Dog's Deathrattle Rogue!
Too slow, too weak. If you Argus it, it's a 2/2 with taunt, sure it brings a 5/5 but you might be just dead the turn after when you needed a bigger minion to taunt or simply more power right away. Twilight Summoner is a decent choice against heavy control decks but I just don't like it in general. The only match up I would play it over Tomb Pillager is control warrior because of Brawl and even then, you can just play around it.
Might be just me but I think eventually people will play something else.
Edit: Even when you bring it back with N'Zoth, the Corruptor it's bad, when you play N'Zoth you are hoping to get enough power on board to kill your opponent the following turn, 1 attack is just not enough.
For the body first and getting a 5/4 right away with N'Zoth, the Corruptor, the coin is just a bonus so you can sometime get value off of toxins or a 1/1 copy of Shadowcaster earlier. Another thing that makes Tomb Pillager overall better imo is that there are a lot of Shaman out there since the release, Earth Shock and Flamewreathed Faceless are all over the place. But make no mistake, even with Tomb Pillager, SMOrc Shaman is pretty hard to deal with. I've added one Assassinate and two Shadow Strike to my list just to counter it a bit better. The biggest flaw of this deck is the lack of heal. Probably worth trying Cult Apothecary or adding a few taunts if the meta is way too aggro.
it synegizes so well with shadow caster, or raptor. Sure it's a tempo loss, but then you regain max value when you combo it. Opponent usually don't dare to pop it so it gives you max benefits to play your combo cards. I'd say it's a MVP in any death rattle rogue deck.
It's not that it's "bad", it's just not at good as tomb pillager for the play style. Pillager is a lot faster and gives you a coin which is perfect for combos and extra mana in a rogue deck.
This deck is sh*t. Please delete it, do not mislead people.
mad cuz bad. :c
A number of spells for vancleef... dependent on what you're facing... And for Bloodhoof I guess another good deathrattle if you can find a non legendary 1?
Played a ton of this last night and today, climbed from rank 15 to rank 6 currently. Seems really cool but lacking in single target removal and draw in long games. I made some changes listed below to be better against the endless control C'thun/Reno and new shaman decks.
- 1 Sap - Good for tempo swings, but against control sometimes the value loss hurts you more than it helps.
- Edwin VanCleef - Seems bad in a heavier, minion-based deck like this.
- Xaril, Poisoned Mind - I honestly just don't have the card, but it doesn't seem that important either.
- 1 Shadowcaster - Strong but situational.
- Loot Hoarder and Earthen Ring Farseer - replaced the draw with another FoK, Farseer is just opinion I actually think it's a good addition if you lack another one of the cards.
Added in:
+ 2nd Fan of Knives - Imo needed badly against the shaman matchup.
+ 1 Shadow Strike, 1 Assassinate, 1 Sprint - all 3 help a ton against control decks.
+ x2 Tomb Pillager - just a solid card, essentially a 3 cost 5/4 in terms of overall value, synergizes nicely with Nzoth and shifts the curve a little higher.
If aggro becomes prevalent again I'm sure some of these changes would have to be reverted but currently this list is doing extremely well.
I know he was facing A LOT of other semi aggro rogues and ALOTTT of aggro shaman (who isn't?) so that could be part of it.. And ironically when you think about it, the 2nd shadow caster is a lot more consistent/worth-it if you're running Xaril and Edwin. Edwin is always debatable in any non 'miracle' or 'combo' style deck, but Xaril seems like it's worth crafting from everything I've seen.
I disagree with the sprint personally but mostly because no preps and I face mostly aggro lately, and sadly Fan of Knives isn't as good anymore with aggro shaman having so many weirdly high hp minions now :/
If you think taunt and aoe is the answer to everything you shouldn't play a midrange deck.
What's ridiculous is your spelling
Also I mean did you ever consider the problems you if a lot of others are doing well with it... Including Dog who used this and his miracle roguee to like top 50 legend?
