Hey Guys, my name is Guukboii and I’m a high legend player Hearthstone player from Belgium. I play for team Sector One (www.sectorone.eu) and regularly compete in (offline/online) tournaments. Besides competing I also enjoy tinkering around with decks I think could be great in the current Meta so I made a “Beast Druid” and pushed it all the way to Top 20 Legend.
If you want to keep up with what I’m currently playing feel free to follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/ONE_Guukboii

3. General Strategy
If you are interested in my card choices and how to play this deck in depth take a lookbelow, where you'll find an in depth strategy and mulligan guide.
I've written a basic "how to play", what your mindset / playstyle should be like for those who just want to pick up the deck and start playing:
- A lot of people have been asking me how to play this deck and if it's a facedeck or a control deck. So i'll try to clear that up.
- It is obviously not a full-on control deck that wants to go into the late game because it's not greedy enough for that and it lacks the card draw.
- What you want to do with this deck is take early control over the board with Druid of the Saber, Darnassus Aspirant and Living Roots.
Against Tempo decks, such as Zoo or Shaman, you want to flood the board and just get as much pressure as you can. Make trades that have good value but don’t trade too much, just put him in a defensive position where he is forced to start trading and you can just push face to eventually finish him off with Savage Roar [/card]or [card]Leeroy Jenkins
Control decks are somewhat harder to play against. You basically want to pressure them too but you don’t want to overextend into board clears. Try to have 2-3 strong minions on the board to push enough face damage every turn. But the main goal is to surprise them with a Savage Roar combo. Druid of the Claw should almost never be played in taunt mode. Either charge it when you think it will survive a turn or keep it to do it in 1 turn with Savage Roar Same goes with Druid of the Saber, if you get it later into the game. Again, make value trades but don’t trade too much because against control they’ll eventually stabilize and if you didn’t push enough damage by then you’ll probably lose.
If you have any questions regarding the deck, feel free to comment below!

im trying fandral instead leeroy, i think its good
This deck is awful. I'm behind the entire game struggling to live another turn but with no real way to win.
You dont know how to play with it
Not sure why are people complaining this deck doesn't work neither it can beat anything. They're obviously playing it wrongly/mulliganing bad. I'm on a 10-1 record as of now and lost to a Warrior who ended up at 1 hp before topdecking his garbage armor stuff. Currently rank 3.
Any replacement for Druid of the Flame and Darnassus Aspirant?
chill fam!!
donT know if i suck or what but i am stuck at rank 17 with this deck and instead of sir murrlgton im with addled grizzly and same for leeroy , using fandral. Dont know what im doing bad
You need to read up on deck archetypes. This is a fast deck. Leeroy is a fast card, so is Sir murr (Hunter damage, Warlock draw, heal/armor if you need to survive a few extra turns to get to your burst).
Fandral is a slow card. Usually you don't want to play in unless you can get at least 1 card use out of it in a single turn. So it's very slow. If you are playing this deck and going to round 20 all the time, you will lose regardless.
fandral is in this deck about the same as violet teacher sometimes betters sometimes not
Got rank 5 with this deck, thanks a lot! Through, I haven't seen other Beast druids while climbing. Lost only to Face Shamans and lucky Tempo Mage, otherwise this deck wrecks control decks if you know how to trade and play around aoe. Also it's can win against Zoo if you go all-in on turn 1,2 with Innervate and gain control over the board.
what is the win coindition of this deck?
A good savage roar to push for lethal/close to lethal damage with small/midrange minions
This deck is average at best, nothing against the OP, just that it lacks consistency. First of all the Druid hero power is good by itself alone, and with the addition of Savage Roar, and Savage Combatant, you should always want the Druid hero power. Sir Finley makes absolutely zero sense, unless you are fishing for the Hunter hero power, for a lethal. That is a desperate move, and makes the deck suspect.
Second of all, Fandral Staghelm must be in this deck, because of the synergy, and insane value he creates. Fandral will straight up win you games, but with the lack card draw, besides Mark of Y'Shaarj, and Drake, sometimes I find myself even fishing for him, and that in itself is straight up bad.
Intro Leeroy Jenkins.... Here is another card, that comes out of desperation, when you have your opponent down to 6 or 7 hp, but you have nothing on board. Again fishing for a win condition, just seems very bad to me.
Again not knocking on this deck, to be a jerk. When the deck is good, it's pretty good, but for the most part you will find yourself gritting your teeth, and clinching your fist, when you have most of your opponents down to 1 or 2 life, and they come back destroying you in great fashion, which is the case. That's the cold hard truth.
My question is, why run this deck when Shaman and Warlock run it better? I get the whole we want Druid to feel a part of the current meta, because trust me nobody wants that more than I do. I've mained a Golden Druid since beta, and it's my favorite class, in fact it's my only golden class, if that speaks for itself.
My conclusion is, with the lack of card draw, and good removal "Ancient of Lore" "Keeper of the Grove", this deck suffers, and is average at best. Maybe the OP took it to Legend, maybe a few other did too, but the majority of people playing this deck, will not even be able to cross the threshold of rank 10.
Maybe if Druids could spit out cards as quickly as Warlock, and Shaman, or had better removal minions, I could see this deck working as a top tier deck. Unfortunately, we will probably have to wait for the next Adventure, and even the next expansion, before Beast Druid finally arrives.
I think both King Mukla and King Mukla Tyrant of the Vale, might be cards to look into, that would make this deck stronger, but I'm not sure.
Like the OP said, this is not a control deck. It's a tempo/board control driven deck in the early game, that turns into a face deck in the mid/late game. You're usually trying to use a good Savage Roar to threaten 1-2 turn lethal or to establish board control.
Druid does it differently from Shaman and Warlock because of the early game ramp. Innervate and Darnassus Aspirant are in the deck because they don't lose tempo. Wild growth and Mire Keeper are bad ramp choices for this deck.
Sir Finley Mrrgglton is a flex card. You look for Life Tap/Fireblast/Steady Shot, depending on the situation. Life Tap helps against control decks once you're out of steam, Fireblast prevents face damage against aggro decks, Steady Shot puts the opponent on a clock.
Savage Combatant allows you to attack while drawing cards with Life Tap. It's more flexible with Fireblast than with Shapeshift, because you can attack two different targets. There's also the small synergy of playing Finley with the combatant already on the board
The new Mukla is a bit slow and understatted for this deck.
The old Mukla is a dead draw in the late game. It is useful for face damage/board control in the early game, though the bananas are bad once you start ignoring the board.

Thijs uses a similar deck with Fandral Staghelm instead of Leeroy Jenkins, and a few other differences. Looks quite inspiring
yup tier 3
Totally agree. Just finished a 5 game winning streak at rank 9. The key is to switch to facemode and combo with leeroy+savage roar. Those two cards alone with no board are 10 damage! Add a minion or two and a ramp and you have quite a lot of burst damage
Hard mulliganing every game for early drops.
Always have three 4-5mana minions in my hand ...
You can't "flood the board" with this deck, since all the minions in it are really weak.
It's pretty good, I feel like I could add more expensive cards to it but not sure what.
Also, why Sir Finley Mrrgglton? What hero power are you looking for, druid is good with Savage Combatant
who can i replace Leeroy Jenkins with?
Either Reckless Rocketeer or Argent Commander (I chose Reckless).
