Add some Freezing Trap and Shaman will sit there and scratch their head as you run circles around them.
Too slow. I had the lowest success with this of all the old Gods decks I've tried so far. I think hunter just lacks the heals, card draw, and board clears to play such a slow deck.
EDIT: It's not too bad against non-aggro match-ups though.
I don't know why this comment is being downvoted; he's absolutely right. The early game curve on this deck is wretched. You need to mulligan perfectly to win, and that's difficult to do with only 4 2-drops.
So right now i've subbed out knife juggler x2, fiery bat x 2, 1 eaglehorn bow, and 1 strangle thorn tiger for
1 gladiators long bow, 1 more forlorn stalker, 2 huge toad, 1 harrison jones, and 1 deadly shot. I have successfully climbed from rank 18 to 9 in 1 night. but I feel like I'm not really getting much card value from the harrison jones battlecry. I want to swap him for cairne bloodhoof. I feel like he will stick around longer, plus more deathrattle synergy with huhuran and n'zoth. Which may I add n'zoth has literally won me a handful of games. Thoughts with this setup?
I think the idea to swap harrison for cairne is good. I dont have nether, sadly. I switched the longbow in for an call of the wild and i like this card really much here. So i think its a very solid setup
Went 12-3 and reached rank 5 today with the following modifications:
Also thought about cutting the Forlorn Stalker, but they really prove their worth actually.
-2 Knife Juggler -1 Eaglehorn Bow
+2 Huge Toad +1 Forlorn Stalker
Forlorn Stalker doesn't have enough targets to be reliably good. I'd definitely replace it with The Black Knight due to all the Twin Emperors running around.
I'd also recommend switching out N'Zoth for a single Gladiator's Longbow. Having a third weapon is good and it actually does something in the deck instead of sitting in your hand all game or having no impact.
I decided to cut 1 Knife Juggler (just one for comboing with Unleash seems fine) and the Stranglethorn Tiger for 2 Freezing Trap. Even without Scientist pulling them for free, it's still an insanely good card. That may just be personal preference though. The other Knife Juggler might become a Huge Toad in the very near future.
Gladiator's Longbow feels perfect for hunter because it has a aggressive nature, but the "immune" it gives you allows you to kill dangerous minions for free in close games.
I feel like the strongest parts of Hunter decks in the new expansion is how good its late game is. It can repopulate the board instantly with Call of The Wild, and N'Zoth.
It wouldn't be as powerful definitley, but still playable, I would probably add in another hunter's mark due to the amount of big minions in the meta right now.
The most awesome thing is, that the Infested Wolf spawns beast spiders!
I personally like Tomb Spider or Ram Wrangler over Forlorn Stalker :)
I tried the deck out a couple games.. 0-2 in casual :/ first game was lost to a similar hunter with a perfect curve though to be fair. I will keep testing
I dropped Forlorn Stalker for a Stampeding Kodo and its come up clutch against shaman. Its also a good target for the Houndmaster buff
Great Deck, thanks for posting. I'm 7-1 with it so far. I swapped both knife jugglers with 1 huge toad and 1 freezing trap. Knife juggler just hasn't been useful for me at all. He either requires me to hold him for unleash instead of playing it on turn 2, or i just play it as a 2/2 and use unleash by itself later.
*Edit : Just went 15-2 with this deck all the way to rank 7!
Pretty fun deck, I swapped -2 Knife Juggler for +2 Huge Toads based off some of the earlier comments. For a little more Beast & Deathrattle synergy. Thanks for the making the deck. Would love to see a small guide and update.
Went 9-2 in my first trial, lost to Tempo Mage and C'Thun Mage
If you think this deck is terrible you're probably playing wrong..
Love it!
-1 Stranglethorn Tiger
+1 Harrison Jones (I've been running in to a lot of doomhammers)
Replacemente for Princess Huhuran?
I crafted it, because I dont think that there is a decent replacement. Feign death comes to mind though
