Hey, I am playing HS since 2015 and I got Legend quite a few times. This Season I tried my luck mostly with this deck, and it worked extremely well. Thats why I wanted to share it with you!  Of course you have to be lucky with the cards you pull out of Renounce Darkness but all in all I think that you get really good cards most of the time :)

Renounce Darkness : Think when you use this card. Sometimes it is good to play it turn one(when you have many class cards in hand and go second) but sometimes and against some decks, you might need your removal and play renounce after you used all of your removal.

Tell  me how you do get on with this deck and feel free to ask some Questions. Also leave an Upvote if you want me to write a guide and tell you how to mulligan and so on :)

UPDATE: Still climbing with this deck, just reached rank 2!

UPDATE: Dropped to rank 3 due to the fact, that I faced a lot of C`thun Warriors (worst Matchup I would say, the other Matchups are you are kind favored (60/40 in most cases I would say)

UPDATE: Back to rank 2, noticedthat I am really favored against Shaman, but Warriors are extremely difficult to win against.

UPDATE: The deck is doing really well on legend(came from 3539 to 2213) still haven´t lost the fun playing with this deck

Short Guide:

This deck is played like a normal Renolock, but the only problem is, that you do not really have a win condition, that you can win with every game. Often it all depends on your luck with Elise and her golden monkey, because some of the cards that you get from renounce darkness can indeed be pretty shitty. The key is to try and survive th early game with your early game minions and the removal. Try to keep the board as clean as possible. Do not use Renounce Darkness, when you are low on cards in hand OR when you hold all of your important removal. Reno is in this deck, as many matchups can go to fatigue and I think that it can giv eyou the health in that situation anyways, even if you already played Renounce Darkness. Also, Reno is often used just before you play Renounce, as you are in big trouble agains Aggro Shaman and other Aggro Decks to die in the early turns. That´s it about the strategy on how to play that deck so now lets move on to the mulligans.

Shaman: Keep: Reno, Doomsayer,Hellfire,1 or 2 drops

do not tap too much against shaman! this could be very contraproductive! Try to get to that Reno as fast as possible, but try to do so with only tapping if you really need to.

Warrior: Your toughest Matchup if it is Control. Patron is quite easy I would say.

Keep: All of your early game cards to trick your opponent into letting him think you play a version of zoo, so he is forced to brawl.

Priest: As long as it is not Dragon Priest you are good to go.

This is th eonly matchup where you can keep a 4 drop if you have the coin(like Elise) Also, you could keep renounce darkness, as I think it is really strong against priest, if oyu get it out early and get a little lucky with your drops. BUT: Reno may not work anymore, wich is the only downside.

Warlock: 90% of warlocks on the ladder are Zoolocks.

Thats why you have to play exactly their playstile and mulligan for all your aggro, but keep Reno, like in every matchup. Hellfire is a good card to keep, as it deals with almost every early game card of zoo (except Imp Gang Boss and Darkshire Councilman)

Mage/Hunter/Druid: I do not know why, but I think at the moment these 3 matchups are the same in terms of mulligans. Keep all your removal and try to get a smooth curve.

With Coin: 1 drop 2 drop 4 drop is very good and removal is needed.

Without Coin 1 drop 2 drop 3 drop + removal/reno depending on the current situation on ladder.

Exception for this: If you face a lot of freeze mages, just make some adjustments to the deck. You need to play more cards that heal you and you will need alextrasza and Ragnaros. These cards can be key in this matchup. Altough it is a really tough matchup, it is winnable, especially if you switch to warrior with renounce and are able to Tank up with justicar.

Rogue:

To be honest, i did not face many Rogues on the ladder, as i was laddering, but I think, that  it is important to set high pressure against rogues. Do that with cards like Imp Gang Boss or cards like posessed villager, which give you otherr minions on the board to fight back against the tempo a rogue that the rogue can get. Try to remove their Gadgetzan auctioneer as fast as possible even if this means to waste cards like Shadowflame+ a strong minion or hellfire+demonwrath. Because most of the time you just lose because of the card advantage that the rogue has, because of the auctioneer.

Paladin: Mulligan for Aggro and think twice about using Renounce. It often seems better to wait with renounce way longer as you do against other matchups. If they get a decent N´Zoth against you it is over unfortunately.

Hope these mulligans help you a little bit and that you can still reach high ranks with it, as I finished my laddering expierience for this season. (Rank 1 was played with Zoolock as I was tired of switching between Rank 1 and 2 with this deck :b. But if you get used to playing this deck, you should also be capable to get as far as I did :)
