decks).
In the lategame you have to make sure that your opponent doesn't have heavy board clears anymore (like Flamestrike or Twisting Nether) to play N'Zoth, the Corruptor. Usually the game is over as soon as you play N'Zoth, the Corruptor with any amount of minions.

Against board-control heavy decks, you have board-clears like Consecration and Equality. Don't be scared to use them just on 1 or 2 minions. Your goal is to keep the board-control! Also nice combos can be done with Wild Pyromancer and any secret (clearing the board, triggering Twilight Summoner etc.)

III: Mulligan and gameplan

Below you can find some match-specific information like what to mulligan for. This guide is based on ladder game play where you don't know the exact archetype you're facing.

In general there is no real Mulligan-Guide... It's more like we toss cards away we do not want. In general you want to keep your low-cost minions and maybe some secrets (depending on the minions you get). For example i always keep Redemption, if i have Loot Hoarder or The Coin and Harvest Golem. If you already got 2 secrets, you may want to fish for Secretkeeper.

The main problem against the Warriors is their 101% chance to get a Fiery War Axe at their Mulligan. If you get minions in your first hand, you may want to Mulligan for Twilight Summoner to have a steady board against boardclears like Brawl, Whirlwind and Ravaging Ghoul. Most of the times the Brawl doesn't even damage your board that much, because of your Deathrattle-Minions.

Against Shaman you want to to keep Rallying Blade, if you also have the The Coin. I also recommend to look for Secretkeeper and your secrets. If you feel like being in danger or if you want to play the control-style, you can think about keeping Wild Pyromancer and Equality.

This is probably the worst matchup. Most of the times you won't be able to have more than 2 minions on board and if you do, you have to trade your minions to keep the boardcontrol. I recommend to keep (but do NOT mulligan for it!!) Wild Pyromancer, if the Rogue has the The Coin in order to prevent Edwin VanCleef sweeping you.

This matchup is surprisingly easy. If you have to face an aggro-version of Paladin, then you can clear the board with Consecration and with Wild Pyromancer and any secret. Most of the times you should have the board control and if your opponent tries to kill a minion with his Weapon, you can deny it by a well played Noble Sacrifice.

Against Hunters you have to flood the board as fast as you can. You should try to mulligan for Loot Hoarder, Harvest Golem, Infested Tauren and Argent Horserider. Make sure that on turn 6 you are able to clear a Savannah Highmane with trades + Consecration or by an other play. When you are able to kill it and keep up the board control, you also shouldn't have problems dealing with Call of the Wild.

I suggest to mulligan for Secretkeeper and a few secrets. Only play Repentance when you expect a taunt-minion. If you want to trade minions, try to play around Swipe by trading your 1-health-minions and having multiple minons with 2+ health.

Most of the time you will play against Zoo. Keep 1 Noble  Sacrifice and any Secretkeeper. They will, featuring Consecration, will win you the game at turn 6-7. Clearing the board is more important than having minions on board!

Also a hard matchup. Mulligan for Deathrattle-Minions and Repentance. Try to mulligan for Twilight Summoner if you have The Coin. It's very strong against any kind of Mage.

I played only once against Priest with this deck... But expect this matchup to be 50/50, depending who gets to play N'Zoth, the Corruptor first. You want to bait out Entomb with your Mysterious Challenger and Sylvanas Windrunner. As soon Tirion Fordring is played and killed, you already have enough value for N'Zoth, the Corruptor. In the midgame try to play around boardclears by having only 2 minions (at least one Deathrattle-Minion) on board.
Try to lower the value of Cabal Shadow Priest by triggering the Deathrattle-effects with trades.

IV: Card choices & Replacements

Why Twilight Summoner over Cairne Bloodhoof?

Nowadays Hunters, Warriors, Warlocks, Paladins and Mages play Doomsayer. My main reason for Twilight Summoner is the (compared to Cairne Bloodhoof) cheap way to create boardcontrol against it.
The second reason is that if you already have few minions on board and your opponent clears the board by using AoE, Cairne Bloodhoof would stay on board with 4/1-4/3, while Twilight Summoner will spawn a 5/5-Minion.
Last but not least you already got enough cards that cost 6+.

If the meta becomes a aggressive one, you may want to consider playing the deck more control-heavy and changing cards:
- 1 Argent Horserider / + 1 Wild Pyromancer
- 1 Argent Protector / + 1 Harvest Golem

If you want to know any replacements or if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments. I will add the asked questions/suggestions to this list.
