Hello all! First ever deck build.
This is a very, very greedy deck, purely based on the hope that the WoG meta is very control heavy.
2 Win conditions.
1) Deathwing, Dragonlord Hence the heavy amount of Dragons,
2) N'Zoth, the Corruptor If (however unlikely) you're able to pull of a Brann Bronzebeard combo, it's pretty much an insta win with Tirion Fordring and Sylvanas Windrunner possibly being doubled (also what I mean by greedy)
There's plenty of synergy to go around, and not too far fetched to pull off a few decent Brann combos, i.e. Dragon Consort and Jeweled Scarab to dig for more quality 3's.
(Edit) Replaced Sir Finley Mrrgglton and Chromaggus for another Truesilver Champion and The Black Knight. I feel C'Thun decks are going to be fairly strong, especially Druid, who have a whole heap of taunts that will make TBK viable again by itself. Chromaggus is just too slow, even for this deck. The extra Truesilver can be replaced really with whatever 3-4 drop to fill the curve out better. It does curve nicely and sometimes wins by efficient trading (thanks to Keeper of Ulduman )
(Edit 2) Removed Cairne Bloodhoof for Chillmaw and Eadric the Pure for a Lay on Hands . Chillmaw actually fits the deck perfectly, and has more than enough synergy and value to earn a place. As much as I like Eadric, LoH is just too high value in the current meta to pass up.
Having played well over 50 games with the deck, going at about 70%, only struggling against aggro Shaman and Control Priest. Druid, and midrange Shaman varieties are always good to match up against as this has nore than enough counters.
Saving a Truesilver Champion charge for Brann is necessary, as C'Thun decks rely on it quite a bit for tempo.
Very keen for feedback, good or bad. Please make it constructive though... and yes, it is a very expensive build.
This deck is actually really fun and has a lot of potential. Plenty of control with the keepers and aldor. Clear with the truesilver, equality and consecration. Dragon AND deathrattle synergy. Very versatile deck.
I made some changes based on my collection/playstyle however.
-Eadric the Pure, -Cairne Bloodhoof, The Black Knight,
+Chillmaw,+Consecration, +Lay on Hands
As I don't own these three legendaries, Chillmaw increases both synergies and is great against aggro, another consecrate increases consistency and lay on hands is useful to save yourself/a minion and draw.
I've done the Eadric and Cairne switch for LoH and Chillmaw, having played with them recently, the value generated is generally quite high. I would love to find room for a 2nd Consecration, but hard to find something to cut.
Cheers for the feedback. Appreciated. =)
I made a slightly more classic mid-range paladin and ive done insanely well with it. <snip>
I think Chillmaw is a good fit here as it is BOTH a dragon and a deathrattle card, but I'm not quite sure what to cut. Perhaps an Azure Drake?
I'll post a bit more in the description when I've played more, but so far 8-0 against C'Thun Druid & Warrior, and Evolve Shaman as well. Having high health minions negates an effective C'thun turn, with MVPs so far being Aldor Peacekeeper , Brann Bronzebeard and Dragon Consort . The latter two OP together.
Eadric the Pure just kills all midrange & control
You know things have slowed down when Cairne Bloodhoof gets max value in all games played.
Anyone actually played this? Would like to hear the review.
It's pretty fun, like 3-0 with it so far against various c'thun decks
I've been thinking about this deck a lot too, Dragon Consort is just sooooo OP here.. I really don't know about Finley though I would probably cut him for another consecration or true silver. I don't think you're going to be hero powering much and you have so many threats I think early game board is too important. Maybe a lay on Hands or something for late heal hmmm
Why not one copy of the 2/2 (can be 2/3) weapon? (It seems like it would be REALLY good at picking off early game minions, something this deck needs IMO.
I added a 2nd Truesilver, but slot isflexible for an Argent Lance if the deck struggles against zoo.
why is Sir Finley Mrrgglton in this deck?
no ragnaros?
Depends which Rag you are referring to? Ragnaros the Firelord doesn't quite fit into the decks theme (without going full roleplayer) whereas Ragnaros, Lightlord would be a more viable option to cut out something like Chromaggus or Eadric.
Like it ! Might be too slow , or perfect , depends on the meta. I'm curious about the choice of Eadric instead of Lay on Hands by the way :).
Haha, I'd imagine a bit more on the too slow side, but this would only be slightly viable if the meta was just that slow, and C'Thun decks are a staple, as I imagine that'd slow, too.
Eadric the Pure would be in the more versatile slot, able too change out (as a few) for whatever is more needed, tech wise or sustainability.
Cheers for the feedback, though. Appreciated =)
