Twitter: OS_TophatDemon ( HIT ME UP ON TWITTER FOR COACHING OR ADVICE AS MY FRIENDSLIST IS NOW FULL)
Battletag: TophatDemon#11515
Aprox. Matchup Favorability:
Warrior (C'Thun/control) - 40-60
(Although the C'thun is more 45-55 due to the lack of as many clears)
C'Thun Druid - 70-30
Control Priest (any variation)- 30-70
Freeze Mage - 20-80
Tempo Mage- 60-40
Aggro Sham- 60-40
MId Sham - 55-45
Pleb Decks(Meta has not fully developed) - 75-25
HOW TO PLAY:
This is Zoo! Fight for board control then once you have it, keep it. Kill most high-level threat minons such as Tunnel Trogg or anything else with may pose a future/escalating risk and keep going face from there. This deck comfortably wins games by turns 5,6,7,8 Depending on draw.
MULLY:
VS AGGRO:
Get that early game baby! Flame Imps/VoidWalkers/ Villagers/Dark Peddlers are instant keeps. If you have a good hand curve and/or the coin, Spawn/Imp Gang/ Dark shire (although you really only want to keep darkshire if you can afford to keep ritual or have a lot to play) THE KEY THING HERE IS TO GET MINIONS THAT MAINTAIN BOARD DOMINANCE, You need to ALWAYS KEEP things that either already synergize (knife juggler + 1 drops) or that are super sticky (like the aforementioned Imp Gang Boss). If you might be against another zoo deck and have the coin, Sea Giant wins you the game so always keep.
VS CONTROL:
This is your unfavored match up if it's against Freeze/Control warr/Or priest but IT IS WINNABLE if you just keep calm and collected. Here you REALLY NEED Instant threats and board presence like FlameImps/Villagers/Peddlers (for options or just a turn 3)/Imp Gangs to establish and keep control of the board. SEA GIANTS ARE CRUCIAL here and are very good to keep with the coin as the sooner you play them the sooner you can win (REMEMBER BGH WAS NERFED). Also this is when Councilman shines as you can instantly start buffing him and HITTING THAT SWEET, SWEET FACE before they armor up or are able to clear your board.
KEEP YOUR CLEARS IN MIND :
Don't play into nova+Doomsayer, Holy Nova, Revenge, etc UNLESS YOU HAVE ENOUGH IN YOUR HAND TO RESTOCK. Greed gets you killed here. If your board is fat and you have a few minions that are relatively unchallenged, don't dump your hand just to have a full board because when they clear it and you can't refill: YOU LOSE.
Hope this helps you guys out. Feel free to comment (I try to read every single one) or follow/hit me up on twitter( @OS_TophatDemon) for anything else. Love y'all <3 .
Stay Legend.
CHANGES:
-1 FLAMEJUGGLER/+1 LEEROY
-1 SPAWN OF N'ZOTH/+1 GORMOK
POSSIBLE CHANGES : -1 RITUAL/ +1 ABUSIVE
THIS SHOULD BETTER YOUR CHANCES AGAINST THE EVER-INCREASING CONTROL META
Honored once again <3
Another top deck on HearthPWN gj <3 !
I took out one Flame Juggler for Gormok the Impaler, what should I remove for Leeroy Jenkins?
I adding Leeroy for 1x Spawn of N'Zoth.
ritual or a councilman depending on matchups you've been getting
I've been losing to control priest / warriors mostly since i climbed to rank 5, usually I'm not able to close out the game due to big taunts. Which would you take out in that case?
What do you think about adding The Black Knight to this deck? The C'thun taunt minions have been giving me issues.
What about Harvest Golem ? It seems nice instead of Spawn of N'Zoth since it's a sticky minion.
Spawn of N'Zoth has won some games for me. Opponents tend to ignore it, and the +1/+1 helps to survive board clears. The problem is the fact it's a 3-cost and that makes it compete with Imp Gang Boss, so it's kinda slowish for a Zoo deck. I'm thinking of dropping one in favor of a Gormok the Impaler, but I wouldn't go Harvest Golem.
This is a great deck, councilman is just too stronk.
Forbidden Ritual has great synergy with Darkshire Councilman. But one awkward thing is if you play Forbidden Ritual you can not play other cards, for example Sea Giant and Reliquary Seeker
There are instances where you can still play Sea Giant or Reliquary Seeker though. Example if he has 4 minions on board and you have 1 or 2. You could flood your whole board with tentacles (Forbidden Ritual), kill off one of your minions (so now there's 10 minions) and play the 0-cost sea giant. For reliquary seeker, you could use a coin after FR if you still have it in the later turns.
Overall, I really like this version of Zoolock :) I had an 11 atk Darkshire Councilman before. This paladin cleared my board and left my 5/1 Darkshire Councilman. He had 10health, so I just casted Forbidden Ritual and bam, lethal.
5-0 so far, thanks for the deck!
Great deck, thanks!
Do you consider adding Gormok the Impaler?
Solid deck. What do you think about switching 1 spawn for brann? And 1 flame imp for another argent squire to avoid burning yourself too bad? People seem to lose their shit when they see brann and this deck probably has a battlecry for him most of the time
Hi Excavated Evil
Not enough Priests on ladder right now, or I'm just not encountering them. Even then, I've wrecked almost every priest I've encountered. Holy Nova doesn't matter. Excavated Evil doesn't matter. This deck just swarms out. I've won through three board clears and several taunts.
This is probably the best Zoolock deck I've ever used.
Wow, SHOTS FIRED!
2 Forbidden Rituals feels like too much it often ends up being a dead card in hand due to having to play around so many board clears in the current meta. Also Bilefin Tidehunter and Razorfin Hunter are interesting considerations as often times a good knife juggler swing or a big councilman can end the game quickly.
Ritual is a must due to the instant board swing it provides. If it feels like a dead card it's because you don't need it yet. If you don't need it yet, than you are winning the game.
