This is the druid deck that Gaara used @ Dreamhack Bucharest 2014.
Gaara did take first place in this tournament using this deck and the hunter deck he worked up with Kolento.
Gaara went undefeated in this tournament up until the finals, where he went 3-1.
This is a "ramp up" style druid deck, and had a record of ~44-7 according to Gaara in an interview.
Gaara plays this deck EXTREMELY conservatively, and stated that he is adamant about using his Ancients efficiently, and not let them just rot in his hand.
(Updated this deck, all 30/30 cards are now completely known. Announcers said during the finals that he ran two Starfalls, but per the known casted games, this is unfortunately not correct.)
Expect to see this deck all over the rankings by tomorrow. :) Thankfully, 90% of those players will misplay it too.
Don't get so ancy people. If you watched the thing. His Hunter deck is what carried him to undefeated and made the blizzard forums up roar about how OP and "how bad I think" UTH really is. And the results of a undefeated hunter deck in Dream hack maybe the push it needs to get a nerf.
He used the hunter deck all of twice in the tournament I believe...It was this druid deck that carried him, not the hunter deck.
such a wrong statement.
He went all-druid undefeated until the finals, where he got his first loss to a bad-matchup shaman deck.
Nice built
first ramp druid deck i've seen without Rag lol. What is a good replacement for Cenarius?
Ysera would be the go-to replacement
I unfortunately also dont have ysera yet. Ican get her f I DE my "trash" legendaries but i dont think ill be doing that soon. Would rag be an okay replacement or should i just use the slot for something else?
Rag is totally fine, too.
wont this have issues with aggro decks with the lack of senjins?
Gaara took game one of the Dreamhack finals against Daniel's Aggro Warlock.
As with any situation that can have RNG results, he does show provide an example of solid control against an aggro lock:

One has to admit that he got quite lucky with the RNG though. First off he had the coin which is quite important in the matchup, secondly, he had a very good anti-aggro hand with the WG and the two Wraths and even drew the DotC when needed. The lock on the other hand didn't play his Shieldbearer (for whatever reason) and pitched the Doomguard with the Soulfire. From that point on, it snowballed pretty quickly.
When he was asked how he deals with things like zoo with this deck, Gaara said that he hasn't lost to zoo once. I doubt he was just boasting.
i'm trying this deck now, and it feels iffy against midrange hunter so far. Is this deck suppose to be good against midrange hunter? any tips against them?
I don't have any direct tips for the Kolento hunter directly using this deck, I can provide an example of it being used against a midrange hunter as it beat Amaz's deck in Game 1 of the Semifinals.

Unfortunately for Amaz he had a very unlucky tracking, but you will notice how Gaara plays against the possibility of a second unleash, as you would. Also unfortunately for Amaz was that he never drew a Highmane, which would certainly have modified gameplay a bit in the matchup.
Good luck!!
From my experience it is a 50/50 matchup. You can offset bad draws with good plays, but only to a certain extent. Your ideal board at all times is: Hunter 0 minions, Druid: 2 minions, at least 1 with taunt. Not more, not less, exactly this.
The deck works pretty well vs midrange hunter. The key is to make the hunter burn their hunters marks, deadly shots, and kill commands before you drop your ancient of wars. Once theyve played these cards it makes it very tough for them to deal with your big taunts. Starting hand vs hunter id keep wraths innervates and keepers. Also yeti if you have an innervate as well. Keepers can be great though especially if they drop animal companion and get huffer.
evrything you have is what i also got out of this tournament however after i thought i had it the announcers did say he ran 2 starfall. i dont get it lol
Yea, it tricked me up extensively as I tried to compile this deck.
Thanks, pushed me from rank 7 to 5. Have some trouble with hunter and handlock. Seems to do very well against everything else. This deck just blows shaman out of the water and does well vs Turbo Mage.
