Hey guys its FR0G, *NOTE* I play on the NA server
Currently Testing still with the release of Karazhan
Please Up Vote if you like the deck :) Thanks!
Thanks man! Everything you said is true! I'm so glad that there are people like you that get it! This deck really requires some thinking and planning ahead to be effective. If played right can be super powerful, if played wrong, can just be a super confusing deck and would make some people wonder as to even why it should even exist.
Hi luigi68,
Although it seems in general that you are always waiting for said cards, you should really be analyzing your opponent from the get go. Soon as you see their class, should make a decision, what archetype are they of that class. Are they agro? Are they Control? Are they Tempo? Make a decision, then plan ahead. Think about what you would expect from what you have blindly decided upon they would be. Think about how you would respond if opponent played something on X turn. Think about your possibilities. You don't always have to fully clear their board each turn. Try to predict your opponents next moves. How would he/she respond if I made this play on this turn. Should be setting up for a string of plays and let your opponent react to You and not the other way around. Always think of your win condition. You cannot Always make defensive plays because eventually you will lose this way. A lot of times you will have to make plays that give your opponent options.
i.e. 'If your opponent doesn't kill one of your minions, he/she might die in their next turn. Now their choice is either gamble for their own faster lethal option or will they try to stabilize for a better chance at lethal.' Giving them options like this will generate more chances that your opponent might make mistakes.
As you should be calculating your opponents damage and possible damages, these calculations should influence you on the plays you make. If you know your opponent will highly likely have lethal or is showing lethal, then your decision is simple. I hope this helps at least slightly. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the deck. What changes would you make to make this more viable for Wild?
Hi Dahuong,
Heres the link to my current wild version of Reno mage.

I'm missing some cards so I replaced some of them. What do you think of this half-cheap deck? Many thanks!
Hello
Do you think Stampeding Kodo is better than Defender of Argus ? since it can deal with a lot of annoying cards like Imp gang boss, Flamewaker, Bloodhoof brave, brann bronzebeard, acolyte of pain, darkshire councilman...
I don't think so, if i had to choose between the two. They're both good, but they're both situational. Especially Kodo. If you against zoo, they probably have too much other less then 2 attack minions on board for you to pin point a target, let alone if you can even afford to play kodo on curve without having to do other things to deal with the situation at hand. I would suggest getting rid of faceless summoner for Kodo.
Hey, me again. Im wondering if Thaurissan isn't too slow in an already pretty slow deck, in the games I played, even playing him out on turn 6 didn't give me that much of a comeback opportunity when losing and when winning it basically secured a game I was already gonna win. Maybe Sylvanas would have a bigger impact then him. I haven't been seeing Thaurissan too much lately, more in gimmicky combo decks an such. Anyways, I may sound stupid but eh.
Cheers!
Hi Blue,
You are right in a way. But Emperor is essentially a soft taunt. It effects your opponent's tempo, and psychologically. It can set you up for big plays, or if the situation doesn't seem to require him, then you can just not play it. Its just a optional tool thats there in case.
Okay! Thanks man, I'll be putting in a pyroblast or Elise instead of him :)
Cheers!
hey Frog, I've been following your decks for a while and would be great to be able to see you put them to good use, can you add me? Hamedog#1264
Hey man just played against you around rank 3 with priest and tried to add you after but you didn't accept. Just wanted to tell you I climbed with this deck and thought it was really good although Priest is really hard matchup and I seem to struggle against druids as well. I noticed you made a couple changes adding in argus specifically. It's a nice deck though, GL
OO thanks a lot man! and sorry about the add thing, my list must be full again, i didn't receive anything. Whats your btag, ill add ya
haha all good I figured was prob something like that. My tag is Thrasher#1485 though
Hey fullmetalpass!
Tony is a big deal, if you're interested in playing mages seriously, id strongly recommend in investing in Tony. However for now, the only other finisher I could recommend is Ragnoros. You can try out Elise as well. Rafaam is Way too slow.
Hi Hakase_tdp,
Depending on what you think you need more, card draw or the early spell power, you can choose between loot horder or Cult Sorceress. I'd probably value the card draw more. I am using refreshment vendor because he's got a good stat base for 4 drop and cult Apothecary, I originally was using him, however i found him to be too inconsistent. Too situational, and over priced for 4/4 body. Its basically a card you can really only benefit from if you are behind already. And if a zoo has a full board, and you heal with this with bran, next turn he'll just knock you back down anyways. However, I still do want to use him, just no room in the deck. Currently I am testing many cards with this deck, I'm looking for higher stated minions that will trade very well. Turns out we lost A lot of 4 attack minions that aren't 5+ mana.
I have not, mainly because I do not see the point. All my current 4 drops, and the ones I would like to use has immediate effects to help me. Water ele Freezes and is huge, Refreshment Vendor Heals, I would like to use Senjin which is a good taunt, Elise is just a body, with no benefits for me probably ever in most match ups, and the only possible benefit it can provide will come who knows when?
Maybe it's just me but ever since Tempostorm posted the meta (aka, what everyone plays now) I'm having horrible luck with this deck. It's just too slow compared to the stuff on there.
I'm actually missing explosive sheep. There just aren't enough board clears to deal with the warlock/shaman constantly throwing minions on the board.
You really shouldn't be having any problems vs Shamans and Warlocks Especially vs these two classes. You have More then enough board clears, Heals, And Tradable Minions to make these match ups highly favorable for you. There has to be mistakes in your line of plays most likely rather then a lack of Clears. Can you explain to me what you're mulliganing for in the beginning, and can you describe how your games usually start out?
I'd say mulligans are probably the weakest part of my game. Usually I just stick with low(er) cost cards but I don't really have a set idea of the specific cards I want.
Games start out with me pinging whatever my opponent puts down but I can't keep up with all the minions they place and eventually I'm overwhelmed by them. Then bad luck happens and I never draw a board clear. I've gotten killed so many times turn 4-5.
This could definitely just be a string of bad luck on draws since I don't really play all that much (5-6 games/day usually). If it's still working for you, that's great since this is still my favorite type of deck to play. I'm really not a fan of the "meta" decks and I'd much rather play something fun like this or murloc Paladin.
