Intro:
I'm dpsimi I've been playing aggro warrior since first getting Legend with it in season 4. You can seem my other lists. I've always play aggro Warrior until rank 5, but I've usually switched to reach Legend. Finally, Blizzard sent some cards our way so let's do this.
Thoughts on Standard:
What held this deck back previously was the sticky minions like Haunted Creeper and Piloted Shredder. These cards ruined our efficient trades with our weapons. Warriors also lost Death's Bite, which made Dread Corsair Free and served as an activator for Grommash Hellscream.
Thoughts on WotOg Cards:
Blackwater Pirate and Malkorok are too slow for Pirate Warrior.
Bloodsail Cultist has two requirements to activate, but the stats are solid
N'Zoth's First Mate is pretty useless outside of the first 3 turns similar to Cursed Blade so we'll only run 1.
Bloodhoof Brave is FANTASTIC. Usually will regain board control or get enough of a footing to get in some damage before our end game burst. Also serves as an activator for Battle Rage.
Ravaging Ghoul - is a Very versatile card. Solid 3/3 for 3. Activates Execute, Battle Rage, and clears a board of 1/1s.
Mulligan:
Sir Finley Mrrgglton, N'Zoth's First Mate, Alexstrasza's Champion, Fiery War Axe, Faerie Dragon.
Heroic Strike- if you don't have any of the cards above.
Azure Drake - if you have Alexstrasza's Champion
Gameplan:
Fight for board control through the early game. Hit their face once you have board. Frothing Berserker, Bloodhoof Brave, Kor'kron Elite should get in some damage, and finished them off with Arcanite Reaper and Mortal Strike. You should be winning around turn 8.
Tip: Count your damage. Set up for lethal 3-4 turns in advance. Know what your opponent can do and prepare for it. Plan ahead and don't waste your spells. Know your limits, your options, and your potential draws.
Cards to Consider:
Abusive Sergeant is powerful with our chargers
Blood To Ichor vs Mid-Range
Slam vs Control
Argent Horserider is a solid 3 drop makes the deck more aggressive
Dread Corsair for a tempo swing
Spellbreaker for Silence
Captain Greenskin for Upgrade! plus body
Cards to Replace:
Upgrade! requires a weapon.
x1 Mortal Strike is very weak draw early
Sir Finley Mrrgglton Picks:
Tier 1: Mage, Warlock, Hunter - each can be better than the other based on situation
Tier 2: Druid, Priest
Tier 3: Rogue, Shaman, Paladin
If you don't have Sir Finley Mrrgglton replace with Blood To Ichor
I won't answer anything that is in the writeup
Trying out -Amani Berserker -Arathi Weaponsmith +N'Zoth's First Mate +Captain Greenskin. Currently Rank 2 after going 22-5 (81%) from 6 to 2.
C'Thun Druid 1-0 Mid Shaman 2-1
Tempo Mage 2-2 Zoo Warlock 2-0
N'Zoth Pally 0-1 Patron Warrior 5-0
Dragon Priest 1-0 Control Warrior 4-1
Miracle Rogue 4-0 Mid Warrior 1-0
Me to Bro!
What are you having trouble with?? I'd love to know what decks people are having problems with
Easily completed my 5 win quest plus I had a sneaky win streak. Thanks
This is a great deck. Just tried it at rank 17 vs a fatigue warrior. Had him at 3 health by turn 8. On turn 9 he surrendered, but I had a Arcanite Reaper already played so he was done anyway. The turn 2Alexstrasza's Champion was devastating for him. Great speed in this deck!
Only if that priest draws perfect like the one I just played lol. I'm at 50% right now but only played 8 games and have lost against pretty much what the guide says. I feel my meta might just not be the right place for this but I have the warrior quest today so I wanted to burn through that before switching
I struggle very hard against heal priest and aggro shaman but as written above the winrate of DPSImI is pretty decent against those decks. But I nearly always lose against them. I'm not a very experienced HS player and I play this deck only since 1 day so I'm sure that I make many missplays. But my winrate against other decks is pretty good. Only against heal priest and aggro shamman I always lose. So can anyone please give me a few tipps for those decks. Thx very much
My experience with this deck so far has been to get just a tiny bit ahead on board, so they can't completely clear on their next turn, and then to start going for the kill. Afterwards You can either use your weapons to stay slightly ahead or to keep up the face pressure. Good luck!
After going from Rank 20 to 10 yesterday with this deck I find myself facing many non-Druid/Shaman decks today, would it be possible to get a in-depth guide on how to efficiently deal those other decks as you seem to be doing quite well against them?
(Zoo, Pirate/Aggro Warrior are pretty straight forward, I'm more interested in Rogues, Paladins, Mages and slower Warriors)
Yeah I've been meaning to do an in depth guide and video showcase, but I had finals for the past two weeks and for the next couple of days I'm in Vegas.
Rogues dont have any heal, beside one earthen ring.So really just go ham. Play around backstab and si:7.
Paladins have loads of heal but they sacrafice tempo in the process(except for rag light). Just keep up the pressure and dont over-extend once they have 6 mana. Kill their turn 2-3 Doomsayer.
Mages really depend on their hand. Mirror Image is a killer here. Pretty much every time I face a tempo mage it either becomes a race or down to top decks. Freeze Mage just go face they usually dont want to waste spells to freeze our weapons.
Control Warriors you just need to play around Brawl. They dont have death's bite anymore so they cant clear our minions quite as well. Fatigue Warriors are a losing matchup. They just gain so much armor, basically you either blow them out or you need to wait to upgrade Arcanite and try to steal a win :/
Sounds awesome, can't wait for the guide and video, feel free to throw in as much footage as you like.
Thanks for the tips too, I did make the mistake of playing the early control game with Rogues and Mages, sometimes even Warriors, I'll try using my resources to hit face more in those encounters.
Just wanted to confirm that hitting face harder against those classes does work.
Also I've replaced Amani Berserker with Gorehowl as the little guy never helped me in any situation.
wasted dust

nice deck bro 9-2 so far
This standard tempo warrior deck is great for the current meta I am facing which is mainly face and control decks. I think the 4 dragon cards is great, making up almost 1/6 of your deck, your odds of drawing one for the champions ability is pretty good, and not overwhelming to where you feel like your hand is just useless dragons. I really only have used execute in 1 of my last 8 games, I swapped it for a brawl. This deck has been good to me so far, hopefully the meta doesn't shift for a while.
Haven't found this to be amaz-balls. Sorry, it's so-so.
Great Deck!
This deck has a really good win rate for me. It is helping a lot with the million face shaman decks I'm facing.
Yeah only problem is the damn taunt druid...
You can change Amani for Spellbreaker bro :D
