TIPS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR GAMEPLAY:
UPDATE: This got to Rank 1 of Hot in just a few hours, thanks to you guys. This is by far the best deck to climb right now and I actually haven't lost a game with it since I created this guide ramping it from a 80% to a 84%. I'm quite sure this deck can stand at a 65% winrate in competitive play.
This is the current version of the Totem Shaman, which turned out to be far superior to other shaman decks that run Flamewreathed Faceless
Pro-Player Xixo played a variation of this deck at dreamhack and the legend player Loyan created the archetype for this deck.
It's super easy to climb with this as it can be super aggressive and you can win by turn 6 easily. It seems like Priest is actually it's worst matchup and you don't see those often on ladder.
Card Explanation:
I made this video real quick explaining how and in which combination to use the cards. It's a card guide and nothing more, but I hope you still enjoy it. Full gameplay and explanation is coming soon.
MULLIGAN:
In general you want to mulligan for your early game.
Argent Squire, Tunnel Trogg, Flame Juggler, Totem Golem, Tuskarr Totemic
As you can see there are ALOT of cards you can mulligan for, so you usually start with a good hand. There are a few decks where you want to keep specific cards in your hand to counter the opponnent sooner or later.
vs. SHAMAN
Keep Lightning Bolt or Rockbiter Weapon + your early game cards. You can also keep a Hex instead and use it on their Dr.4 aka. Flamewreathed Faceless once they play it, putting them in a huge disadvantage.
vs. WARLOCK
Keep Lightning Storm or Tunnel Trogg + Lightning Bolt most of the warlocks are Zoo and a well timed Lightning Storm just fucks em over, but be careful not to use it too early, or they'll just fill the board again. Trogg + Lightning Bolt destroys their turn one Voidwalker and challenges any of their 2 drops without dying itself.
vs. WARRIOR
Nothing special to keep, except Harrison Jones IF you techd him in. Just look for your early game and try to accelerate before the warrior gets too much armor or board control.
REPLACEMENTS:
There aren't alot of replacements to be honest. NO YOU CAN'T REPLACE Tunnel Trogg!
You can replace Lightning Storm or Feral Spirit or Argent Squire for a Flamewreathed Faceless and Harrison Jones
VIDEOS MADE OF THIS DECK:
This deck is fucking bullshit! I went from frank 15 to rank 8 (so far, in 1 day) with only 1 loss...
Is there any place for an Earth Shock in this deck? i used it last season to climb with a similar deck and It saved me so many times.
Hearthstone is consuming your time.
This is the most consistent shaman deck I've been playing, from rank 11 0 stars to rank 5 1 star I climbed with only 3 or 4 games lost.
Since I met a lot of paladins, warriors and shamans I swapped Lightning Storm to a Harrison Jones, he has won me like 3 or 4 games.
Good job!
Is taking out a Argent Squire for a Hallazeal the Ascended okay?
Tried it, it's shit
noticed a lot of variations of the bloodlust or midrange shamans roaming. so i decided to make a control warrior. So far it has 100% win rate against 7 shaman games in rank 10, if it farm shamans all the way to legend ill make a guide. How do u think this deck fairs against control warrior (variants)? i think its pretty unfavourable.
IMHO, due to shaman`s tempo, warrior goes out of removals very fast and shaman(midrange/totem i mean) can easily push him down. The most treat for me is priest. If he gets early Auchenai+COH then excavated evil its so hard to counter =/
I highly doubt it but is this deck viable without having tunnel trogg?
Just went 3-3 with this deck at level 20 (I usually end month around 12, but just haven't put a deck together since expansion). The 3 losses were my mistakes/learning the deck/bad RNG in a couple spots. Went on a 15-0 run from there to get to level 12 with 1 star. GOOD DECK!!!
lol, u symbolize hearthpwn community.
What do you mean? I can't tell if you're trolling or just being sarcastic or critical. IMO this is exactly what this community is about. Learning to pilot net decks and adapting them to your own needs and the ever-changing meta. I'm not sure about you, but lots of people have busy lives and would still like to play at a competitive level - so what itmustbeaustin was saying totally symbolizes a big part of this community. If you have a problem with that, why are you here too bro?
I like playing, but I'm not going to spend countless hours perfecting original decks - it's just not in the cards (pun intended) for me - but I appreciate all of the good work that goes into these decks and it irritates me when other people criticize someone who can pick up a deck, get wrecked a few games learning it, then pilot it on to a 15-0 streak. To me, that's what this is all about.
If you dont know how to pilot the deck maybe try not playing it!
Cheap and effective, just need to know how to trade well. Rank 6 atm.
As the guide above states, mulligan for a hex. That represents a massive tempo loss for the aggro shaman.
Great deck went from 15 to 10 this afternoon
Thanks for the deck
This deck is no good. Totens are just too easy to kill unless we pull them all together, which is hard to achieve in the first rounds. Relies too much on lucky draws to have success.
Agreed, every play is easily countered by most decks, only wins with perfect draws and opponent being unlucky and not getting answers
This deck is absolute garbage lost 6 won 1 at rank 4 and no im not a bad player this deck is just that bad
